Why can't people just donate in Caylee's name? Or have a private memorial at their own house? Why do they feel the need to shove it in the Anthony family's face? Only Casey has been indicted for the murder...not the rest of the family. You may not like them or the way they have handled things...but I find it very cruel to suggest their feelings should not be considered right now. imo

it is about
C A Y L E E .........not about the a's.

the world has seen how the a family is......imo....'nuff said.

and yes, my family has walked a mile in the same type shoes as the a's.
it's been sickening to watch.
that is my opinion.

TxRose, how is it shoving it in the A's face when the memorial site is on a dead end street that the A's do not HAVE to drive by?

No kidding!

And how 'bout we think of Caylee and not the Anthonys? Novel idea for the Anthonys, I bet...Honestly, I really don't care how they are right now. Sorry if that's cold but that's how I'm feeling right now...

This is just such a wonderful idea -- I'm going to start doing exactly the same thing. Thank you for your generous heart, SWAG, and for thinking of this!
I can't take credit for this. Last night another poster (sorry I can't remember who or what thread) suggested donating a toy to Toys for Tots and I thought that was a wonderful idea. So, of course, it came to me this afternoon as I was going into Publix and saw the Salvation Army that it was something I needed to do.

drip~drop maybe the more that we post the notion, someone might read it and initiate something along these lines...We can hope. :blowkiss:

maybe it will happen.
for caylee.
:blowkiss:
not everything is about the a's.
imo

The Anthonys STILL want to control all of this. I honestly don't believe it is about Caylee at all anymore. I believe they grieved a long time ago, right after Caylee died.

The probably resent the money spent on the memorials was not collected by them to live on.

And you know what...they just lost their granddaughter. I doubt seriously they care about how the public feels right now.

First, NO you are not dumb. ITA

Second, since I'm not there - today when I went shopping I went to the Savlation Army bellringer, as I was putting the money in the kettle the bellringer thanked me and I told her "I'm doing this in memory of Caylee Anthony". The lady nodded her head and thanked me again. I plan on doing this every time I go out until Christmas.

Plus, if I was any closer I do have a temporary canopy that I would definitely go put up over that memorial (and I don't care if I get it back) - but wait, the A's have one of those - they used it at the Publix parking lot. Wow - I just can't believe how uncaring and amoral these people are.

I can see trouble brewing if someone goes out there tomorrow and tries to remove it. Such a shame when the main reason it's there is to honor and remember that sweet little angel. I hope the property owner or LE steps in before it gets ugly.

I can believe how uncaring they are....they've made a point of showing people how uncaring they can be for quite a while now.

CA just wants to stir the pot a little bit more....and removing this memorial (especially if it's done tomorrow) is really, really gonna pi$$ a whole lotta people off.

I think we are getting off topic anyway. Aren't we supposed to be discussing the search warrant and the return to the A's house today?
Any new word on that?

Evidently they do as their new atty felt the need to make this statement about removing the memorial.

One would think they should be more focused on planning a beautiful service and reverent funeral for such a sweet, little angel (public or private - that IS their decision).

ITA! Wouldn't it be wonderful if the owner of this Private Property that the crime scene is on refused to allow the removal of the memorial? At least for a while. That would be just perfect! It IS on his property, after all, so he could prevent the A's from coming there and destroying the memorial. Wish I knew who he/she was!

It appears they have it posted NO TRESPASSING .......wonder if that means the defense team too?

Oh, I forgot they have decided not to go there now. After all that whining and now they don't want to take advantage of their opportunity?

Figures.

Yes, thanks TxRose. I want to vote for the paver found at the remains site theory. Anyone else?

Just some simple questions:

Why aren't the A's humbled and comforted by the outpouring of love for Caylee?

Why aren't the A's grateful that Caylee was so loved by so many?

Why aren't the A's appreciative of everyone's efforts to find their missing granddaughter?

Why don't the A's show common courtesy and use the simple "Please and Thank You's" most of us were taught when we were two?

I went Christmas shopping with my son and his gf a few nights ago and each one of us bought a child's toys and donated it to Toys for Tots in memory of Caylee but I still wish that I was able to physically go to a memorial site and openly honor the life of this precious little girl.

NO.......they lost their granddaughter OVER 6 MONTHS AGO.........they have known for a long time in my opinion and they are just doing their regular thing, tying to control everything.

That is NOT their property and they have no rights at all. For then to even suggest this is uncouth and uncaring about others pain just like they didn't care about Caylee's pain and remove her from the sociopath.

sorry...I was agreeing with you, I like the idea of taking it down eventually and having the firm preserve the written notes and select items. but they should leave it up for a short while (weather permitting) to show their gratitude to the people who came to pay their respects.

Memorials are very personal and mean very different things to different families. That said, as someone else noted, the announcement to remove little Caylee's memorial could have been handled with more finesse and I think most people would be more understanding. Certainly items that other LIVE children would get some use out of would be a wonderful tribute to Caylee and you would want to distribute them before they became weathered. I think it is awesome that there are firms out there that will take the written material and put them in a album or whatever for the family. MOST families would be most grateful, even if it is a paid service.
Most large memorials, OKC bombing, 9/11 sweep the memorial sights once or month or so and KEEP everything (at least OKC does). Materials put up by the families stay if the family requests it, otherwise every thing is archived in the basement of the Museum. Letters, t-shirts, wreaths, etc. etc. It is really a place of peace to walk through the archives. It has been 13 years and people still put up new items on the preserved fence. As well, I think we all drive past roadside memorials that remain for a long time. Some communities, it is officially again the law, as it requires tons of extra work for maintance folks, but for the most part that is overlooked and the mowers will take care to keep it in place.
I hope that there is someplace that can be designated to Caylees memory that is off limits to the Anthony family. Like it or not, this little one has become a part of America's family and while we don't have a 'right' to pay our respects, as strangers, it certainly would go a long way to start some healing for all of us. Perhaps the best way would be to contribute to your favorite child related non-profit in the name of Caylee...

In my opinion..........Because they are EVIL.........the good thing about that is the stronger evil will destroy the weaker evil before it is all over.

Someone on one of the threads pointed to a Greta video in the A's backyard and it really looked to me like a round paver was missing from in front of the little playhouse. So it could be. I think they found some things like clothes, linens, and personal items there that will tie back to the house or to Caylee.

Today's search warrant came after the toxicology report came back right? I think it was said on Geraldo that the report was in. They also said that LE looked at the medicine cabinet. Perhaps something was indeed found by the FBI that would indicate she was drugged?
