I wonder how heavy the safe was??? Did they think it would take that many of them to carry it out?? Did they expect to find something besides the safe that wasn't there? Seven people - all involved in something centered around greed; a recipe for failure and disaster if there ever was one.

Okay..here is something for you guys....

You just said the attorney's former wife was in the Krewe de Ya ya's. In the picture from Jr's Myspace where he shows his "daughter" and says "at least they feed her" THAT picture is taken at a Krewe de Ya Ya tennis tournament in Pensacola! Go back and look at that sign.

Can you direct me to the post that said his former wife was in the Krewe de Ya Yas? I read one that mentioned she was involved with Mardi Gras locally, but didn't see a specific Krewe mentioned.

I've never heard of the Krewe of Ya Yas...

I mentioned one - who looks exactly like the 2nd person in the 1st "persons of interest" video. He happens to be the ex-husband of Lpatricks wife. He's got a rap sheet that includes a pot bust with Lpatrick, then a bust for trafficking in cocaine the very next month. Heck, He could have been the one who was supposed to disarm the security - and went along with setting Lpatrick up (to get even for stealing his wife and setting him up to get busted for trafficking. . .

IOW - There's so much questionable activity going on here. . . It looks like both Lpatrick and BFausti made deals back in 2002.

What connection does he have to the Billings prior to the murder? I must have missed this.

Just from what reading I have done/found, this case makes not sense. All these people to murder 2 good people for a safe? Like it was some kind of "James Bond" thing? No pun intended, but why the overkill plan? I think these two murdered people were heart full and it shows regarding the children they took into their home and hearts.

Something is not right. I have no doubt the involvment of the "hord", but just for a safe? It doesn't make any sense. I wonder if any one of these people had some removed involvement with this couple.

<Shaking head in confusion and bewilderment>

I would like to see the details for the case that paid Gonzalez Jr 150,000 for his "intelligence" services and granted him immunity.

As I just mentioned in a previous post - there are some indiactors in Lpatricks pot bust from 2002 that he might have gone the informant route:

He changed his name in the middle of the case, they decided not to pursue almost everything (50.00 fine?)

http://www.escambiaclerk.com/xml/xml.asp?ucase_id=23678403

And then we have Lpatrick claiming to go off to Costa Rica. . .

Wow, for someone who you would think would want to keep as low of a profile as possible, our Pamela sure puts her name out there in every possible way.

It appears she is a plaintiff in a lawsuit filed by some Pensacola Beach residents against the tax assesor of Escambia County.....she is Pamela Long in this lawsuit. The basic idea of the lawsuit is that residents don't own the land they reside on, it is simply leased from the SRIA for a term of 100 years (or 1 day less specifically), therefore they are leasees and not landowners subject to property taxes. I'm sure there will be plenty of questions about how this works and I won't attempt to explain it. If you follow the link below, it will give you a better idea of the theory behind the lawsuit and how real property ownership interests are handled on Santa Rosa Island.

http://www.pbeachtaxsuit.com/

Even though it may seem connected (and could be) to the other issues involving avoidance of paying taxes, I actually don't think this lawsuit is at all related to the other discussions about taxes. The theory behind the suit is actually a good one, in my opinion, and at least worth a shot for the plaintiffs. I think our sweet Pamela was probably likely to sign up for anything, lawsuit or whatever, that may either give her $$ or keep her from having to pay out $$$......just my opinion.

That may or may not be Pamela Laverne Long Wiggins (who is confirmed associated with the case). The biggest problem right now is trying to figure out which Pamela Long is which. There is another that lives in Gulf Breeze, also. Her name is Pamela MARIE Long, and they both have blonde hair. PMarie is a real estate agent and owns PMG, whereas according to her interview on WEAR TV tonight, PLavern is NOT a real estate agent. PMaire calls PLaverne a Property Manager.

That lawsuit is nothing new and boils down to the way the codes/laws were written and the people on the beach don't pay property taxes, but the County/SRIA wants them to.

I'd call this lawsuit non-vital, imo, to how it relates to the murders.

Here is her obit- she was not in the yaya's , she was active in several mardi garas crews, the photo that I was refering to was on LPJ'S myspace, I ment to imply that most of the crews are very familair with ecother not that she was in the yaya's- am I making any sense?
She sounds like she was a nice lady.
MCCLEARY

Glenda Faye Mccleary

December 18, 1946 January 25, 2006

Glenda Faye McCleary went to be with her daddy, Joseph O’Neal Turberville and her Lord on Wednesday, January 25, 2006. She made sure she went on her own terms, as she also did in life. She, being a Sister of the Beach, was not going to share her time with our beloved and her friend, Harry Gowens.

She was a beach person with all of her heart and soul. She was a member of the Krewe of Wrecks. She was a charter member of the Glorious Grandmothers and Woolyboogers. She was also a member of the Pensacola Beach Church, which she reaffirmed her faith to Jesus as her Savior and Lord.

Glenda was the first queen of the Krewe of Woolyboogers, which she was very proud of. That was because to be a Woolybooger you were required to do nothing. Since she did the least, she because the first queen.

She was the beloved wife, friend, confidant and ruler of her devoted husband, Barry W. McCleary, Esq.; and the sergeant mother of the boys at the Pensacola Beach Volunteer Fire Department from 1980 until they became Escambia County Fire Rescue. All of the boys were always welcome at her house and advice always came free. She was very proud when her only son, Paul W. McCleary, became one of the first career fire fighters with Escambia County Fire Rescue, fulfilling a lifelong dream.

She is survived by her beloved and devoted husband, Barry W. McCleary Esq.; her son, Paul W. McCleary and his wife Kim McCleary; her grandchildren, Kasey, Savannah and Lauren McCleary; her mother, Alma Turberville of Pensacola; her brother, Douglas Turberville and his wife Bonnie, and their children, Douglas and wife Belinda Turberville, Mark and wife Rebekah Turberville and Jason and wife Amy Turberville; and her brother Joseph Turberville and his wife Linda, and their children, Mike and wife Fran Turberville, Dee Ann and husband Rex Bryant, and Sandy Turberville.

Rose Lawn Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Excuse me, I thought the post I was answering was asking for more possible motive "connections" for the perps. Since you asked, I believe that we'll find a double edged motive that may never even be acknowledged - simply because you can't prosecute the deceased.

I think there's a very good possibilty that Lpatrick was set up because he had become a "loose cannon" and the Billings were targeted by a crime syndicate. Maybe the Billings had nothing to do with crime and the MS-13 syndicated wanted Purshu and Worldco out of the game for some reason, or maybe they just wanted their gold.

I agree with the poster (Magic????) who said this could very well become a scandle if the truth is ever revealled.

Is this weird?

Suppose this group of 6 (excluding Gonzalez Jr) were recruited under the notion of this was an "exercise training" for these wealthy homeowners (Billing's) who had contracted Gonzalez Jr. under his supposed UDT type of protection?

Could they have been duped by Gonzalez Jr. / Wiggins?

If Gonzalez had just received 150,000 from the state last year, he couldn't have been hurting for money too bad.

I think there was something in that safe that was wanted really bad, and that it was imperative that the Billing's were to be "erased".

I have been looking in the yellow pages trying to find this attorney B. W. M.
Could some other local perhaps look in a P'cola phone books and see if they can find him? There may be a picture posted. I had no luck.

Now. I have been reading all of the court records.

Some I found interesting:

Did they get a divorce and remarry? Her obit said he was her husband.

Person he was married to in 1975...mother of two of his children:

She didn't say she was in the Krewe of Ya Ya's. She said she was in a Mardi Gras Krewe similar to the Ya Ya's. I had misread her statement. Sorry.

Documents Obtained By CBS News Shed Light On Lead Suspect's Rap Sheet

CBS News has exclusively obtained the confidential deposition of Leonard Patrick Gonzalez in an unrelated case in Pensacola, Florida. Gonzalez was subpoenaed by the State Attorney’s office and granted blanket immunity for his involvement in that case.

During the October 30, 2008 deposition, Gonzalez, Jr. describes how his criminal past started when he was only 17 years old and violated his probation. He credits his criminal history for preparing him for the job he held at the time, which he described as "criminal counter-measures."
"Had I not committed those crimes and suffered and paid the consequences, I wouldn’t be able to do the job that I do now," Gonzalez told James Jenkins, the criminal defense attorney who was taking his deposition. Gonzalez, Jr. received $150,000 for providing "intelligence" services from January through April of 2008, according to Jenkins.

During the deposition Gonzalez characterized himself this way:
-- I had a colorful background and if you want to call it a misspent youth. I worked as a body guard for several people in the area and I did do some criminal countermeasures work.
-- I understand the criminal thought processes. I can help people to decide what’s the best measure they should take to protect themselves and their families and businesses.
-- I was interested in starting a company, UDT Institute. It stands for Ultimate Defensive Tactics Institute, which would provide criminal countermeasures training to wealthy individuals.
In the deposition, he also described himself as an advocate for victimized children. And interestingly said at one point, "I couldn’t commit a crime."

Would love to know what "other case" he got blanket immunity in, and who paid him the $150,000.

I think that if we are to be moderated on the claims and information about the Billings that might be perceived in a bad light, then the people that are trying to perceive them in a good light should be moderated as well.

In actuality you have no proof or background documents if there was ever any "weird" or suspicious deals in adopting any of the children, or not. You simply don't know, and are repeating what you have heard. The only way to know that for sure is to examine the adoption papers of the children.

we should separate the emotions from this "investigation" as best we can or we will get dragged down in the argument of if they were good people or not.

So keep to the facts on both sides I say...

I have seen adoption papers on 5 of these children thank you very much. The ones I've taught.

I've known these people since they first started adopting these children. I think I know a whole lot more about how they were adopted than you.

I won't argue with you on whether they were good people. I KNOW they were. I simplyresponded to the ridiculous statement that these children were taken from anyone. Melanie still kept in contact with most of the bio parents of these children.

You know the sheriff has said many times over that the connections are within the group of suspects. He has said over and over that the investigation does not involve the family. Why do you insist on trying to drag their name in the mud?

You talk of leaving emotions out of things, tell ya what you do try that when two people you loved dearly are so brutally murdered. I think I've done a pretty good job of not saying a whole lot about the baseless accusations here so far.
