1. Why on earth would SM want to follow up on going on a hike with BM? By all accounts they were on the brink of divorce, she was afraid of him, and didn’t want to be around him. Why circle back on going for a hike? Especially when BM is supposed to have a full day of work at the job site.

2. Get hottub stuff? As a husband who frequently gets shopping requests from my wife, her requests are very specific. Get Skim Milk and a box of cheesits. Not ‘get kid drink stuff and pantry stuff’. This feels more like BM trying to be intentionally vague so that he doesn’t blow is charade.

Well, to keep the charade going. One week before I announced I was leaving, I went on a Yosemite vacation with my ex (where I did get into some relationship talk - it was awkward, but we were in a public place and I felt more safe). I think he got the drift - so that when 5 days later I moved from the marital bedroom to the guest room, he knew what was up. That's when the ugly stuff started.

"Hottub stuff" is probably Barry's domain anyway. He buys the chemicals. But it truly is suspicious that this comes from Suzanne at this time.

So typical for an abuser. When they have nothing else, they threaten suicide. I hope Suzanne was wise to the fact that Barry the coward would never kill himself.

I don't know if that is true.
My DD's best friend had the most controlling father, who controlled every aspect of all of their lives for the 20 years that I knew the family.
His final act of control was to commit suicide (of course, after threatening it) ... so now his lovely wife can always feel guilt that she wanted the stifling marriage to end, and consequently the girls lost their father.

It made me quite angry when he did that, as I had been watching him manipulate his family for years.

Interestingly, DM is running an article about the three of them ( BM, SM, JL) in high school.

It certainly brings in a new slant, as BM ( the upperclassman sports star) likely didn't really know who skinny kid JL was.

But did he know who his wife's lover was?

On the list was this entry: "Accuse me of bf and hydro 5/6" Grusing says that refers to an argument on May 6, 4 days before Suzanne disappeared, in which Barry accused her of having a boyfriend. Barry admitted the argument, but said he was not being serious when he accused her.

I’m seriously behind again, so this has probably already been said. But IMO “hydro” can refer to both hydrocodone or to hydroponically grown marijuana — i.e., commercial/medical MJ as opposed to homegrown or street weed. In SM’s case, due to her cancer, I suspect the latter as I have not heard of her trying to manage a chronic pain condition. (If you excluded BM himself. )

I seriously doubt Suzanne would be in charge of maintaining the hottub when her husband is the landscaper - ie: she didn't send that message

We know from earlier accounts by Andy that BM was allegedly very anti-drugs and that they had disagreements over SM wanting to try MJ for relief of the side effects of chemo, and SM wanting to take antidepressants. It's was unknown if SM ever used any of the above. MOO

If that doesn’t convince people he was a horrible husband, nothing will. I know it doesn’t prove he murdered Suzanne but it sure shows that while Suzanne was suffering through chemo, he didn’t want her taking medications that might give her some relief. What a jerk!

I believe they are allowed under the Victim’s Rights Act. In the recent Mark Redwine trial, Dylan’s Mom and brother testified and it was mentioned that the VRA was the reason they were allowed in be in the courtroom before their testimony. JMO

Thank you. I recall that even after the Judge dismissed Frazee's mom from her subpoena during the ph (she refused to testify invoking the 5th), he banned her from the courtroom. In fact, since she remained on the witness list for the trial, she showed up every day at trial and sat outside the courtroom. (She was never called to testify at trial).

Ok. It’s clear from the language used here that the prosecution theory is that Barry did in fact tranquilize Suzanne.

Grusing testifies he wrote in arrest affidavit that #BarryMorphew was 'most likely chasing Suzanne around while she was conscious' and that's why Barry's phone pinged in different areas in/around house, but defense says his movement impossible given time/distance of cell records.

I am not sure where the hot tub was in relation to her sun bathing location, but it could be possible it was in eye sight at the time and she knew it needed chemicals. A random Oh by the way…

So there is a thing called ‘spoofing’ which essentially lets you impersonate someone else for text, calls or chats.

This my MOO, but I don’t believe the Saturday morning texts between BM and SM were between them. I believe they were between BM and BM (impersonating SM).

It would be too much of a coicindenxe for SM to request hot tub stuff (ie Chrlorine). I think BM created the hiking scenario to make it seem like all was well, and the hot tub store scenario to give an alibi for why he needed chlorine.

Yet, it was nothing more than his premeditated plan to kill SM that afternoon. And this why he was acting so off to MG Saturday morning.
