Investigators have been waiting outside Anthony's residence in Florida for several days to serve her with a subpoena in a defamation action filed by a woman named Zenaida Gonzalez.

"Our investigation team had her whereabouts pinned down," says Gonzalez's attorney, Matt Morgan. "Their backs were against the wall, so her attorneys said that they would accept service on her behalf."

WESH-Channel 2 reported Monday night that Anthony defense attorney Cheney Mason had agreed to accept Anthony’s subpoena in the Zenaida Gonzalez defamation case.
WESH anchor Jim Payne explained that Gonzalez attorney John Dill said “that means Anthony will be required to attend her defamation trial early next year or face the possibility of criminal contempt proceedings.”

Co-prosecutor Linda Drane Burdick will be portrayed by Elizabeth Mitchell, who played Dr. Juliet Burke on "Lost."

As for Anthony's parents, Kevin Dunn, of "Transformers" fame, will play George Anthony, while the Sentinel said Cindy Anthony has not yet been cast.

"It was good to get a lot of this off my chest," Baez told 10 News in a one-on-one interview on Wednesday afternoon.
Baez also admitted that he read prosecutor Jeff Ashton's book.
His verdict on the read? He said there was nothing new in the book. Baez claimed with his book there will be new details no one has ever heard before, including secret evidence that never made it into the trial.
"Presumed Guilty" is expected to be released this summer, possibly on Casey's acquittal date, July 5.
Baez is hoping it will vindicate jurors who were attacked after the verdict, he said.

It’s like clockwork. Someone talks about a Casey Anthony project, and the Anthony team comes back with a story about her.
We learned a lot about the casting for the Lifetime movie “Prosecuting Casey Anthony” on Tuesday. On Wednesday, we were getting Casey stories from People and WOFL-Channel 35.
Anthony attorney Cheney Mason tells WOFL that his client ”has a lot to say” about her story, but she is isolated as she serves probation somewhere in Florida.
Mason said that Anthony is “almost a grandchild” to him and she lives “on the gifts of the [legal] team and close friends.” She has limited dealings with others, but Mason said he talks to her frequently.

"We were finally able to successfully serve a subpoena on Thursday to Casey Anthony's lawyers, ordering her to appear at the civil trial which is scheduled to begin in January 2013,” Dill said.
“We had been trying for months to serve her, and we were finally able to get it done this week, after a lot of legal wrangling because Casey wouldn't accept the subpoena at the location she has been hiding out in. Our client is thrilled that Ms. Anthony has now been formally served and it's a successful start in the proceedings.”
A fund has been established to help pay for Zenaida Gonzalez's legal fees, and donations can be made online. Dill also said that Casey's mom, Cindy Anthony, would most likely be called as a witness at the trial.

Maynard was a crime scene investigator on the case, and was called to testify in Casey's murder trial one year ago.
Maynard's biggest claim to fame with the case was she found the heart-shaped sticker among little Caylee's remains
Maynard testified twice during the trial and wondered if her testimony fell on deaf ears.
"I've testified in a lot of trials, and granted it was a Friday afternoon, but I kind of felt like the jury was kind of closed off,” Maynard said. “So short of a couple of women that were kind of leaning and nodding, they did appear to be closed off."
Maynard is no longer a crime scene investigator. She now works full-time at the breast cancer foundation that she created called "Libby's Legacy."

Ashton was the featured speaker Thursday at the 25th annual Law Enforcement Coordinating Committee and Nebraska County Attorneys Association Criminal Justice Conference in Kearney.
Ashton said Florida's public record law worked against prosecutors by tainting potential jurors. Under Florida's public record law, prosecutors are required to share with defense attorneys all of the evidence they have in a case, Ashton said.
“By the process of jury selection, the pretrial publicity had already eliminated 90 percent of the population, and so all you're left with is people who by nature are more skeptical and need to have a greater level of certainty to convict,” he said. “Because of that process, we ended up filtering out all those people who could've put the puzzle together
