IIRC, there were a number of trophy heads on the wall when the Morphews bought the place, so some or all of them weren't BM's.
I went thru all of the old pictures of the PP house and there was only the elk trophy which I think is the same one in the new pictures....it's hard to tell for sure as the rack is not fully visible in Barry's new picture. The dining room set is also the same in both sets of pictures so the previous owners must have left it behind too.

I remember seeing several trophy heads somewhere and I think it must have been the real estate pictures of their house in Indiana because there was a lot of commentary about how masculine that house was too. I've looked for those pictures this morning and I can't find them.

So we don’t know BM debt load. It may exceed several million.
Is he liquidating what he can, and perhaps planning to file bankruptcy leaving his creditors holding the bag?
I smell bankruptcy in the air. IMO

I think we could speculate all day long about why he does the things he does but in the end it's going to come down to what we can prove. However, it would be reasonable to think that given the current pandemic coupled with Suzanne missing and how a lot of people are feeling about his actions that he is not making the money in business that he once did. So he's having to make some moves to get fast cash to keep up his appearance or to just keep himself and the business afloat. He may be in over his head with mortgages and other business related expenses so he's having to make some major changes. Either way I hope there is a major break in the case soon and Suzanne and her family can get justice and peace that they deserve.

But, my nephew works in Colorado Springs for a building firm that sells supplies ect. He has been working 6 days a week and 10 or11 hours a day since May. He told me over the week end, he thought everyone has been redoing their homes, building new ect...since covid started, he is wore out from all of the work.

SPECUALTION:

Money doesn't seem to have been an issue. Lot's of equity (houses and property?) unless there is lots of debt. Unknown.

Forgetting the unknowns for a moment, let's assume financial stability so, what else could it have been?

That a someone might be a controlling, self-centered individual, would that be enough reason for that someone to disappear a SO?

There had to be a trigger, a desire or a wanting to be released.

• A controlling nature and anger got out of hand?

• A current mistress or a desire to eventually have someone other than a SO?

• A desire for money, freedom and all the 'fun' that combination could deliver?

• A frustration or exhaustion; cancer always an underlying issue?

WHAT WAS THE MOTIVE?

MOO MOO MOO
As far as finances go, I deal with dozens of contractors and their modus operandi is almost always the same. They usually are living on the profits of the job they haven't completed and have to keep getting draws to stay ahead. Not all are that way but the ones I deal with are almost completely. They usually live beyond their means, have larger houses than they can afford, are in debt tremendously, and are literally one job from a total collapse of their entire situation. It's sort of an ego thing it seems like. Most of my clients thrive on having the biggest and newest vehicles, the biggest house, and the most toys for men. They tend to make more money than they report because believe it or not, there are still a lot of cash deals being done. It would not surprise me if he was tremendously leveraged. When the real estate and mortgage industries collapsed in the 2005-2008 years, many contractors were caught in a bad situation with subs unpaid or holding spec houses that could not be sold and their little world crashed resulting in fewer contractors for a while, some filing bankruptcy, and some taking other jobs.

Usually, barring accidental death, deaths of this nature seem to involve one or two common threads - money or other women. In this case, I'm suspecting both. Maybe the woman is just laying low and eventually she might have her "Amber Frey moment" and reveal herself. Has anyone looked into bankruptcy records for him to see if he has ever filed? They tend to file sometimes more than once so maybe this was to prevent a second filing.

And you know what...this is all my own opinion.

Yeah, the timing of the sales is what intrigues me. He could sit on those assets for a year or more and be fine as long as he has cash coming in to live off of. But to free up that much cash so quickly and I’d imagine he realizes how bad this looks for him, there has to be an external pressure that is forcing his hand.

The longhorn ranch looks like it has a lot of work to be done before they can even break ground on construction, so it doesn’t make sense for him to need the money for that purpose.
External pressure or external advice. I'm betting that he is getting legal advice on making these moves.

I agree, bankruptcy cometh next. Advice from a good bankruptcy lawyer perhaps.

Quick question: which is the master bedroom? The one with the tufted bed frame?

if this is the master bath seen slightly through the door - this would be MBR IMO

Yes, you are right. I just compared with the pics from the previous listing.

I'm of the opinion that these are "pics by homeowner", considering the new listing does not showcase the master suite.

So many oddities in these shots. I feel like I'm doing one of those "spot the differences" puzzles from the old Highlights magazine.

I was thinking the same thing. I just dont see how his small landscaping business could support the bills for the large home, new truck, paying workers, fuel, lodging for workers, and so on and so forth.

He may have gotten advice to move his assetts into cash so when he files for bankruptcy he would have control of whats left of the money.

I do hope LE has a way to make sure he stays in the country. I could see him making a run for it with certain large amounts of cash that could be gotten from the selling off of properties.

Ita.
And remember the house is being sold "As is".
Iirc.
I find it amazing that a seller lists a home for $1.7 M with an "as is" requirement. I would expect a home that costs that much money to be in pristine condition. Maybe, the land is what is more valuable than the home.
