I've taken an interest in this case seeing that it occurred not too far from where I live. It's in the Marydel range (the border between Delaware and Maryland). It's what can be considered the very backroads of Delaware and doesn't take much driving to enter parts of Maryland. It's not a very populated area and is still fairly unknown, even to other Delawareans. Makes me wonder if she was dumped there by someone who was local to the area and perhaps she was from upper Delaware or even out of state? The area she was found has a small-town feel where everyone talks so if she had lived there and gone missing, I'm sure there would have been a lot of talk about it.

"The victim was located in a wooded area, at Del. 10 at Mahans Corner Road, east of Sandtown, 6 miles Southwest of Camden, DE."
I havent really dug into this but does anyone know of a more detailed description of the area found? Was she just into the woods or further in? Any pathways nearby? Could help with the mindset of her murderer. Also I wonder if this area has been built up as DE is building on every inch of land now. I could check out the area if I had more to go on.

There are 2 articles saved in NamUs.

One states that the remains were found in a ravine just off Mahan Corner road about 1 1/2 miles from the Maryland border.

The other states wooded area off Kent 208 (Mahon’s Corner road) north of Delaware 10, near the Maryland border.

Root growth and underbrush suggest she was deceased for about 1 or 2 years prior (1995/96) Found by a hiker in a wooded area along the DE and Maryland line. I believe this area is creek, canal, and a water wildlife area. Maybe not really well known unless your local (?) She could have been taken to this location by a small fishing type boat possibly. I wonder if she was ever reported missing?
