From the sounds of it...rarely.

Who did he interact with face-to-face other than his mother?

Has anybody been quoted in the media saying they had spoken/seen him in the past few years?

Only interaction, if true, I've read so far is his trip to buy a gun (?) just days before the assault. Hope we hear more from that salesperson as to AL's demeanor, appearance, statements, etc.

ETA: And, possible interactions during gun range outings.

I wonder if Mom did any preparations in the way of a Will etc. I really wonder who she would have entrusted "his" care to :what:

Where does it say he lived in the basement? They had a 3000 sq ft house. Why would he live in the basement? :waitasec:

According to a plumber who worked at the home in Newtown, Adam Lanza was 'obsessed' with weapons and violent video games such as Call of Duty.

Peter Wlasuk, 45, said the windowless basement, where Lanza's older brother had lived previously, was all but self-contained with computers, a TV, a bed, and a bathroom.

The walls of the room, where he spent all his time, were covered with posters of guns and tanks from as early as the 1940s and another showed every piece of equipment ever made by the U.S.

More dramatic wording:

SCHOOL massacre maniac Adam Lanza fuelled his violent fantasies while hidden away in a windowless bunker plastered with posters of guns and tanks.

Lanza, 20, spent hours playing bloodthirsty computer games such as Call Of Duty and obsessivly studying weapons in the basement at mum Nancy’s home. It came as the first funerals of the victims were held yesterday.

Plumber Peter Wlasuk went into the basement many times while working at the plush four-bedroom house and got a glimpse into the disturbing underground world where Lanza plotted his crimes.

He said: “It was a beautiful house but he lived in the basement. I always thought that was strange.

“But he had a proper set up down there — computers, a bathroom, bed and desk and a TV. There were no windows.”

Did someone post this already? I just saw chatter on mynFB that Newtown is on lockdown again...trying to find link

From the article, bbm:

But in a letter to parents published by WFSB-TV, the principal says students at Head O'Meadow Elementary School should stay home because police were prepared to have the school in lockdown. School officials said the lockdown was normal procedure because some threats were predicted by police.

So happy they were already on it.

The source is an interview with his mother's plumber in a tabloid. Seriously.

Earlier and other sourcing has said that he occupied two rooms in his mother's house -- a bedroom and another room he used as a den.

Entirely possible that the rooms were located in the basement of the home.

I wonder if Mom did any preparations in the way of a Will etc. I really wonder who she would have entrusted "his" care to :what:

AL was an adult. No need for anybody to be entrusted to care for him.

Thank you. I will take that with a pinch of Salt because unless that plumber lived with them, how did he know where Adam was all the time?

Could have been a game room. I live in New England and many people use their basements as rec rooms, man caves, play rooms. So it wouldn't be odd for rich folks like that to let their kids take over the basement as an entertainment space. Not trying to say it isn't true, just not taking the word of a plumber and The Sun as gospel until it is confirmed elsewhere that he lived in the basement.

There can be, and there can be external hard drives, all of that is if you are really a computer savvy person. We are not sure how savvy he was, but I would be savvy enough if he knew to try to destroy hard drives.

Even I can add/switch out multiple hard drives and I don't consider myself savvy anymore. lol :)
