Mother of son being interviewed on News8.. Her son lives on 5th floor in James Hall and told him to keep texting her and she drove 45 minutes to see her son. She said he texted her that he had multiple guns (ak47, pistol at least) and sword.. she also said something about hostages..

News are saying they are hearing 3rd floor is where the suspect is via talking and 1st floor evacuated... All per social media and news reports talking to people

State police are talking with a man boxed into a dorm room in James Hall at Central Connecticut State University, a source told The Courant.

The man is isolated and there has been no hostile act, the source said.

Been trying to find a picture or diagram of what this dorm is set up like (the room layout).. I know the college's I applied to had virtural tours of the room and layouts on their website so you can have an idea.. But I can't get on their website since the lockdown and couldn't find any.... hmm

Student on 5th floor has been evacuated per his mother on News8 that they interviewed earlier..

Student's roommate on 7th floor has not been evacuated from his texting with roommate..


But no one know what is going for sure

I figured out the closed caption for the fox live link.

Says there will be a presser at 4 pm

One student said he took this guy (his friend) to the Army Surplus store to buy something for a Halloween costume.

That is all they are telling now, said wait for the presser.
