No it isn't wrong. But if this father did run instead of dying trying to save his children, do you want them , or his family to know that?

IMO Sometimes the price of truth is too high.

He made the choice to honor his basic survival instincts. What's wrong with that? I see no shame in it, and he shouldn't either if that is that truth of the matter. What is the cost? His family may find out that he is human with the basic instinctual drive to save himself?

Are you a mind reader? LOL !! I have been thinking A LOT about what we have been told, and how much this has changed since day one. It shouldn't be THIS confusing.

I have even read conflicting reports about cameras in the school. At this point, I don't know wha or even who I should believe. Goes back to
--->:banghead:

For what it's worth, I think there were cameras in the school. There was footage of the officers running into the school, and I am pretty sure that was from the school cameras, because to the best of my knowledge, by the time the media got there, there was no one running into the school. The need to run was, sadly, over.

I could be wrong though, and I haven't seen that footage since about the third day, so it might have been pulled from the media.

I expect the truth!! If what you are saying is true, why would ANYONE feel badly towards him? An unarmed man really has no other choice but to run in a situation like that.

In my opinion, it wouldn't be any worse than the way the parents were told by the Gov. that their children had been murdered. (cries)...There had to have been a better way.

all jmo....
I respect your thoughts. And in a perfect world you are correct. We don't live in a perfect world and for the most part, men feel they have to behave differently then the rest of society. I personally wouldn't feel any differently toward this father for saving himself, it doesn't mean he didn't, "in that "moment" feel what MOST of society feels... Save your children at any cost. He knew that wasn't an option and he fled. Now some media is hunting him down. I personally think we should leave him alone. He has been through enough, and will, FOR THE REST OF HIS LIFE.

The earliest report stated that this was a neighbor that lived behind the woods and the school. When heard heard gunshots, he walked from his home behind the school towards the noise and was arrested. (I have no idea if this is true.)

Another story said that this was a legitimate hunter in the woods. He was spotted by LE that morning and arrested.

We may never know the truth.

I agree I really do not think it matters in the slightest, kinda like a ford pick-up speeding off from a crime scene and determined not to be involved AND THAT did not happen, I don't want pages and pages about a not involved pick-up nor do I want this not involved person going on forever.

Article about the Dad --- found here

He attempted to reach his daughter by going around the side of the school. Police had arrived by then, stopped him and briefly handcuffed him.

*** And I omitted the Dad's name, but it is out there.

THANK YOU!

So, now aren't these two separate people/events?!?

Since he is alive and his name is in the paper, it must be obvious who he was. IF he ran, who can fault him? I sure can't. It's not like it's a big secret any more. Naw, I think there is something more here that we will never hear. 'ell, you might get arrested if you post something the sherrif doesn't like. Well, I don't like some of this at all.

The murders, committed by Adam Lanza, have broken my heart.
Adam's brutal murder, of his Mother have also broken my heart.
I do believe that Nancy loved this boy. With all that a Mother can. She certainly devoted much of her life towards taking care of him.
Personally, I think that Adam was on a Mission. A really dark and horrible mission.
NoOne is to Blame for his Mission, except Adam Lanza.
I greive for his Mother.
I am a little pissed off that he blew his brains out.
What could we learn.
Adam Lanza will make history. There is no other way to describe him. Except for, anyone's Worst nightmare.
I do blame Nancy.

True. Like we may never know the truth about Gingerbread dad. What I was trying to say, in the great scheme of things, these little things don't matter and should never be public. JMO

There was a great article in my people magazine today with a tribute to the victims. I only wish they had more information to give. There was an interview with the mother of 6 year old Jesse Lewis. She apparently shared custody with Jesse's father. The last time she saw him was Thursday morning when his father picked him up. He wrote "I love you" in the frost on her car and she snapped a picture of him with it.

There is also an article about one of the surviving children who ran, although this isn't the exact story in the magazine, I found a similar article here

ITA. I might have run myself, simply as a reflex action. I hope his family and everyone else can celebrate the fact he is still alive. Not everyone is, or should be, a Rambo type hero. We can't be, we just can't.

Yes, it sounds like she had to sell this house. So she was going to move and take AL with her so he could go to school.

I respectfully disagree. In the divorce, her husband gave her the mortgage note and the equity on their expensive house. He wanted his name off the mortgage because he didn't own the house anymore (he wasn't going to be responsible for the mortgage payments). All Nancy had to do was refinance (for a lower rate and save a lot of money) and put the home only in her name. She did not have to move. He paid her close to $300,000/year.

For the most part the MSM is trying to erase his name. And to be honest I am not sure how I totally feel about this. But in this case, begrudgingly, I agree. Later, I may feel differently , but as of now, if the facts lay out like they look to.... I would hate for this man's name to be said anywhere, other then the fact that he love his children/child.

As few as a handful of raisins or grapes can make a dog ill; however, of the ten cases reported to the ASPCA Animal Poison Control Center (APCC), each dog ingested between nine ounces and two pounds of grapes or raisins

If your dog has ingested large quantities of raisins or grapes, (s)he will immediately begin to vomit repeatedly, and will become extremely hyperactive and jittery. After about 24 hours, the dog will become lethargic and depressed. (S)he may experience abdominal pain and may stop urinating, drinking, and/or eating. (S)he will also become dehydrated. Both his/her vomit and feces will contain partially digested raisins or grapes. His/her breathing may become irregular, and (s)he will also become hypercalcemic (high calcium concentrations) and hyperphosphosphatemic

hope this helps, and he/she is ok!!

Thanks so much. I've been looking up raisins in dogs and didn't see this information. Mickey is fine so far. He is sleeping next to me, which is his usual. When I called him into the room he came wagging his tail. I will be watching him closely. Funny that he might not have eaten a raisin at all, no way to know for sure, but makes me a nervous wreck to know that the cookie I left on the table could be fatal to him.

ITA. To me he did the smart thing. Hearing the firepower that was being used in the school, it would have been foolhardy to run towards it.

The 20 children who died were just too beautiful to remain on this earth. Thankfully nothing can ever hurt them again!

You are SO right!! Noone can hurt them anymore. It is hard to believe that there is so much evil in this world.

(I know your puppy will be just fine) --and i never knew raisins would hurt a puppy :(
