D.C. Police Chief Cathy Lanier is expected to give an update on the search for Relisha Rudd, the D.C. girl who vanished from a city homeless shelter two years ago.
A news conference will be held at 8:30 a.m. Wednesday.

D.C. police on Wednesday announced plans to conduct another search for Relisha Rudd, the little girl who disappeared 25 months ago with the janitor of a District homeless shelter.

Police Chief Cathy L. Lanier plans to address the media Wednesday morning before searchers fan out in a designated spot. Police would not identify the location of the site before police were in place. The chief has vowed that police will not stop searching for Relisha until all leads had been exhausted

The last full-scale search for Relisha, 8 when she disappeared, was in December at a 15-acre construction site a short distance from the hotel on New York Avenue in Northeast Washington where she was last seen alive with her abductor, who later was found dead.

Did I miss it or it is running late ?

ETA It's running late but the anchor just said some ' new information' was found during the search and LE wants to update . Maybe some of what was found has been tested or maybe nothing related to her was found.

Ugh, anchor just said ' we spoke to Melanie who said there is nothing that new to report ' ........ but the presser has not started. Dangit !

Media says ' why here, why now''...... Lanier says ' we continue to get new info and this is a follow up on new info''.
Body of water at Arboretum will be searched.

I'm so glad to hear this.

Remember now, though, that KT bought the garbage bags and lye. Whatever that may mean as related to this search. :(
