IMO, TD was specifically asking about SMs bike and repairs, assumed answers addressed those questions.
Not sure how many years or miles you have to ride to be considered serious, by the locals.

RBBM

Years or miles has never been a question of mine, I could care less, the comment just keeps muddying the water, it's never been part of the original question. Speaking to answers as to her bike in that interview ...I can't see any answers at all, what answers???

QUOTED Tyson…"I haven’t found one person to confirm she was on a bike ride…. Yeah so there are 3 bike shops in Salida and I was able to go to all 3 of them ….The first one flat out turned me away…..at a bike shop called Absolute, the guy there was fantastic,… and what I found out was Suzanne had not been a customer there since 2018….and Suzanne didn’t have her bicycles serviced at any of those shops and that she had a guy named Scott, who did it out of his garage…..and I tried to find out who Scott was ….I could not find out any information about him…”

What answer regarding any bike repairs , did TD address ?

“Some days I would be in the chair next to her getting chemo. Suzanne was one of the nicest people I have met. She was always cheerful and had a great attitude about her cancer and life. She loved her daughters more than anything in this world and they loved her more than anything too. She would never just up and leave them, never!

Her daughters (one or both) would always be with her for her treatments. I saw Barry come in once, he was not overly friendly and seemed to be uncomfortable there. That is not unusual as it’s often hard for loved ones to be there.

Suzanne was so happy on the day of her last treatment. She was still coming in for maintenance treatments, but the chemo was done and she was doing great. She was supposed to come in for her maintenance the Monday after Mother’s day, but of course, did not show up. She was a bright light in this world. I really miss Suzanne and pray that justice is served.

I’m a broken record on this, I know. They searched relentlessly for 7+ days. On the 5th day, ninety (that’s 90!) LE searched. There were searches with hounds and water sites near the trail were combed. If you go to the Chaffee County Sheriff website and click on “latest news”, you can scroll back to May 10th and chronologically read all of the daily press releases. I suggest this to anyone who thinks nothing was done to search for SM, a person who may have been abducted, injured or otherwise endangered. It was a large scale search, especially for that small county.

I think everyone knows LE has looked. They just haven't looked as with other cases where they are hoping to find someone. IF LE believed SM was just injured on a bike, they would ask every single citizen to help. I know Salida has a lot of treacherous terrain, but I would also bet they have a high number of private citizens who would be capable of looking. I'm thinking there are plenty of advanced hikers in the state who would be more than happy to help. The question is though where? Where was she last seen? Did she go on a bike ride? What was her typical route? I mean these are the places you would send people. You have firefighters ahem trained to put out fires in the area, surely they would be a helpful group to ask to help! Ohhh wait, they weren't asked or were asked not to? Hmmm... I wonder why. One of them said they were waiting on BM to get "cleared"
Police search and carry out evidence bags from the $1.5M home of missing Colorado mom | Daily Mail Online

Clip taken from link above starts below:

Morphew’s colleagues from the Maysville Fire Station have also been attempting to help with the search, although one told DailyMail.com they have been warned off by police.

Tim Nelson, 33, said: ‘The Sheriff’s office, they told us none of the fire guys are allowed up there.

‘They can’t keep us out of the forest so that’s what some of the others have done – they set up their own little search party.’

Nelson added: ‘It’s a bad deal you know. They aren’t telling us anything. We got excluded from everything.

‘George [Davis] put together a search team of friends – I was going to go but pretty much all our fire guys are on it so I decided to step away just in case we get something [a fire].

‘Barry was very understanding from what I got from George. I know he’s not allowed to go home. He’s at a neighbor’s. I guess they got him there until he’s cleared or…’

1) LE’s investigation appears to be focused on BM.
2) BM’s behaviour does not appear to match what is typically expected of an innocent man.
3) conclusion: BM appears to be the most likely suspect

Thats a reasonable summary. Even without #2. I don't care so much to analyze his behavior. I'm more concerned with LE taking his phone and car. Never being allowed to remain in the home after coming back from Denver per Daily Mail. Then getting the house back, but getting asked to leave for second search. In the interim they dug up a private citizens property that BM had just worked on. They also have not/or did not allow fire dept to assist bc BM has ties there. It also at least sounds as if BM was the last person to see her alive. That hasn't been confirmed, but I'm not seeing room for a lot of other suspects

Looks like tomorrow’s broadcast is going to be more interesting than that segment, as it will feature a neighbor of the property owners of that site that was excavated.

Pretty much everything in that broadcast was covered in that article on the Fox website.

BBM:

Ohmygosh.
You cannot be serious.
Dude. You're such a dude sometimes.

That segment was hugely interesting and informative. HUUUUGELY.

We had no idea what type of cancer SM had, until this piece aired.
We had no sense of what her personality was like until this piece aired.

It's clear she loved being a Mom to her girls, and her identity as a Mom was important to her.

Most tellingly to me, no one had a single word to say about how happily married SM was to BM.
Sometimes, it's important to listen to what people aren't saying.

Those interviews LS did with friends/family were gold.

But, no: You just want to hear about digging around in the dirt.

I swear, I'm just going to buy you some Tonka trucks and call it a friggin' day.

I’ve only read the written transcript on Fox21 so far and a few more things to add that were not already mentioned:

Suzanne’s cousin said she was a wonderful mother and was not sure she could have children but Jesus made a way for that miracle twice (paraphrasing). With her reported missing on Mother’s Day that is especially gut wrenching. She said Suzanne had been spending a lot of time with her girls and they had been cooking meals together and enjoying the extra time they got to spend together during the quarantine.

A fellow cancer survivor said Suzanne’s daughters (one or both) were always with her during her chemotherapy. She said she saw Barry at chemo with Suzanne only once and he was not very friendly and he seemed uncomfortable. But she added a lot of loved ones can be uncomfortable in that situation.

Lauren was right...learned a lot more about Suzanne and what kind of person and mother she is. It made me very sad.

However enlightening this is about Suzanne, this is disturbing to me.

I have wondered if she was suppose to be somewhere Monday, and that would how she was "suppose" to be reported missing. And there it is.

"That is not unusual as it’s often hard for loved ones to be there." I cant accept this. BM was his own boss. He could have made darn sure her treatments were on his schedule, way more than once. It was as hard for him to be there for her then as it is now. Rude!! So HIS life has always been more important than hers, which makes his actions after she disappeared "not unusual".

Family and friends spoked to FOX21 Digital NOW Suzanne, describing her as beautiful inside and out. The family still hopes Suzanne will come home.

“Suzanne has always been beautiful. Everything about her is beautiful you don’t just see beauty when Suzanne is around, you feel it. Suzanne loves Jesus and she loves like Jesus. Always with a sweet smile and a kind word. She has a peaceful presence about her. She loves her family. She is so thankful to be a Momma, it wasn’t a guarantee for her, not something she could assume would happen when she was ready. Jesus made a way. Not once but twice. Blessings upon blessings.

We have a lot of questions and to say we don’t understand why or how this could happen to precious Suzanne is an understatement. But I know that wherever Suzanne is He is with her and she is with Him. When I stumble and my faith becomes weak I think of Suzanne and know she would want me to praise Him in this storm. He didn’t promise we wouldn’t face them, but he promised we wouldn’t face them alone. Suzanne is so very loved, to know her is to love her. Please help us find her.”

“She was one of those people that would make you feel happy when you saw her,” Karry Wooddell said. “She was someone who would make you feel comfortable and she was so kind and open and would do anything for you.”

Wooddell met Suzanne at the gym after she moved to Colorado in the fall of 2018. Their daughters play high school volleyball together. Wooddelln said she considered Suzanne to be one of her best friends.

“She was super fit and you could tell she loved working out and loved being at the gym and, so, instantly we hit it off and started talking about our workouts and what we were doing,” Wooddell explained. “It was fun to get to see the two of them working out together and you could see them catching up together on the treadmill, they were really close.” bbm

[Note: It's unclear to reader who the friend is referring to here re. 'two of them.' Daughter? BM? Previous MSM reports state BM/SM often seen working out together at the gym].

“One of the last times I saw her, I was at Walmart when the pandemic had started,” Wooddell said, in tears.

“I saw her pull up across from me in her car and – it’s been lonely. Gyms were closed, everyone had been socially distant, so I had missed seeing her. And she was one of the people I had really missed seeing, so when I saw her pull up, I went to just tap on her window. She rolled her window down and I jumped back, because I didn’t want to be close to her and, she’s just so cute, she said, ‘Oh, I’m just about to mask up. I’m about to put all my stuff on.’ I said, ‘How are you, how are the girls?’ And she was telling me about how much fun she and the girls were having cooking and planning meals every day, and how much she was cherishing this time with both of her daughters.”

Suzanne, a strong woman on many levels, overcame Hodgkins Lymphoma twice. Once before her children were born, and again as the Morphew family moved to Colorado. The family says they celebrated her last cancer treatment on October 1, 2019.

“Some days I would be in the chair next to her getting chemo. Suzanne was one of the nicest people I have met. She was always cheerful and had a great attitude about her cancer and life. Suzanne also served, enthusiastically, at Grace Church in Salida, volunteering and providing lunches for students at Young-Life. FOX21 reached out to the church for a comment. Staff there would not provide a comment on Morphew’s disappearance, but did say their church community is praying for her. As yet, no prayer vigil has been planned.

“Suzanne has always been a wonderful person. Growing up, she truly was kind to everyone. She would always be there to lend an ear, if you needed it. Quiet, beautiful, always carried herself well.

She reminds me a lot of her mother, and the word I always use to describe Adrianne is “Classy”. Suzanne had a beautiful singing voice in High School. She was in the Choir, as well as Show Choir, those were fun times!

She reached out to me, after moving to Colorado, to see if I knew, or was planning a 30 year Class reunion for last year, as she wanted to plan a trip home for it! Oh, how I regret not stepping up, and making that happen.”

During a time of panic and confusion, Wooddell indicated, Suzanne put her family first.

Her family and her community is now returning that favor.

“We are on a mission to find Suzanne,” Nephew Trevor Noel said.

“I know that there isn’t a day that goes by that I don’t look – look her name up to see if anything new has come up,” Wooddell added.

The family said the two Morphew daughters are staying with their dad at the family home in Maysville. A plea from Suzanne’s husband, Barry was shared online exactly a week after she disappeared. A reward of $200,000 by the missing woman’s family and friends is being offered in exchange for her safe return.

FOX21 has made several attempts to speak with Barry Morphew, but have not heard back.

Watch FOX21 News at 9 on Thursday, July 23 for a second special report on the investigation into the disappearance of Suzanne Morphew.

I think so too. And they're more than likely watching him. Sometime when it appears someone (potential suspect) is attempting to leave the area, they just go ahead and make an arrest just to keep them around while they keep building the case.

Yeah you're right they can ask, but they don't have a right to enforce it. You can't say "no one has been ruled out" so what? No one from Salida can leave? If you want to have rights to stop someone from leaving, then arrest them. Then you need it to be part of their bond condition to stay in whatever designated area which I would guess a judge has to also sign off on (though it's pretty standard). Leticia Stauch left and she was also part of the "no one has been ruled out" wording and she did leave the state. They also had evidence that Gannon had been murdered by day 2 or so when they found so much blood in the home.

BBM:

This is not the first time we've seen him described in this way.

A pattern is emerging.

SM is consistently characterized as being a very warm, friendly person.

BM, not so much.

Usually, I find the facts and details more interesting. Who said what, what were their exact words, when did this or that happen, what were the dates of, how did LE treat this or that; but hearing more about her as a person made me teary.

I dont get where you got Monday from because her kids were going to spend Mother's day with her. Surely they would notice their mom gone on Mother's day

Regarding BM's demeanor. After they took care of my cancer I had to go in every 6 months for blood work and would see the doc a few weeks later. But after the blood draw I could be given the basic blood panel and while that was not as important as the marker results a few weeks later some things in the white blood cell counts could be red flags. Between the blood draw and receiving the blood results they put me in the huge room where all the chemo treatments were taking place. Big recliners and the chemo patients might be reading a book or watching a movie with earphones, but the vast majority were sleeping. 90%-100% were by themselves and it was eerily quiet. The rare few in there with someone weren't talking either. Even the nurses' station with about 4-5 nurses were quiet or whispering. On one occasion, a couple across from me were waiting for results (not blood from what I gathered) the nurse comes to them and discusses the wife's pancreatic cancer results and it isn't good at all. I was never so glad when my nurse showed up with my results. She asked if she wanted to go over them. I thanked her and quickly left. I spent many months at sea in the Navy and went through North Atlantic storms with 25-30 degree rolls for days on end and didn't get the least bit sick. I took my results quickly and left and went straight to the head. I didn't throw up, but it was close.

If someone ever sees me in one of those chemo rooms, I'm probably the most unfriendly person they've ever come across. Not once have I ever spoken to anyone except the nurse who gives me the blood panel and it isn't a long conversation. And I don't linger after that point.
