Community group organizing meeting at Parking lot at holiday inn on bladensburg road tomorrow at 4pm to hand out fliers. I'm going. Leaving the kids with hubby for the evening.

Hi, Nikki - I'm another local. :seeya:

I went the 2nd day the LE was searching and took some photos, but unfortunately I haven't been able to return. We are working furiously around the clock on a home that we just bought so that we can hopefully move in within the next 10 days or so. Bottom line: I've been AWOL on here the past few days, but checking in at night.

My heart just aches after reading that article this evening. I work with so many kids like Relisha, and there are definitely 'other Relishas' out there.

What a precious child, who just wants to be loved and wants a normal life.

Another interesting tidbit was this. . .

Public records show that at least five of Young’s former landlords filed cases against her for breaching tenant contracts, with the latest eviction notice coming shortly before the family wound up at a motel off Bladensburg Road for three months and then entered the shelter in 2012.

So they lived in a Blandensburg Rd. motel for a time in 2011?

Idk if I believe SY really new KT since 2005. I think she was saying that at that time to substantiate the "like a godfather" claim. She has hence said she met him at the shelter. NOW I'm starting to wonder if she really met him while they were living in the motel on Blandensburg. Hmmmm. . .:waitasec:

i have so much to say I don't know where to begin. This was not found by me but posted on the HFRR page b someone else. I guess it is RL in the middle, but he does look similar to the video! Also, someone commented that they thought it was KT and Relisha on the escalator behind him since you can see a brightly colored (purple/ blue) coat on there. Very interesting!

I don't think that's him in the video, because I'm sure LE has tried matching the person up to some of the key players in this case.

That's not RL jr in the middle. He is much heavier.

Belinda Wheeler, Relisha’s paternal grandmother, said the girl’s mother described the janitor as someone who brought Relisha “a lot of gifts. . . . This Mr. Tatum was a friend of the family. . . . He was trying to be Relisha’s godfather.” But she added that Tatum did not know the family before they moved into the shelter.

This poor girl wanted out so badly. The absolute selfishness of SY to not give those children up for a better life is criminal. I will NEVER refer to that woman as a "Mother."

And I feel guilty when I don't allow my little ones to have a cookie. What Relisha has endured in her short 8 years...I can't even imagine. I can't understand. It is beyond comprehension for me.

In MOO...the answers are in the meeting that took place at the RRI on 3/19. Why the meeting? Why there? KT and AT had an apartment. It was calculated...cars left behind, drivers in place, leaving dead woman to be found. I believe those people have the answers that will lead to RR. Throw them all in an interrogation room until they break.

SY and anyone else in that family can say anything they want regarding KT now, he's not here to debunk it. None of the big stories came out until he died too. They were pretty tight lipped until his body surfaced.

From the WaPo article, says one of the boys is from the same father as RElisha. Interesting. I had pegged it as an older man, friend of the family having an illicit dalliance w/ a very much younger SY- but two kids says it was much longer lasting.

That's what I read too....poor baby girl. I would take her in a heartbeat and I have 4 children of my own. I might not be able to afford Helly's but I can afford all the love that her little heart could handle and kids would make you feel like a princess every day. By my faith, I believe everything thing happens for a reason. With all my soul, I want Relisha to be alive so please let the reason of her not being here is only ...her needing a safe place to escape from the madness and neglect. Come home babygirl, we love you dearly!!!

I wouldn't be surprised if SY threw 2005 out there as the year she met KT so she could remember what she said.

Those who tell the truth always tell the same story. Liars have to find a way to remember what they previously said.

This case, like the one that first brought me to WS - (Caylee Anthony) is filled with perhaps the main players lying for confusion sake.

e.g. 1) We are hearing...."I spoke to her on the phone" (yep, heard that too with the Caylee case.. oops.. but it was after she was deceased with Caylee, and after this angel was gone also)

2) I wasn't responsible for her. (grrrrrrrrrrrrrr and the jury didn't even agree on that one for Caylee).. In this case.... "not my fault as gramma and aunt were responsible for her" :banghead: etc etc ad naseum from a playbook.

And the family did it so quickly. Do they have a Baez playbook, or is this just how sociopaths go with the flow in general?

Perhaps now is a good time to light a candle in the thread that wolfmom keeps current x2 a day for Caylee.
