I don't think anyone is going to bother using this forum if we have to visit 57 different threads to check on our friends. I certainly won't.
I posted on this several times and posts just disappeared. I guess maybe they were moved somewhere?Cuomo’s Brother Says He Has COVID-19 as NY Cases Near 80k, 1,550 Dead
I may have missed this somewhere on the thread??
Maybe it should be clarified as to what we are supposed to be posting on this main thread. I am very confused why posts are disappearing.Totally agree!!!
Some state and national post are removed and others aren't from this thread.
I'm starting to feel my post are unwelcome. So sorry if I have offended anyone. I'll look for another place to camp out.

Yes. We are all being segregated. I hope the awesome Mods re-consider or let us vote on the issue? With all due respect.
Well, that's the thing. You are not really in quarantine if you still go out to grocery stores.

Other than feeling anxiety and stress, I am doing good. Just not hungry at all. I can wear rings that I couldn't for the past several years. I have been living in pajamas for weeks. So I haven't tried on real pants yet. Lol
If people go out to stores, they need to put on their PPE (gloves, masks) and I don't think a lot of people are doing that. All the store clerks should be wearing PPE too, they are exposed to a lot of people each day. They should be counted as first respondents, as far as I am concerned.Indeed. In spite of all their safety efforts, the grocery store, the post office and the bank are our local high risk spots.
Exactly.
We are in the high risk group so my hubby, and I have been wearing them when it's been absolutely necessary for us to go out in public.
We were lucky because my hubby already had three cases of N95 masks in his shop for his own business needs. We use them sparingly. He had also purchased hundreds of gloves never knowing they would be needed now.
Since I have been sick, and trying to recover from my recent hospital stay he is the one who goes if it's necessary and he wears both in public making sure he takes them off outside throwing them in our outside trashcan then he immediately uses hand sanitizer. Once inside he immediately goes to wash his face, and hands again.
We are trying very hard to take every precaution we possibly can. Our children are doing the same. They buy us needed items then place them outside on our patio table knowing they must socially distance themselves from us, although it's been extremely hard on them keeping their distance. They are in constant contact with us by Skype, texts, and many phone calls.
Once we get the items we thoroughly clean each item. They are doing the same within their own family homes.
I wish everyone would do the same.
Its those who do not that will continue to spread the virus.
My heart breaks for all of the healthcare and first responder heroes on the frontline who are contracting the virus.
I am so proud of the healthcare workers from Georgia. Many have flown to NYC to help those there in need. I hope others will do the same when other states or cities are also in great need of healthcare workers.

Can you give a little info about the counties around you? I just would like to know about Sonoma more specifically.... do you see relatively low numbers so far in your surrounding counties???@nhmemorymaker I am in Humboldt county
Totally agree!!!

I do too. New yorkers have been through a lot... With 911 we had such heavy hearts and would do whatever we could to help, honor and send love to New Yorkers. Obviously...this is so different because a contagion.. but for Pete's sake we need compassion for ALL Americans... This will continue to be a rolling problem for a good while... I feel "guilty" being in the most precarious group, age wise, and in Florida, which has been pretty poorly managed imo... my "younger self" would have jumped to do whatever I could... I hope more folks do help... and I hope they get the supplies...Exactly.

just a little ha ha ... Someone was complaining on our local Facebook page, about too many "dangerous" seniors walking around their neighborhoods (because all of parks and beaches are closed. !!)DH and I have been taking daily walks through our neighborhood. When we see someone walking towards us, we veer away from them, keeping the requisite 6-foot distance.
I refuse to stay cooped up in my house because of this thing.
JMVHO.

Ok TY of course, that's what I thought.....Hilarious! I thought the same thing when driving into Houston once for hurricane disaster duty and was lost. It is pronounced FOO-QUAY. (Long A)
