Interestingly, at Men's Warehouse, he's not parked at the dumpster. He's parked closer to the light pole. It's puzzling because until I put the GPS numbers in I assumed he was parked right next to the dumpster. So WTF he was doing there for 40 minutes?
View attachment 337249

I think he was killing time. No pun intended.

If he's guilty, he needed somewhere to go. If he's innocent, he's known to take off when upset. It was Mother's Day, his options were limited. So he squats. IMO

The pictures from HIE in the People's Exhibits (#28 and #29) show BM carrying two bags (or pillowcases) with items inside and some loose clothing and a pair of boots into the hotel and waiting near the elevator at 8:46AM (the camera's clock showed 7:46 AM, but was an hour off) before emerging from his room at 10:06AM wearing a different shirt and carrying those same two bags, boots and some loose items. And in the AA, Grusing testified that BM had checked in before he carried those items in.

So, BM wasn't waiting to check in as he was parked at Men's Wearhouse as he had already done so.

I find it interesting that all of his documented throwaway locations are in very close proximity to each other. The transit stop (Trash Dump #1 before going to HIE), McDonald's and Men's Wearhouse (Trash Dumps #3 and #4, after spending an hour or so at HIE) are all within 2-3 blocks (probably less than a mile) of each other and the HIE is only about 3 miles away from those. I suppose there could have been more on the trip to Broomfield and LE didn't detect those.

But, if he was dumping at the closed-at-the-time-due-to-Covid Men's Wearhouse, why bother to make that quick stop just about a block away to place things in the trash bin at McDonald's? (That was where he is seen on camera using first one hand and then both to push something down deeper into the bin.). For some reason, he had some small items he wanted to place in that likely heavily used bin at McDonald's, but what?

Also, immediately after the Men's Wearhouse stop, where he spent some time, he made the call to MG - the one about which she described him as sounding like he'd had the worst night of his life. He asked her to ask JP to join them in Broomfield during that call and that was the first either MG or JP was made aware he wanted to add JP. So, did he meet with someone at Men's Wearhouse and as a result of that meeting decide to add JP? Perhaps to implicate JP in some way?

I also just was about to suggest a meeting, he might have had at MW (when he did nothing else but sitting in his truck). If he wasn't calling someone, then he might have had a "date" in the parking lot, with a male or female.

If Barry had listened harder to his podcasts, he'd have kept Suzanne's phone buzzing on Saturday, again Sunday morning.... tossed her bike somewhere she might actually ride it on his way to somewhere he actually needed to be and then claim he last saw her in biking clothes. On her blue bike. Wearing her baby blue helmet. On Mother's Day morning.

He'd still be guilty but his cover would've been more credible.

You are so very right!
I think, his fantasy didn't reach for creating a long story for the case, when Suzanne would have been awake on Sunday and telling something, him answering something, him perceiving her clothing/shoes/biking utils/breakfast, calls, which she or himself got in the morning and whatelse.
His fantasy only was enough for a speechless wife, lying in her bed, covered to the top, so that he couldn't see her night clothing - that was it. No conversations, no incidents, just a wife in bed and a busy man leaving the house. And Barry was done - with his preparations at the PP home. He worked very hard to get it ready in time, you know. :p

I'm sure it has....that image and probably tip happened very early in the case. Guilty or not guilty it was an intensely personal image of someone in grief and touched me.
Grief? Where was his grief when he showed up to talk to LE and threw his ridiculous theories at them? His only grief is for himself that he has to deal with the messy details that come along with committing murder.

If he's guilty, which I personally have absolutely no doubt about, then it really can't be "an intensely personal image of someone in grief."

It was a transparent act so bizarre that someone felt compelled to capture it.

Yes! If he was truly grieving Suzanne and whoever took that photo felt he was grieving and having such a personal emotional moment, they would not have taken a photo. I know when people get bad news or something gets them emotional with grief and they are crying or otherwise expressing such sadness and anguish, I almost feel uncomfortable. I give them space, look away, walk away a bit (unless they are speaking right to me and then I'd likely give them a hug or say something comforting).. taking a photo would be dead last of things I'd do.

Now if I was searching with someone or talking to someone I felt very uneasy about or like they were acting odd and then displayed such emotion I would likely take a photo because I would want to show someone or have proof of this odd behavior.

Also about clothing.
"Rednecks" don't wear teal. So what was the article of teal cloyh he was throwing out.
The police were slow to pick up the Broomfield video.

Maybe they missed their chance to search the landfill, which is organized and can be search for pick up place and date up till whatever destruction the stuff is destined for.

I don't think it matters really, but I think she had a port at some point during her chemo treatments, based on the pics below. You can't see a port but there is medical tape on her upper chest and her shirt allows easy access to the area (near her heart) where a port would be inserted I believe. Of course, this picture doesn't mean that she had a port when she was in remission and having the occasional maintenance dose..

Given the location where he parked and the amount of time he spent there, I think it is possible he might have been meeting someone there, perhaps to transfer some things (documents, valuables, evidence that he didn't want to get rid of but also didn't want LE to find - ETA: or that he wanted to plant for LE to find later -, bookkeeping or large amounts of cash that he couldn't easily explain and that he'd prefer LE not see) or to "get their stories straight."
Do you think the individual he might have been meeting with wore a wig? Or was wigless?

Lots of door opening and closing. He was there.

I was reading back over the timeline you have created and not only was he there for that long, but he called Morgan at the tail end of that MWH visit and she said he was out of breath and sounded like he had the worst night of his life.

So what was he doing there? If he was opening and closing truck doors and then when done sounded out of breath. Was he lugging stuff across that parking lot to throw it away? Did he think there was a camera near the dumpster, but not one where he was parked? He parked away from the dumpster at the HIE also and walked across the parking lot.. maybe he did the same here and did dump items and that is why he was out of breath?

So I was reading the timeline <modsnip>. He drove straight to the RTD bus stop before even going to the HIE. He wasn't there long so what do we think he dumped there? Something he likely needed to get rid of fast and maybe he was thinking about it the entire drive there. He knew if he was caught with this item it would be bad news. So what would he need to dispose of before even going to HIE?

Her phone charger?

I think he dumped the phone closer to home. No way he was going to drive with it in his truck and risk it pinging or something. I think that is why he asked if they found the phone and he was sure they found it. I think he threw it out somewhere near the bike or between the bike and the helmet.

I can't think of anything else that would be more incriminating than anything else that he would need to throw it out first unless it was a bloody item or something he realized was contaminated more than say just clothing he had or the boots.

Yup! He's a bad actor every which way. Then he outdoes himself with his "Oh, Suzanne!" I think we all cringe when when we think of it. I for one can't even watch it anymore!
I think SM's sister said it best. SM was a trophy to Barry - just like the other trophies on his wall. You don't grieve or mourn a trophy you take down off your wall - you just replace it IMO

What if he is a baaad boy not only since May 9th in 2020? Maybe, he had incriminating stuff in his garage, even perhaps moved it from IN to CO in 2018, which he had to throw away, before his PP home would become a crime scene with LE running around?
He is a secret doer, and he is not completely stupid. IMO

Something small. I think there's only a trash can there, no dumpster.

Oh I believe he was tossing stuff from his truck and I believe it isn’t the first time he used the opportunity of someone else’s trash. We just don’t know other than the shrub pot, and a pair of boots minus the shoelaces and I believe he said some darts — unfilled or filled — we don’t know and we don’t know what else he tossed unfortunately.

MG said that during that phone call he sounded as if he'd just had the worst night of his life.

Given the long stop at MW and the repetitive door openings and closings there (driver and passenger side), I've wondered whether BM met someone there to either pass things over (SM's phone or SIM card?... the gun from which the dart was shot?... the helmet which he'd kept to plant later to really "sell" the random abduction theory?...) or to exchange notes about how things had gone so far and next steps.

If he was meeting someone, maybe it was that person who suggested adding JP to the Broomfield job so JP would not be at DSI early the next week when LE might come asking questions. (BM had run into JP at DSI when BM showed up on Saturday to get his Bobcat blade changed. Maybe BM didn't want JP disclosing some particulars about that.). The first mention of adding JP to the job was in the phone call to MG which happened after he stopped at MW.

Alternatively, it could be that BM could not locate something he had intended to dump when he'd made that McDonald's stop, so he moved to a more discrete location to avoid attracting attention as he dug through his filthy and cluttered truck to see if he could find whatever that missing thing was (the needle sheath?... the substance he used in the needle?...or, the container that once held that substance?... SM's phone or SIM card?... Remember, he kept asking LE if they'd found SM's phone as though he expected that they would...) and his being unable to locate it caused some degree of panic. And maybe that was what accounted for the way he sounded to MG over the phone.

All MOO and speculative questions/possibilities.
