Here is another report about the marriage. Of course someone married the criminal Charles Bronson in the UK and I see someone fell for Ted Bundy after his arrest and I am sure someone would marry EAR/ONS AKA The Golden State Killer if they could after his arrest and they would last about two minutes if left alone with him:

Artist marries infamous Danish submarine killer

It´s been a long time! Hope everyone is OK!

Yukk, that someone would marry Peter Madsen.
Is she possibly doing it for fame? All mention is good mention when it comes to establishing a name for yourself.
In ANY case, I don´t understand that a woman would even consider contacting this evil maniac. She must have issues. Hope her kids are all right!!!

Fortunately the mainstream media here in Denmark have ignored the marriage for the most part.
In general Peter Madsen is not talked about much. Those types tend to sink to the bottom of the news stream pretty fast. They sit and rot away all on their own.
As it should be.

A lovely article written by Caterina Clerici, a friend of Kim Wall, who have spoken with Kim's parents Ingrid and Joachim about their daughter, and the book they have written about her. Ingrid is a journalist herself, and Joachim was a newspaper photographer for many years, so it's understandable that they want to write about who Kim was, and her work, she was much more than "just a murder victim".
‘We don’t want her to be remembered as the victim’: Kim Wall’s parents on telling her story

Peter Madsen have made an escape attempt from prison this morning, but he didn't get far outside. The police caught him, but as he claims to have a belt with explosives, police snipers are guarding him until an explosive unit can check him out. A daring attempt to escape, but bound to fail.

I wasn't expecting that when I opened this thread. From the link:

I've just watched the first part of "The investigation" (Utredningen), a Swedish-Danish tv sequel in six parts about the investigation of Kim Wall's murder on Swedish tv on demand. It's very good, it follows the investigation from the point of view of the chief of the homicide department in Copenhagen. I don't know if you can see it from outside Sweden, but here's the link to the first part: Utredningen - 1. Dag 1
(The name of PM wasn't mentioned once, they only mention him as "the submarine builder", or describing him in other similar terms, no name.)

Do you know if 'the submarine builder' had help when he escaped today?

Yes, the police have told that PM had help, but not what kind of help yet. Even if he's a resourceful person (he has build a couple of submarines), it can't be easy to find materials in a prison to make a "bomb belt" and a copy of a gun. Here's an article with a video how PM walks by with a rucksack, and how several prison guards, and police a few seconds later jogs after him, and manages to catch him after some hundred meters from the prison.

Peter Madsen is charged with escaping from prison and threatening men with prison staff and officers.

He pleads guilty to all six counts, the lawyer said.

After Peter Madsen has admitted his guilt in all six cases, the doors to the courtroom have been closed to the public, including the press.

This is quite common in a case where there may still be accomplices at large.

If you did not know it, you would probably never have guessed it.

That the man in the blue trousers and the black jacket with a bag on his back, walking on a road in an industrial area in Albertslund, is a convicted murderer who has just escaped from one of the country's most secure prisons.

Just a few minutes after Peter Madsen's escape, he came walking down the street a few hundred meters from Herstedvester Prison.

The video shows brand new images that B.T. has come into possession of.

On the camera's time code you can see that the time was 10.23.08, when Peter Madsen was caught on the surveillance images.

Just two minutes before, at 10.21, the alarm had gone off from the prison to the Copenhagen West Region Police.

The infamous killer Peter Madsen had escaped from the top-secured prison, where he is serving a life sentence for the murder of the Swedish journalist Kim Wall.

In the video, you can see Peter Madsen walking quite calmly at a pace that does not remind of a prisoner escape.

Just over half a minute later, 10.23.47, you can see a person in black clothes, probably staff from the Danish Prison and Probation Service, coming running in the direction of Peter Madsen.

About 10 seconds later, another person wearing the well-known light blue shirt of the police and prison officers comes jogging after him.

In the ensuing minute and a half, one can see a large number of people coming running at a leisurely pace in the same direction as the murder-convicted submarine captain disappeared into a few moments before.

From the press conference with Copenhagen's Vestegns Politi on Tuesday afternoon, we know that Peter Madsen was detained just a few minutes after the new pictures where he comes walking were taken.

Before the police caught Peter Madsen at 10.26, he had jumped into a white van.

That particular van was detained by police with drawn weapons.

Not long after, Peter Madsen was handcuffed, while the police waited for the bomb unit, which was to take a closer look at a belt, which was later called a ' fake explosive belt' by the police.

Peter Madsen is now charged under section 124 of the Criminal Code on escape. He can get up to two years in prison.

Denmark, there is something rotten in the state of your most secure prison....

Well, he had taken a female prison psychologist as a hostage, and threatened to harm her, do it's understandable that the prison guards felt that they had to let him go, to prevent harm to their colleague.

It will be interesting to hear more about how that happened.

I had a friend who worked in the prison system and he told me that Rule no. 1 was to never be alone in the 'closed' part of the prison. Because you could never know. And he wasn't working in a high security prison.

This concludes the constitutional hearing itself, and Peter Madsen is formally remanded in custody for the next 14 days.

Madsen to the police: Should I not be protected?

After the court hearing, Peter Madsen had a short stay in a side room to the courtroom. When policemen with goggles led him away from the courtroom, he said to them: "The danger that makes you wear glasses - should I not really be protected from it too?". He was probably thinking about the corona, and his question was not answered.

Does not acknowledge that there were accomplices

His defense counsel states that Peter Madsen admitted well enough in the court hearing, but he has not acknowledged that there should be other accomplices.

Defender: That's why he did it

- It's hard for him to get away with what's been going on. He has explained that he was tired of the restrictions that were in prison - for example around communication and the like. But now there will probably just be more of that kind, says his defender.

11.22
Defender: I will be his defender in the future

- I have been a defender because I am one of the beneficiaries who had the guard out here today. I'll probably continue with the case as well - he's asked me to.

11.23
Controlled visit

- Being in custody will mean that he will now be subject to letter and visit control, so that the authorities can keep track of who he is in contact with, the defender informs BT

11.24
- Now he is imprisoned for 14 days, and the police must investigate what happened.

11.24
Defender: Peter Madsen is sorry

-He has told me that he is sorry that he has exposed the prison guards and the psychologist to the things that have happened, but that he tried to do so that they were exposed to at least possible harm, the defender adds.
