"Haven't had enough of the Casey Anthony murder case?

You can relive it when Lifetime presents an original movie starring actor Rob Lowe as prosecutor Jeff Ashton, the television network announced Thursday.

The working title: Prosecuting Casey Anthony. The movie will be based on Ashton's best-selling book, Imperfect Justice: Prosecuting Casey Anthony."

What inside stories do you want to know? I'm interested in hearing about that opening statement, his working relationship with Cheney Mason, efforts to land Anthony a major interview and what happened to his relationship with Anthony.
And what about that $200,000 that ABC News paid to license photos and video from Anthony of her daughter, Caylee? It would be interesting to see Baez on "20/20,""Good Morning America" and "The View" talking about that issue.
Baez will keep the Anthony case in the headlines. Will his book make the bestseller list that way Jeff Ashton's "Imperfect Justice" did? Will someone turn Baez's book into a movie?
If Rob Lowe can play Ashton in a Lifetime movie, Baez should hope for the movie-star treatment, too. Maybe William Levy of "Dancing With the Stars" will be available.

New JB interview given with juicy info like....

He cited the example of the bikini-salesman line:

"I never sold bikinis. I had a girlfriend who wanted to start up her own business," he said. "People go off and start saying all these kinds of things about me... It just got to the point where it wouldn't go away. People wouldn't stop asking about the case."

(The rest of the picture: Brazilian-Bikini.com Inc. and Bon Bon Bikinis were both incorporated in Florida under Baez's name.)

A judge this morning gave attorneys for Zenaida Gonzalez something they've wanted for a longtime -- permission to get Casey Anthony's secret location.

But that information will remain secret for everyone else.

Gonzalez is suing Anthony for defamation.

Her attorneys returned to court this morning for a hearing as they continue to try to find out where Anthony's currently living.

Jose Baez, the attorney who represented Casey Anthony, has written a tell-all book about the trial – and says his controversial client won't make any money off of it.

"Casey will not financially benefit from this book in any way, shape or form," Baez tells PEOPLE. "This is my story, not hers."

According to Baez, the book will tell how he became involved in the case and will walk the reader through the defense strategy. He promises it will tell the behind-the-scenes story of the trial that riveted the nation in 2011.

The book also will talk about Baez's relationship with Casey and his observations of her family. And it will give details about her release from jail, and why he stopped representing her.

But his goal in writing the book, he said, wasn’t to change the public’s view of Anthony. He said they always had a “very professional” relationship.
Baez said he knew Anthony “would be able to do this probation standing on her head” — a comment that left an interesting image. He described Anthony was “an ideal probationer.”
A caller wanted to know about Baez’s opening statement that George Anthony had sexually abused his daughter. “The jury was free to believe George Anthony or not,” Baez said. “I cross-examined him on the sexual abuse questions. By his reaction, they could believe it or not.”
Baez also told the caller: “We completed our case in a complete and ethical manner.”

from the same article:

"Baez said in the book he tried to put everything out there so readers can draw their own conclusions. He said writing the book had been therapeutic because it allowed him to move beyond talking in sound bites.

But will readers find it therapeutic?"

hmmm.. highly doubt it..

Defense attorney Cheney Mason and former prosecutor Jeff Ashton are going to New York to discuss the Casey Anthony trial.

They will kick off a seminar series called "Trials & Error: Behind the Headlines of America's Most Controversial Cases." Alex Ferrer of "Judge Alex" will take part, too.

I was a guest Friday morning on Geraldo Rivera's WABC radio show.
Rivera revealed that he had been asked to play himself in the Lifetime movie based on former prosecutor Jeff Ashton's book, "Imperfect Justice." But Rivera said he passed.
Production starts May 29 in Winnipeg and will last 20 days.

Original Pictures is preparing to shoot a movie starring Rob Lowe in the coming weeks, and while the local production company is steadfastly secretive about the project, a Directors Guild of Canada website suggests the film will be Imperfect Justice, the story of the unsuccessful 2011 prosecution of Casey Anthony, accused of murdering her two-year-old daughter Caylee in Florida.
The Hollywood Reporter story said the Fox TV telepic would be executive produced by Jean Abounader and Michelle Manning, directed by Peter Werner (who helmed the locally lensed TV movies Vinegar Hill, Killer Instinct: From the Files of Agent Candice DeLong and We Were the Mulvaneys) and written by Alison Cross (Blood and Wine)
