We are gonna get way afield here, but these tax protesters drive on the roads, enjoy the US military protecting them from attack, drink the healthy water, breath the healthy air, call the police when something goes wrong, expect the roads to be plowed, and electricity to be kept on... hey, I hate taxes as much as the next guy, but Snipes and all these folks who think they can invent some imperfection in the federal law or Constitution that somehow keeps you from payin' your fair share... well, good luck with that, but you get ZERO support from this taxpaying armed services veteran.

Now, in my opinion, there is enough going on in this case to blow the whole state of Florida out of the water, corruption and all. But, I think a lot will be swept under the rug, ya know, good ole boy network and all, and how many fingers are in how many pies?

This case stinks to high heaven, all the way around and I think, if the truth be told, anything that seems to be too good to be true probably is. I also think there is so much corruption, in so many places, this case won't break the tentacles, although it could.

Alright!!!

After a WONDERFUL financial lesson from my husband!!! Here is what I got:

World Co is a 2nd tier lending company. This is not meant disparchingly it is only a term. When you drive by a used Auto Lot and it says "no money down" "Bad Credit" - the owners of the lots usually set up their own financial company to finance these people at higher interest rates. They expect people not to pay and in turn they fee them. When they dont pay at all this is when we are seeing the actul judgements in the clerks office.

NOW, I am starting to understand these maritime documents. If the Billings wanted to become sovereign to avoid paying taxes, they are going to connect themselves to intercoastal waters - where we are tax/duty free - whatever you call it!!

My husband sat here and explained all the financial stuff, maybe I can remember the rest of it shortly!!

Still not sure why they would be murdered over this unless people felt loan sharked at high rates in the auto -

Also, I know it was mentioned that Byrd at one time owned strip clubs. This by way does not make him a bad person in the slightest. Just a business man. But people typical in Cash businesses do not like the IRS or paying taxes!!! If this is the case of his past I WOULD gamble on that fact that he is still involved in some type of cash and carrys, which makes me suspect this man at a BOATLOAD of money in his VERY secure home. This in no way makes him a "bad" person - at the tax rate these days, wish we could all be sooo lucky ha, a little humor for the evening. So, the sovereinty thing makes complete sense and it makes complete sense if anyone that knew him or did business with him, would know he has a stash of cash.

I Would Check Out The Sovereign Americans Who Assisted The Billings. There Is Paper Work To File That Is Not Easily Found To Give Up Your American Citizenship Rights. If They Had A Passport, SS Card, Etc., It Would All Have To Be Returned.

All this information about Sovereign Americans, blah, blah,......actually fits right along with all the leins, etc., court papers, etc. that were being filed by all the different players in the case, including the billings'......I don't deny that they were truly caring and compassionate people,..maybe just go mixed up in some bad things......???????

This may be slightly off-topic (as in, I don't have any good info to give as others have been able to), but I just had to add my two cents. This case has disturbed me like no other. So tragic, so senseless, so WEIRD. I live in the Fla Panhandle as well and told my husband how much this upsets me. It makes me feel like just b/c we may have a couple of nice cars in the drive way, a group of deranged thugs can invade our home and kill us for a few bucks? What can we do to protect ourselves from something like this? They had a high-tech security system and it didn't do anything. What can we do?

I keep reading about how these thugs were "day laborers" and people who worked on the landscaping...we have literally a dozen or so trucks that drive through the neighborhood handing out flyers and looking for work each week. How would we be to know if some of these guys aren't really just casing the neighborhood or looking for the next target? It just upsets me so...

Sadder than anything, there are a dozen disabled children with no parents tonight. This whole thing just shocks and disturbs me.

Thats the 50 MILLION DOLLAR Question ,Could it be possible that they convinced others to do this then somehow where able to wipe them out money wise? WoW I know business can be cut throat but this is nutz.

I read several court records. Many are civil cases. Several involved loans with GMAC. I think that this is a case where he bought a car and did not pay his loan. Also, he was born in 1937.....so he is around 71-72 years of age.

Another note: Stallworth has refused extradition to Florida. He is still in Alabama.....Wonder why? Thoughts on this?

Alright, I just asked my husband about this "sovereign" -- This can be a way for people to avoid paying usa taxes. Though, this is difficult the Amish and the Indians are the ones who typically get away with it. And corporately, churchs. He said people try to file suits against the gov for using their SS cards and other information illegally - he said this typically does not work. But there are several different ways to attempt this.

At this point, I think anything is possible and should be explored. But even if the Billings were going to do this, why were their be a motive to murder them over it??? Thoughts???

Or maybe they thought sovereign immunity prevents the affixing of maritime liens on themselves? see what googling that gets you

Apparently, it is also common practice of "Patriot Sovereign" citizens (or whatever they call themselves...) to file a LIEN against someone's property while they are in foreclosure.

This attempts to "TIE UP" the Deed on the house and stop the foreclosure.

That's what I'm thinking. Not to rehash the "i know but can't tell you/tell us or don't bring it up" section from earlier about how they made their money, but it sounds like someone over on the left got burned by the Billings previously and someone in the middle knew someone on the right who could/would do something about it.

Yes -- I don't know if the military will be involved or not, but by not agreeing to extradition, it forces the FL cops/attys to go to court and pull him out. Basically a stall on his part.

I also wanted to point out about my "tier" comment from before. Usually, big banks don't lend money out as freely on older used cars. Therefore, the use of the finance company mr. billings set up for himself. The judgements world co has made against people coincide with this.

Welcome to WS's P'colaGuy!!! That is a valid theory, but I don't get how the Real Estate agent, and the 'day laborers' got involved, and trained for a month to carry out this movie-style plot. Why not just off Mr. Billings in a drive-by??? I think it is because there was SOMETHING inside the Billings home that was wanted REAL bad by someone. I would give anything to know what was in that safe. I bet it would surprise us all....

I read that link and think that's their assumption. If things are followed to a "T" on this Sovereign American thing and it DOES work, I'd guess there was at least -1- misstep by the person in the story because it states...

...It is extremely unusual for a person to file a lien against themselves.

Without a clear title, the service of the writ of restitution could have been delayed. As a delaying tactic, the phoney lien was unsuccessful, ..."

Meaning that person TRIED to put a lien against herself to mess with the eviction / foreclosure of the house but it didn't work (for whatever reason(s))
