Rutland police officer John D. Songy is on a ventilator and in critical condition at St. Vincent Hospital after his body rejected coronavirus medication, remdesivir.
“It is with a heavy heart that I am posting that John is now in critical condition because of all the struggling he has done and all the medications he has received. He has now entered organ failure,” said Joanne. “The care team states there is nothing that could have been done differently.”
Castle Rock restaurant reopens in defiance of statewide public health order
Colorado
A Castle Rock restaurant saw big crowds Sunday when it fully reopened for Mother’s Day in open defiance of the statewide public health order that limits restaurants to takeout and delivery services.
Customers packed C&C Coffee and Kitchen on Trail Boss Drive on Sunday, filling the restaurant’s tables, its patio and forming a line out the door for dine-in service.
“It was unbelievable to me,” said Nick Whitehill, who’d ordered food for what he thought would be curbside pickup Sunday.
Whitehill said he was surprised to see the large crowd when he arrived. Wearing a mask, he went inside to try to pick up his order, which he’d already paid for, but left right away, without his food, after realizing that none of the staff were wearing masks and no one inside was practicing social distancing, he said.

Can Pets Get or Spread COVID-19?
Well, it was my dream to go. I was prepared to spend serious money, if necessary, to do it. But I’m going to have to skip this. Hopefully they will do it again at some point after it’s no longer deadly to attend.Field of Dreams (Iowa) MLB game news: No postponement announced for MLB game at Field Of Dreams

No words. Paying a price.I don't understand why people are flocking to hair stylists and nail salons. My Facebook page is filled with my friends who can't wait to go to the gym next week.
Don't even get me started about people who are planning vacations as soon as Disney opens up, or they can go on a cruise.
Has being on this thread made me insane? Or is everyone else crazy? I don't know. And that is even more crazy.

Provided the chronic shortage of PPE has abated. What about face shields or goggles? Does the same rule of thumb apply to those?

"Among the findings of their research paper, which the team plans to submit to a major journal: If 80% of a closed population were to don a mask, COVID-19 infection rates would statistically drop to approximately one twelfth the number of infections—compared to a live-virus population in which no one wore masks."

SlipstreamsIf people are outside moving by walking or bicycling is it necessary to wear a mask?
I think it's happening in many places, and I doubt the patrons are elderly, meaning younger people either reject the idea they could get the virus or be a carrier or just don't care. I vote for the latter.Where is this happening?
Out for a trail walk yesterday. A cyclist passed me, and I could smell her soap? deodorant? If she had the virus, it was too late.
