For those that missed it, this recent update indicates that the family of the missing person and volunteers helping them have been searching, canvassing, putting up fliers, etc. trying to find the missing person. The family is likely doing many things in their search efforts that nobody on WS or the media knows about...IMO

I’m really not taking into consideration how BM should or shouldn’t act, or how he came off on camera. It’s the way LE is acting that is making me feel some type of way. I don’t care that BM is working, or buying and selling property, or hunting, or talking to strangers and not making any appeals. He could very well just be a guy who doesn’t come off well in a situation like this. However, LE is not sharing a thing, is not asking for help, and supposedly is withholding information (the article) from BM. They dug up his jobsite. They have to have more. Unfortunately for us who expect instant crime solving, this is going to take a bit.

My sense is that they know this is a homicide investigation. They may not all agree on who is responsible, but the only times I have seen this behavior, is when a homicide has occurred.

The difference here is that there is no body, and no public statement from law enforcement as to what this really is.

But they (the family) may know things we do not.

Yes, that's the really weird thing that we all keep turning over and over. What did LE think/know at about 6-6:30 pm on May 10 that made them organize a search way into the night? When did they find the bike?

What did the dogs track? Why is LE so silent? Why do they rule out suicide/wilderness misadventure and predation so quickly?

Why did they keep the family home off limits to family for an apparent 2 weeks or so? Why did they search the other property (and apparently 10 other sites, altogether - including closing off the highway for almost a whole day to have privacy to search a particular area...why?? What led them there?)

Oh yeah, he did tell that Youtuber that he had covered an impossible amount of ground, with his military buddy who had served an impossible number of deployments.

What a guy.
No, he said he had a team of searchers, and actually, if you divided that area up between smaller teams, doable. we never determined whether or not some of that area may have been covered by drone.
we did decide that charges of exaggerations wouldn’t hold up in court, and moved on. IIRC

This came from the latest update on the Gimme Fund last week.

Ironically, the point of canvassing and putting up flyers is to draw attention. If you’re doing it right, you notify the media in advance.

Must have forgot that part.

You actually make a great point. The fact that LE has not updated much as time passes, leads me to conclude there hasn’t been any bombshell or evidence. This should be an easy case to solve given all the wealth of info we saw in Letecia’s marathon journey. Perhaps LE has had to focus on the much harder investigation. Someone w/ no real connection to SM, much harder, and more time consuming. These cases are the ones that end up cold. IMO

Agreed, @al66pine .
Yes, a link would be nice as afaik LE did not say that.
At all.
I think that it was not in msm at all ?

Unless, of course, it was --then a link should be available.

If we post as fact. then a link is required; but if it's just 'somewhere on here' and our opinion only, then just edit the comment to reflect that.

A good rule of thumb for everyone. :)
At the moment, I can't find the video of the guy with a dog (Ithink!) and the blonde journalist(?) who said that a member of SM's family told her that LE asked them not to speak publicly.
There was also an approved article where (which I also cannot find???) a SM family member said the same.
I don't recall any member of BM's family ever saying anything like that.
If someone remembers what I'm talking about, re video or article, I would so appreciate your adding links.
I'm sorry if this violates rules, but I distinctly remember that these two items were approved here.
Please delete if necessary.

I doubt it. JMO

Yup, this appears to be going the way of the Gannon Stauch investigation. There has been nothing but silence from authorities, and they are maintaining that this is simply a “missing persons investigation.”

Like that case, their actions don’t jibe with the little they have said (search of the home and that construction site). So we know what’s going on (a homicide investigation), but don’t know how far along they are.

Letecia left herself no time to work with, and is as dumb as a box of rocks. I do not believe the killer here is anything like her.

I believe he had days to work with, and the ability to cover his tracks.

So I keep saying that the Jennifer Dulos case is a better guide, despite being in a different state. There was a lot of evidence there, but it still took 7 months.

I expect this to take a long time.

It may be in the article that stated that the relative thought that the girls were being protected. Moo

In the DWAP interview ( on page 1) @ the 36 min mark Lauren Scharf reported that Suzannes side of the family was asked not to talk.

Or we are currently in the middle of some very unusual times and the location of the missing person is remote? Perhaps Denver media can't send a reporter down there everytime the family is putting up posters at the park?

Are those that criticize the family of the missing in this situation doing anymore than the family is?

IMO...no.

Strange times indeed. Just look at that Amish family, who allowed for a Facebook page to be set up even though it goes against everything they believe in.

A page that is updated regularly.

And to be clear, I am criticizing one person here. I’m giving the other a pass, as I believe he is merely over his head, and being used as a pawn.

And if you think one of the reporters covering this case wouldn’t hop in their car and drive two hours in a heartbeat, then you clearly haven’t been paying attention.

Just check out Lauren Scharf’s Facebook page. She did a Facebook Live about all of the weirdness here. It’s unlike anything she’s ever seen.

LE told BM/Family What?
@kay74 :) bbm ibm My thread searches and memory are both coming up empty on ^^^ stmt in this case. Since you posted about LE & "ruin the investigation" as being said "somewhere on here" I'd appreciate a link to MSM or WS approved source for the stmt. Altho I could have forgotten having read it, since such a stmt would seem quite out of the ordinary for LE investigation in a MisPers case, I believe it would have jumped out and bit me. Can you pls find a link? Thx in adv.

If someone else here posted that LE did not want BM or family to talk, because it would "ruin the investigation" I believe that particular poster or other posters would be able to find link to MSM or WS approved source for the stmt. Maybe they will look back too, if they have time.

“I have a feeling someone told him not to talk,” the relative said about Trevor Noel’s recent silence. During the first week of the investigation, Noel told local media outlets that police had recovered Suzanne Morphew’s bike, and Suzanne’s relative believes police did not want that information leaked.

The source said that Suzanne’s family has received very little specific information about the investigation. Of the relatives who are in central Colorado, “if they are told not to say anything, they don’t,” the relative said.

“We are as much in the dark as anyone else, because they don’t want information getting out there that might hurt the case.

2 different cases. 2 sets of circumstances.

Speaking of Letecia. The thought crossed my mind that the perp could have taken her body back to Indiana. Knows the area. Has many friends.
