Wow, I don't think I've ever seen an antler chandelier before. That's a very large house for LE to search. I hope they find evidence that will help find Suzanne.

Didn't one source say they found an item about 2000 feet from the home? I wonder if that's true. I think it was Nancy Grace.

Where they found it, would help to narrow down a possible scenario. Because I stared at the satellite image last night, and wondered. Who would drive up the 225 from Highway 50, park their car out of sight, abduct Suzanne transport her to the car. And then plant the bike plus that personal item and then leave. Also in that scenario meant going undetected past three houses. Plus being on the lookout for anybody coming from the Colorado Trail.

<modsnip>. IF the bike was placed where it was by someone other than SM as a way to make it look like she left it there during a ride, then it obviously worked. It’s taking the focus away from the home which we now see being searched. IMO this was never about the bike. Would a random person be able to cause such a stir over her and her bike? I feel her being missing has to be due to someone she knew or was acquaintances with and not a stranger.

I know. I don't believe in someone "staging" this bike. good grief. This isn't a movie.

Yes, the husband's been reported a Volunteer FF for the Chaffey County Fire District.

Chaffee County Fire Protection District, the volunteer fire department for all of Chaffee county, is headquartered at 499 Antero Circle, Buena Vista. The Fire Chief is Robert Bertram of Poncha Springs. There are five fire stations including in 50 La Plata St, Poncha Springs and at 16820 County Road 220, Maysville.

There are five churches in Salida, and four churches in Poncha Springs. None of them have had physical services during the COVID 19 closures, but all of them seem to have been providing online virtual church services during this time.

They sell these antler chandeliers all over Colorado. They are not real antlers at least not the ones I've seen.

I think the way the bicycle was found told a "story" and is helping LE in a certain direction. Here is why I feel that way.

First and most importantly to me is the nephew seemed to think the bike was very important too.

For example if the bike was found with one of those small Disc Brake Locks attached or a damaged wheel or damaged locked up brakes where it could not be ridden, then that would tell the story that she could not have ridden it from her home.

So if it was found in any unrideable condition that was known to have been done prior and not from a recent car smashing into it, then that would be huge evidence to point LE in a certain direction.

The FB page not being updated is very curious, and the being shut down curious as well. Could it be that the leaky family member is not as close or in the know as first thought? They were starting to refer to him as the family spokesperson, and I do not think he really ever spoke on behalf of the family. Maybe the family reined him in, or LE did.

To be clear, the gimme fund has not been shut down. People are still donating.

I'm curious to the opinions of some of the veterans on this site re: the lack of noise by the family on this. Obviously LE has been tight-lipped, and that's been discussed at length. We have very little from BM (original offer of a reward with a statement and a week later the video) - but nothing else. TN seemed to be active early on, but has apparently gone quiet. There is very little in the way of public comments from the family (and I'm including extended family in that). On one hand, I can potentially understand BM laying low (on advice of counsel, whether he's involved or not) until/if he's officially cleared (I don't think the husband can win in the interim - there's a presumption of guilt by so many, every statement and video gets micro-analyzed, etc.) - but for the entire family (both sides, apparently) to be keeping quiet (short of the uncle in Indiana who hadn't seen them in two years) strikes me as unusual - but is it?

I don't know about anyone else but it makes me feel like they've all got some idea of what happened. There doesn't seem to be any (public) desperation from them to find a stranger who took her etc... maybe they've been advised to keep quiet?

The vehicles in the driveway have been described as law enforcement vehicles, not Morphew vehicles.

Here are some aerial shots of the Morphew home from this morning. Two law enforcement vehicles are in the driveway. The sheriff said the home is one of the many areas of focus during this investigation. Search warrant is sealed (per usual with cases like this) #SuzanneMorphew

Yes, the vehicles in the driveway in the CBS4 video are law enforcement. The emblems on them are visible in some views during the video.

Suzanne going for a bike ride every Sunday before church is a new tidbit, isn't it?

Of course, with Covid-19 and social distancing and no in-person services and with Suzanne likely being high risk, that's kind of a moot point. Other than she generally goes for a ride on Sundays.

Except I don't think she went on a bike ride that Sunday. I think her bike may not have been in working order and that's why the nephew was so adamant about the condition of the bike.

MOO

I think the leakiest leak was BM's nephew Trevor Noel. He seems to have gone quiet though. At least publicly.

Speculation follows:
In looking at this through a different lens (and including the time TN says "the husband"), IF there is a rift in the family, and TN et al are more on SM's side, I can understand the nephew's frustration with the bike's condition not being made public (if it were not in working order), and also the silence on the Find SM Facebook page. They would definitely want to uphold how LE is handling the case, and even though they could make more generic posts about finding SM, circumstances probably became much more difficult to handle emotionally after LE cordoned off and searched the house and took the Morphew vehicles.

Speculating on a different scenario for the nephew and those helping him on the Find SM Facebook page.

IMO.

I think that the responses to your question are as variable as the folks who respond. And their responses will be based on their own likely actions, or that of their friends and families. Following that line of reasoning, I and my family would not be in the press or media at all. We wouldn't appear for any press conference or give interviews. I can't say what friends or acquaintances may say or do but I expect our friends would honor our wishes.
Whatever is considered usual or unusual, you can be sure that 50% of all the others will be on the other side of your behaviors. That's what keeps WS alive and kicking.

I’m not a senior member but one possibility that both sides are so quiet is that the family is very divided in who they believe/support.

If they support Barry, perhaps Barry is instructing them via his counsel to remain quiet because anything that is said could end up harming him.

If they support SM, perhaps LE has told them that they believe they know what happened but without a body and potentially with limited DNA type evidence in the house, they have a lot of work ahead of them to prove their theory and this speaking out in anyway could be harmful to their investigation.

Just a thought.

But the complete lack of silence from all side related to “finding a missing person” is very telling as to both sides having a good idea of what actually happened.

I guess it makes me think of Jayme Closs case. It seems it was sometime before we heard from family, and eventually the aunties did a video statement and plea to her or her kidnapper.

Nine days later. Jayme was kidnapped on Oct 15, and her auntie's spoke out on Oct. 24 2018
