So I just saw this girl on another thread and it's one of those "Woah" moments

Rebecca Ann Crist
Missing since May 3rd, 1988
25 years old

But here's the kicker:
"In 1991 a handyman sent a letter to Crist's family in which he confessed to accidentally killing her and disposing of her body in a landfill"

Although it is like a seven hour drive. :/

This UID has been added to NamUs, UP # 11211. White female, age 40-50, estimated date of death about three years prior to discovery.

Bernadine Paul, Deborah Spickler, and Lisa White have been excluded.

https://identifyus.org/en/cases/11211

I'm surprised that the estimated post mortem interval is only 3 years, I thought it would've been much longer. Sounds like they have no idea who this is, as the ID potential is low. They must have ruled out more people than are listed in Namus by other means.

PATTI ROTHER MELDORE

Last seen July 11, 2009. 48 year old white female.

https://www.findthemissing.org/en/cases/3777/480/

http://www.missingin.org/reg2212/patti_rother_meldore.htm

She is not on Charley Project or Doe Network.

really weird... i am not sure this woman is missing at all...

there is a woman named Patti Rothermel-Dore who was murdered by her husband in 2010. She was 49 when murdered, 48 in 2009 when "Patti Rother Meldore" was LKA at age 48... they both lived in Bridgeport, CT....

is it possible this NAMUS page is from an earlier missing report (maybe she left him for a period of time as they were starting to have marital problems) and Patti returned home at some point later and was then shot the day she started divorce proceedings?

her pic seems to match the missingin.org description:

The area where the remains were found is fairly residential (and the wooded area isn't like a thick forest; it looks like light woods bordering someone's back yard). This area of Vernon isn't that far from 84, but IMO, there are much better spots for dumping a body in CT than here. (Not that I think about that sort of thing...) I'm surprised this woman's body went undiscovered for so long.

So, basically we're looking for a woman in her 40s or 50s who's been missing for about 5 years, right?

So hold up: can this one be the tie to this one? Diane Cusack and Joyvaline Martinez having been the other two. She (Nilsa Arizmendi) fits the profile -- living around Hartford and New Britain. And the person who killed Martinez had the blood of TWO people in his truck (one not identified).

Arizmendi is on the ruleouts list.

They've added some more information to the article. She's white, between 5' and 5'3" tall. Which I think they knew already :p

Also this comment: Many older missing persons reports were taken before DNA technology existed and several have not been updated with DNA profiles, according to Meier.

They compared the bones to an old missing persons case from 1968, so it sounds like we could be looking at an older case. Though they didn't give an estimate for how long they've been there.

Meier declined to comment on other evidence that authorities recovered from the scene and how long the woman’s remains may have been there.

Police also declined to comment on whether there were any signs of a violent death, such as trauma to the skull.

“We are treating the investigation as suspicious,” Meier said. “However, we are not labeling it suspicious because at this time no determination as to the cause and manner of death has been made by the office of the chief medical examiner.”

New Haven police said the human remains found in Vernon last year are not related to the missing person cases of Evelyn Frisco and Lisa Calvo.

Police said the open cases of the two missing women never had forensic or evidentiary ties to the Vernon discovery. “The only similarity was that the women who went missing were about the same age of the person whose remains were discovered,” police said...

“DNA evidence collected from family members of both Lisa Calvo and Evelyn Frisco have been compared with that of the remains. Neither matched,” New Haven police Media Liaison David Hartman said in a press release, who added that the cases remain open.

This woman, who has been missing since 2003, fits very closely to UP11211.

And she has a very similar facial shape too.

I'm not too concerned with the five year discrepancy on the timeframe. PM intervals are difficult to estimate when they have only bones.

Lori Bruski says that this possible match is already on their radar. They are just waiting on biometric data on Monica
