My suspicion in that the JD friends were at the NCPD station for awhile working on the report so say 5-6 pm and report was finished and filed by 7 pm as a guess. I just wonder if as part of filling out the report that someone from NCPD asked the friends about marriage situation and learned that the parties were separated. Could this question have generated a call to FD in Farmington that then prompted him to take the ride with MT down Albany? It might have made some sense during this early period that NCPD figured a quick call to FD might make some sense to see if he had any info or if JD was with him in Farmington for whatever reason.

So the NCPD statement said that friends reported her missing at 6:59pm on 5/24 after she had not been seen or heard from for approximately 10 hours. That would put her last contact at around 9am.
Given the ongoing circumstances with FD, the restraining orders, court ordered supervised visits with the children, the NCPD would very quickly put 2+2 together talking to her friends and family. They aren’t all that busy in NCPD and so I’m sure they got right on it. After all, as their police chief said, “domestic violence is NCs violent crime”. One of the first questions in a case like this is, is there anyone who would stand to benefit from her disappearance? A resounding yes to that one of course.

I’m also thinking that FD was keeping close tabs on media, Facebook, etc that afternoon/evening in Farmington to see if/what was being reported about JD. Searching the NC news sites and FB of mutual friends, etc I’m sure he would have been able to see pretty quickly once the silver alert went out. Seeing the searchers at Waveny on Saturday morning in the news probably gave him just the reassurance that he needed that his plan was on track. Perhaps that’s why he let his guard down and gave them his phone.

I don’t think anything prompted him to suddenly go over to Albany Ave on Friday night, it was all part of the plan. If things had gone his way he’d have his kids on Saturday and Sunday, and he’d have wanted to get rid of the bags by then. We still don’t know the full extent of those bags. I don’t think he’d be saving them up or waiting overnight to get rid of them.

We have no idea what her tasks were with the Company but from blog posts on the FORE website it appears she handled promotion, social media and had some knowledge of computers. Beyond this we know little unfortunately.

If I recall correctly, MT’s Miami Twitter account stopped being active in August 2016. That’s when I imagine she moved to CT to “work” with her boyfriend.
 
Found this basic article for laypeople that don't speak phone geek about how cell phone info can be tracked by LE. I will have to check but I don't think NC has that many cell phone towers (always big fights when new towers are requested and there are parts of town that still don't have great service and some parts of town with no service). I know we have seen this in other cases (there was the case in Phoenix recently where the boyfriend manipulated cell phone location of the GF he was later accused of murdering if I recall) and for some reason I think that it cannot be assumed that personal location and cell phone location can be used in courts/LE for purposes of alibi and proof of location. IDK answer to this question.

Here is a case that the Feds busted wide open in January of this year:

“The US is tying loose ends on an elaborate cellphone crime spree. A Florida judge has sentenced Braulio De la Cruz Vasquez to 65 months in prison after he pleaded guilty to charges he worked with four co-conspirators (who've already pleaded guilty) as part of a ring that would 'clone' phones and use them for international calls. De la Cruz would receive identifying information linked to wireless subscribers' accounts and use that to "reprogram" cellphones he controlled. After that, his partners would send international calls to his home internet connection and route them through the hijacked phones, making the unwitting victims pay for others' calls.”

It’s way out of FuDo’s league the above case but...I still think he could have manipulated one of his iPhones or Mac Pro to clone his main iPhone. But I think LE could definitely be on to that if so. They would be able to track that. And if he used any of the items now in his possession to do so then it all loops neatly back to him for the purposes of future charges. The only reason he’d do so is the same reason he’d buy a burner phone: to disguise his activity.

But if the phone calls NP spoke about as being part of FD’s alibi for the morning of May 24th do exist then it’s critical to find out if he did clone his phone. I just don’t know enough about this stuff. It is way above my pay grade.

In the Karissa Fretwell case in Oregon last month, they were able to use phone location pings to track the murderer (father of her child) from his workplace in the middle of the night down to her apartment 25 miles south and back. He proclaimed he was at work the whole time.
Also similar to this case, they combined phone pings and times with video surveillance evidence showing him leaving work and then returning to work at the time she went missing, carrying a big plastic trash bag (He worked a night shift at a steel mill, where he likely was able to incinerate the trash bag- he had told coworkers of his revenge fantasies). He professed innocence the entire time.

Another similarity? They had just had a custody/child support court hearing and it had gone “very badly” for him- his financial situation had been uncovered and he was ordered by the court to pay her support. He had threatened her with losing custody and she had told friends she was afraid of him.

It took them a month to find the bodies (mother and 4 year old) in the woods, in a place he had gone to hunt, not far from his home. K9 trackers had searched the area once and missed the bodies the first time.

She disappeared a week before JD.

In this case, once they had the phone pings they charged him with murder. (The difference is they were also able to track the mothers phone pings traveling with the murderer father’s pings, placing them together.)

The difference is these were blue collar people, he was married and had fathered her baby on a short fling, and no high society intrigue or antics like NP either. So a shorter cut to the chase and the murder charge.

I also wonder if it could be one of the houses in JD neighborhood on Welles. Are you convinced the house is in Avon? I remember early on I had a picture posting SNAFU and posted the incorrect house on Welles and it was a white colonial if I recall. All these white colonials are starting to B L U R together unfortunately!

Yes I believe you’re correct! It is the sky view house. I brought it up because this article from Stamford advocate says this was their home before.

It's just a matter of time for LE to conclude their 'criminal' investigation into JD's disappearance, IMO, they have literally 'tons' of evidence. But sadly, with the careful pace of the investigation by LE, the primary suspects' refusal to cooperate since Day One, JD's family pleading for anyone with information to just contact LE, the dedicated LE website to find JD, and them plowing through over a thousand tips and over a month of forensic searching and evidence gathering with no press conferences or requests for other assistance or 'leaks' on what they have discovered means they don't expect her to be found alive, but NCPD is building their case against FD in consultation with the Staties, DA, FBI, and many other criminal experts / departments... JD will be found, and justice will prevail / charges will be brought and arrests will be made for JD's murder before the end of the summer. IMO.

Had a very stressful and busy weekend and coming up will only have time to post at night. The last month I had some downtime but that’s all over. Darn...you are so sweet.

Been trying to follow along. As best I can but the last few nights I was dead tired. Fell asleep trying to read and like posts.

I think we are all circling the same ideas and yet...everyone still brings something new and very fascinating to discuss every day even with little to no new information.

One thing I do hope is that if murder charges are filed that the Arrest Warrant is not sealed. If for no other reason than we can see how far off or close to what really happened we are with our ideas and theories.

I am just sick of the Pattis Show. Of course ReDo adores her brother and will always think he’s amazing. Same with her daughters and blah blah blah. The more I read though it appears as though ReDo and JD were still emailing one another until a few months ago. I can only imagine that JD who was sweet and lovely and charming must have thought she has this connection to Rena. And Rena is probably taking everything JD shared with her and shared it with FoDu. I would like to believe I am wrong about his sister and that Rena wasn’t spying on MT for FD. But honestly, you never know.

Yes. That's been reported verbatim previously!!! And posted here some time ago.

Except the March to May thing. As far as I understand per grandma's motion is he remains unable to co verse with them privately or in a different language.

It’s great to have you back!!! I hope ws can help you de stress some .. I hope they charge him and release the arrest warrant too. Then we will have more details to add and fill in the holes or change up our theories into more accurate ones!
When I read her statement it didn’t feel genuine at all. I highly doubt she wrote it herself and I think it wasn’t smart of her to reveal how FD financially helped them so much. It kind of seals the deal for our theory that he wires money overseas to siphon money out of the US.

I vote no on the cloning. It would be far easier to just turn it off and say the battery died and I didn't have my charger with me. MOO
