Masks you keep on but eat or drink through?!
All the experts stress not to touch the outside of your mask, to think of it as potentially having picked up the virus on the outside front.
While inserting a straw through the hole in the mask, the straw would touch the “contaminated” part. And then you’d be putting the now contaminated straw straight into your mouth.
Umm, no.

The rightly designed mask would be single use and yes, that's possible. Put the straw through the hole after sanitizing your hands. Then put on the mask and use the straw.
In any case, the amount of virions transferred from the outside of a multiple use mask would be small unless you were constantly in an environment with high viral load.
I think it bears repeating that the main method of transmission is people breathing, talking, singing, etc. While we should be mindful of touching our faces after touching something that could have virions, each subsequent touch has less virions.
If.a person used sanitizer/soap and water on their hands, put on a fresh mask to use the straw, then put the straw through, there would be no extra virions on the straw - it will have gone through a sterile mask, and unless the person doing this was breathing out virions, all would be well.
It just takes a lot of getting used to. Personally, I could not care less whether I go out and drink at a bar or restaurant. And, almost everyone I know is in the same boat with me. We're staying home. We're having a lovely time doing wine tastings, preparing great meals, etc., for ourselves and for people in our "bubble" (although we do not have anyone coming into the house).
The mask linked to, in your post, is pretty cool, as it allows people who are hard of hearing to see the lips move - but that's also key in learning. Subtle concepts cannot be taught with a mask on, the nuances of our expressions are lost. The lever opening the mask shouldn't be touched, I suppose, without sanitizing the hands - but if a person is so determined to go out and drink soda/tea/cocktails/whatever, then I think that mask is a good idea.
