NY Daily News identifying him in 2 photos as "a man who identified himself as JL, the uncle of the shooter AL."

However, the same NYDN article quotes an AL and does not bother to distinguish whether or not these quotes are from the man who identified himself as the uncle in the photos.

Way to go, NY Daily News!

It took 3 "journalists" to write that article and not one could bother to confirm such an individual's identity.

Other newspapers have run with it too!!!!

Did Dr. Ludwig know Mrs. Lanza? If not, he needs to spend some time in a locked psych unit. Lots of patients are violent towards the nursing staff and psych techs and it isn't because they have spent too much time with the staff. There are people born with psychopathology or the predisposition to develop severe psychopathology and nobody "caused" it.

no, I think Ludwig was asked by Judge Perrine what her theory was.
Ludwig thought homeschooling and doing everything with AL could of been to much. Just her own theory as a Dr.

Yes, your comments make alot of sense and echo the experts comments from what doctors have told us about our brother's schizo-affective disorder

Psychopaths are mentally ill and have a strong disposition to be dangerous from their environment, people associating with, genetics, and self creating themselves to become dangerous to society

Not all mentally disabled people are dangerous

And not all mentally ill people can become psychopathic

The humble heroes of Sandy Hook

Updated 09:57 AM Dec 17, 2012

NEWTOWN (Connecticut) - A worker who turned on the intercom, alerting others in the building that something was very wrong. A custodian who risked his life by running through the halls warning of danger. A clerk who led 18 children on their hands and knees to safety, then gave them paper and crayons to keep them calm and quiet.

Out of the ruins of families that lost a precious child, sister or mother, out of a tight-knit town roiling with grief, glows one bright spot: The stories of staff members at Sandy Hook Elementary School who may have prevented further carnage through selfless actions and smart snap judgments.

So a mother can give an "adult" child these injections without any resistance? Thank you I had no idea. I had a friend who was an adult who absolutly refused to take his meds. He is no longer with us (thankfully he took no one else with him). I'm wondering if his parents knew they coud just give him a shot?
Patients go to the community mental health center to get their shot. Some may receive their injection if they are an inpatient. Each patient should have a caseworker who follows their medication schedule. After the patient's anxiety/agitation/delusions/hallucinations/and etc.. are relieved (after their first injection) it becomes easier to get the patient to comply with receiving his/her next injection.

Patients can also be given their antipsychotic medication in liquid form. It only takes a few ml. This is a very tiny amount of liquid.

Homeschooling and "spending too much time" with a child makes them psychotic?

Where do these TV doctors get their degrees? Quackerville University?

Oh no, do you know which ones?

I went ahead and called the Newtown Police, since he could hang around and talk to who knows how many people. I told them I didn't want to add to their issues, but this person was in town spreading Bs for his own entertainment, but it was being reported as fact. I assured the woman that she could look the name up online, and quickly find a picture, if they wanted to see who to look for.

Here in Cincinnati, OH med taking is kin dof strange

The supervised group homes have a staffer administer all meds to patients

Then the other group homes, which are loosely supervised, it's up to the resident patients to be responsible for taking their med, totally unsupervised

I just don't get that...it's something with patient rights BS..

My question still stands...what do you do when they refuse to take the meds? I have first hand experience with this. My friend on meds felt like he was "cured" and then sometimes he felt like he was "non-emotional therfore not a person". He decided to end it, thankfully he took no one else with him.

How do we medicate one who doesn't want to be medicated?

Anyone have a link for Robert Parker's full speech?? TIA

Principal Hochsprung's husband, step-daughters, and one of her two daughters in taped interview on CNN/Anderson Cooper

husband was angry in the beginning and has remained angry, until today, upon learning that his wife put herself in harm's way attempting to defuse the murderer

why would she do that? she's only 5'2"

his anger evaporated today after speaking w/ two (female?) teachers/staffers the principal urged to take cover before she confronted the murderer

now I'm just sad

daughter was asked what she would say to her mom if she could

come back to us

You don't and you cannot. Unless they are under some sort of court order or in a facility- you cannot make an adult take meds. Adults are over 18 and that is that. The best you can do is convince them to get onboard.
