However, a pattern of impulsive, threatening behavior does. Maybe you’ve missed some of the context here.

At any rate, my work is in behavioral science and my sense of this is that BM seems increasingly unpredictable.

Have you listened to all the vocalizations from him that we have availability? Combine that with his actions and you tell me - as a lay person (I’m a psychiatric anthropologist, specializing in epidemiology and field diagnostics/methods)...do you think BM comes across as an innocent man, with good relationships with others?

His wife is missing. His comrade MG says he was acting weird that weekend. Now his wife’s brother - his (former?) family member organizes a search which, instead of joining in, he disrupts with trail cams and comes bearing a shotgun.

He puts an elk head (with flesh) next to his house sometime around the same weekend - is this the behavior of a cautious man?

At least they found what appears to be a place where lions drag their kills today and the forensic people can take a look (Suzanne isn’t there is my bet).

And tomorrow, the drones fly.

I have more than 30 years experience interviewing and studying both the convicted and the non-convicted and I say that this situation is making BM feel upset and anxious. His response is to show up at the edge of his property with a shotgun.

Neither you nor I is a judge - but the one judge we have here on this thread said that they think a judge would find this very interesting. Provocative, even

Every judge I know would be keenly interested (but I’m in California where, of course, we do tend to err on the side of judicial caution - or at least we used to until very recently).

The fact is, neither you nor I knows what a local judge will find to be probable cause for the fourth known search warrant in this case - if it comes.

Time seems ripe for another one, if you ask me. Especially as BM has another place to live - he doesn’t have to be there and no one trespassed.

Why the trail cams?? What’s he afraid of?

More important, why isn’t he out there doing exactly what the searchers are doing? I’ve said all along that finding the mountain lion’s feeding grounds/den area is crucial here - to ruling in/out what happened.

It’s obviously possible and took only one day, with dedicated, organized people. What happened to the money raised for BM & family for searching? Why did AM have to raise other funds to do this search?

While misappropriation of donated money may not be a crime (although it can be, can’t it?), it’s just another red flag in this case.

Judges do act on red flags. All.the.time.
I would say a search warrant would be valid, if just to check the SD cards of the trail cameras to see what BM was doing beside mounting cameras. This guy keeps sabotaging himself.

I don't think anybody knows. Maybe she is covering another story. She's been putting so much time into this case lately, she probably needs a break for her own sanity.

I like your positive outlook. I hope it is nothing more than what you speculate.

IMO LS received some disturbing news and feared for her safety. She's put so much time and effort into this. "needing a break" when rubber meets the road seems unlikely.

This is all MOO.

Oh my.
Such a powerful post.
MOO.

I think they would need more than that in order to get a search warrant. He's probably paranoid that people are going to trespass on his property and wants to be able to prove it if they do.

If this was well planned out - and IMO it was - does BM really seem to be someone that could deal with all of the details ? All alone ? Look way back at the beginning. He was quirky way back then but somewhat in control. Way too calm in that first video release. And then with TD video. Since then an escalation in his responses. He claims to be 100% innocent !! Something to me - beyond where the evidence may lie - seems to give BM an underlying confidence. Almost a flippant sense - which he has whipped around plenty.

No. But it does show Barry’s character (flaws), and what his mindset is.

You have all these people donating their time and energy to finding your missing wife, and you greet them not with a “thank you” and a smile, but a warning and a gun.

What a jerk.

I went to "like" your post only to discover that i had already liked it
I love when that happens - when one like just isn't enough
I appreciate your words telling it like it is

He gave many details it seemed about how the bike was found, I’m struggling to remember all the details he gave. Upside down, against a tree is very uncomplicated (BM speak for sure)!

Tyson Draper tells Nancy Grace how BM described to him how Suzanne's bike was found.

“found down against a tree at the bottom of the canyon and the wheel was upside-down”

BBM:

I'll be shocked if she wasn't either buried or dropped down a large hole, mine, etc., into what amounts to being a makeshift grave.

I can't picture her being left out in the open.

JMO.
I would be surprised if she wasn't hidden well, too. Strangers who kill randomly often don't bury the body but family or people close to the victim usually take the time to put them where they think they won't be found, often in a place they are familiar with.
Imo

Just catching up. In tonight’s PE video around 25:41, Andy says people around there are nervous and that he doesn’t know what that is all about.

Who is he referring to? The locals? Are they in fear of BM - or - of something being uncovered?

Any ideas?

yessss, I have no love for BM and I hope he gets everything he deserves, that being said I want to scream at him "get a lawyer, or a media consultant. What are you doing?" because literally, everything he does makes it worse. Your not that smart bro and that should be obvious by now. God knows he has the money from the Indiana house sale
No, no. Let's just allow him to get enough rope to figuratively hang himself! :)

Sorry if this has been discussed to death, I'm just catching up-

At 3:31 Andy says he went to Puma Path to search. Said they found some "interesting items" that he won't mention because CBI & FBI are investigating them -https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qpLOBNST0so

I caught bits & pieces from you guys that BM put game cameras up and is walking around the property with a gun?

Has he lost his ever-lovin mind?!!!

CO. Gun Laws?
These articles* summarize CO. st. gun laws. If BM was carrying a shotgun on his property, but not brandishing it or threatening anyone w it, lawful behavior??? (Not that I'd trespass on that property or be close by.)

"Red flag law"** aka "Extreme Risk Protection Order." ??? BM???
In CO, when person w firearm is dangerous to self or other residents of same household.
"The police may temporarily confiscate firearms from people who are threatening to harm themselves or others or have been accused of the same by someone who resides at the same address of the subject, and then get a court order afterwards." ** per wiki summary-table, below.* The 26 page CO statute itself *** was enacted in 2019.

FWIW, other than CO: "As of April 2020, 19 states and the District of Columbia have enacted some form of red-flag law.[9] The specifics of the laws, and the degree to which they are utilized, vary from state to state." **

I’m wondering this too! What the heck is going on in that town?

BBM, I’ve loved watching each of you return to the site tonight and be flabbergasted by this!

So I have to read a bit more to catch up but has anyone else mentioned or thought that BM's actions sound like a guy who's planning on going out in a blaze of glory. The cameras, the rifle......it's like Scarface. Rather scary for LE. At least they know what may happen and will be appropriately equipped. moo
