!!!
all of us who knew we should be wearing masks all along
Exactly.
We are in the high risk group so my hubby, and I have been wearing them when it's been absolutely necessary for us to go out in public.
We were lucky because my hubby already had three cases of N95 masks in his shop for his own business needs. We use them sparingly. He had also purchased hundreds of gloves never knowing they would be needed now.
Since I have been sick, and trying to recover from my recent hospital stay he is the one who goes if it's necessary and he wears both in public making sure he takes them off outside throwing them in our outside trashcan then he immediately uses hand sanitizer. Once inside he immediately goes to wash his face, and hands again.
We are trying very hard to take every precaution we possibly can. Our children are doing the same. They buy us needed items then place them outside on our patio table knowing they must socially distance themselves from us, although it's been extremely hard on them keeping their distance. They are in constant contact with us by Skype, texts, and many phone calls.
Once we get the items we thoroughly clean each item. They are doing the same within their own family homes.
I wish everyone would do the same.
Its those who do not that will continue to spread the virus.
My heart breaks for all of the healthcare and first responder heroes on the frontline who are contracting the virus.
I am so proud of the healthcare workers from Georgia. Many have flown to NYC to help those there in need. I hope others will do the same when other states or cities are also in great need of healthcare workers.
