Mark Sievers not happy when Bonnie Sievers says girls were taken to psychic by Mary Ann Groves."She’s teaching them intuition,” Bonnie says.
Oops, that was Jacobs tweet.

Just a few things because I'm at least a dozen pages behind here.

YAY! for the court making the right decision in the best interest of the children! - YAY!

Oh, :boohoo: MS cries while I lol. :happydance:

Frankly, I'd be tweaked about them being taken to psychics, too. Aaaand did I hear someone say the magic woid "intuition"? rofl

So, phone calls can continue without third-party monitoring, but can we assume that all calls will still be recorded and available for the continued custody? How can the court trust BS again? They think by saying "don't talk about this or that" MS will comply or his mother will stop it?

What on earth would be in his letters to his children that would be considered "important information getting out?"

I also don't understand what MS means by "since MAG came back into their lives" since HE was the only thing keeping her from being there all along?

I'm curious as to what the therapist or counselor thinks the girls should know about their father's arrest for murdering their mother?
What does the therapist think about bringing the girls back to the murder house for a swim party?
Does the therapist get a transcript and/or video of today's hearing?
Does the therapist get copies of the phone calls so they can have some real information?

ETA: sorry, not BW - BS and I do mean BS

Jail calls played. Bonnie Sievers says she's "worried it will be years." Mark gets snappy, says "I’m getting out of here as soon as I can.”

*snort*
I wish we knew the date of that phone call. Was it before or after the bond hearing? Before or after the first degree murder charge?
Maybe I watch too much tv, but MS's comment stating he is going to get out as soon 'as soon as he can' sounds to me like someone planning to escape. I just find the way he worded it very odd.

“I could be in jail over a year waiting for a trial,” he continued. “I don’t want to scare you but I’m just telling you the truth. I want you to know the truth because we tell the truth. That’s what we do to each other.”

Mark Sievers then told his daughters they may lose their house and to collect any personal belongings.

“I can’t pay for a year or two while in jail,” he said.

aye yi yi
He is a certified narcissistic pathalogical liar for sure. MS needs to take a peek inside his XXXL underwear he ordered from the commissary, cuz I can smell smoke from here. :liar: #pantsonfire

I can't believe that no restrictions besides "don't let me catch you doing that again" was put on MS's contact with the girls. And if he were to start acting up again who would know??? The only reason it was brought to anyone's attention was due to BS challenging the custody arrangements. I don't think she'll try that a second time, so how will anyone know??? Will they be monitoring the jail calls closer? What about the letters? I'm honestly shocked at this part of the outcome.

Agreed. It's a repeat of the failure that allowed him to keep the girls in the first place.

i actually believe this is probably true. Constitutionally, give him enough rope to hang himself certainly gives the judge a lot more leverage.

I'm just having a helluva time accepting that those girls will be subjected to more of his brainwashing and manipulation. Honestly, at their ages and considering what all they have already endured, i hope they will be able to overcome this. I loathe child abuse and this is abuse. This isn't love or caring, it is abuse. And i have a real problem accepting it for another minute.

In one call, Mark suggested Groves is behind much of his predicament. The girls heard it, but Mark thought he was off speakerphone.

I don't know about anyone else, but I can ALWAYS tell when someone has me on speakerphone. He wants people to believe it was an accident that the girls heard him blaming their Mimi for his being in jail?

Not on your life.

"I want you to know the truth because we tell the truth," he lied.

I do not understand WHY BS did not get the girls things out of the house...clothes, 'toys', books, etc. I am assuming that she has not from the way MS talked. That would have been important to them. I do bet, that all of MS stuff was removed either by him previous to his arrest and given to his mom or BS got it out the few times she went to the house. Infact, I bet the Judge could so order the removal of the girls items if need be.

Does anyone know where the status of the house is....foreclosure? Is electricity back on, if not mold will grow quickly with hotter days? Then the girls items will be useless.

So the girls "accidentally" hear him say it is MAG's fault that he is in jail, and then he tells them (just being honest and all, cause that's how he rolls) that they may lose their house because he is in jail.

Ugh, I just can not post how I feel about that. But it would involve a lot of curse words!

Electricity WS turned back on a few wks ago, wasn't off long. It seems neighbors saw BS checking on the house until the power was turned off & she couldn't enter. I also wondered about the girls things BUT hoped DCF possibly went in with them for their things. This would NOT be something MAG should have to do---entering that house where it all happened.

Is Florida a two person consent to record phone calls? If no, then MAG could record the phone calls. If yes, she would have to tell him and get consent to record.

Answered my own question----- Under Florida law, in most circumstances all parties to the call must consent to the recording of the call in order to make it legal to record the call. This type of restrictive law is sometimes referred to as a “two-party consent” law but in in reality, Florida has an “all-party consent” law in place. Chapter 934 of the Florida Statutes governs the Security of Communications and Surveillance Operations within the State of Florida. Florida Statute § 934.03 is the State of Florida’s primary wiretapping law, which governs the interception and disclosure of wire, oral, or electronic communications. Florida Statute § 934.03(1) lists what acts are illegal, including but not limited to the use of any electronic device to intercept an oral communication or phone call. If you violate the statute, you are committing a crime. Pursuant to Florida Statute § 934.03(4), the crime could be a third degree felony, which is usually punishable by up to five years in state prison. In addition to the criminal penalties for illegally recording a call, you may also be liable for civil fines and penalties pursuant to Florida Statute § 934.10. ~http://www.uscriminallawblog.com/2015/07/27/is-it-illegal-to-record-a-phone-call-in-florida/

When you make a call from jail. They tell you the calls could be monitored by them. So if Mary tells him she is recording on her end as well. Then this will force him to keep the conversations nice. But once he talks to them at Bonnies; He would think the coast is cleared to say what he wants. But he still would be recorded on the jail side. Wooops.

But Mary should tell the courts that she wants the right to record things so she can immediately rebuff anything false he says to the girls. Jmo.

What kind of conversations does MS have with the girls when they're at BS' home? He can say whatever he wants? I'm emotionally exhausted, and it's only Monday. The Warriors better win tonight.

Still, all jail cell calls are recorded and can be monitored to see if he is not abiding by the judge's ruling.

Mark Sievers is one smooth, master manipulator. From the article much of his side of conversations with the girls were award winning performances. He just cannot understand that others can actually see through his platitudes and thinly veiled propaganda. Thank god his conversations with his mother were much more real and accurate in his manic control and manipulations.

I have to remember this is just one step forward among many small steps to come. MAGS won- the most important outcome- for now. The girls are seeing a therapist and the GAL has Marks number and isn't going anywhere.

Bring on the discovery and give the girls time to readjust to a life outside the cult that is Mark Sievers. I have no doubt he was secretly indoctrinating them long before the plan to kill their mother went in to action. It is going to take time and love, lots of love to deprogram them. I know what it's like to live in a cult.

Oh No :trainwreck:.......I'm clutching my pearls!
I love you!

LOL! Welcome to our family here!

We will gladly help you catch up. Pack heavily though - lots of food and even more cocktails. :D
Exactly what she said! :grouphug:

Is red the new orange?!!!

I just got caught up after one heck of a bad Monday IRL. I'm glad MS didn't get his way today & BS got caught in a lie (she's starting to make her way up my co-conspiracist list) but I too wish the judge would have been more stern about the calls. Hopefully MS will stay true to his impulses & lose his phone privileges sooner than later bc we all know he ain't changing his ways. He took those girls for a swim back at the house their mother was killed in with the (1 of) very man who murdered her a week (or 2) after she died for crying out loud!! I have no words. He really brings out my salty attitude. I am serious about making a trip for the trial.

JMO and all that jazz

Judge says the conversations he listened to today have to stop. No discussing case, belitting other people, or calls will stop. #winknews

Judge says once a week jail visitations can happen. Phone calls can remain. #winknews

I am devastated for the girls. Why on earth would Lutheran Services have introduced the idea of jail visits?? WTH were they thinking??

I think it's a good idea. I mean, it's a bad idea for the girls to have to experience it, but MS *should* feel the same and back off insisting they come to the jail. That is, if he has his children's best interest at heart. We know he doesn't, but it's a good point for the GAL to keep in file.

"Lee County Circuit Court Judge Robert Branning also ruled that the letters Sievers writes to his girls, as well as their jail visits, must be supervised."

http://www.winknews.com/2016/05/16/phone-conversations-at-the-center-of-sievers-custody-hearing/

Does the court consider the murderer's mother a suitable supervisor of his calls and letters? That can't be right or at least, it shouldn't be right. Third-party supervision makes sense, but not any family member on either side. IMO.

Aren't they recorded by the jail?

But the jail isn't going to call Mary back and say Mark told the kids you are poisoning them or whatever.

The jail would simply wait for the next hearing before Mary even knows what's being said. But if she knows that day. Then she could have a talk with the kids and immediately push for an emergency hearing.
