At times I wonder if Jodi played the sex tape and told him she'd send it to the bishop and his friends if he didn't change his mind, and he told her go ahead, you'll lose more than me. All the those prospers Mormon's would be gone. All that would be left would be the Gus's.

Speaking of, Gus is mentioned twice in ( except for the money in the bank saying) in this last journal. She tells him the helio that he'd given her was stolen.

I don't know when, or in what context she told Travis she betrayed him by secretly baiting him into having recorded phone sex but I DO believe it happened, after may 26th. I do believe, that's what the talks of the attorneys were about. Travis threatened to sue her halfway to Sunday if that tape ever saw the light of day. I think the phone sex is what he is referring to when he talks of being hurt, and she's the worst thing to ever happen to him. It also explains, why he and she were so vague to the reasons he was mad. No matter what though, that tape was the pivotal tipping point in that relationship. I am of the belief, this is how she got Travis to open his door to her on that fateful day by manipulating him into believing she was wrong,saw the error of her way and to prove it she was giving him the helio phone. And none of this is mentioned in those journals in length. With jodis personality she'd have wrote a novel on how she felt about that fight. It would have rambled, jumping from thought to thought and yet.. it's not there

Yes, I do believe she probably did record him on previous occasions. But, I think the quality of the recording was probably so poor I.e she had him on speakerphone and tried to record it with another device and what resulted was probably just Herr voice and faint mumbling of Travis voice. This is why she sought out that helio phone she even stated so much so that hers had a recording mechanism of conversation (even in 2014 this is still tricky to do with iphones and galaxies) . So she finally located a helio, setting the stage for the call on previous days until she found him in a weak moment in the middle of the night for the recording. But I don't think there are now or ever these same caliber of calls. And, excellent point. I didn't realize the dates the phone was reportedly stolen and then found. In sure she "staked" out the ninjas who stole it with her tazer gun :shame:

The Helio was found in her grandpa's truck two years later when Aunt Sue went for take out. IIRC the Helio was replaced by Gus because she had dunked hers in hot chocolate, and he's such a nice guy and had an extra laying around so he gave it to her. I'll try to find the date and IIRC Jodi was at his large mobile home when he gave it to her. And IIRC Gus said that Travis was being mean and making Jodi cry and he offered her a shoulder. I wonder if she stopped on the way to back to Yreka to pick it up. I agree the fist was poor quality, and she had to redo it.

She left April 9th? I haven't read what she was doing that month yet.

I want to know who paid for the facial fillers and botox. I haven't found any hint nor mention besides the "where Jodi goes money flows" so maybe she considered her looks an investment that did not pay off.

I am so grateful for civil liberties. I often think to myself when in line at security in an airport,"this is a necessary evil". if it's going to further ensue my safety and the safety of those flying, then so be it. And I do love feeling secure. That feeling is wonderful. But I looove being free. Having the freedom to choose. to come & go when I please. to do a particular activity or not, to decide how I want to live my life, to worship. to be an entrepreneur, to hang out with associations; people.

And now the only civil rights she has is to drag out a trial where she's been found guilty and needs to face her punishment.


The entry before this one is dated Thurs, 8 -2-07 - and is the one where she want to cut off it's life source. The one following is dated Friday, Aug 3 ,2007. Why does she cram things in between others?

Very helpful post, thanks, Margaret. It makes me more convinced than ever that she dyed her hair at Matt's or possibly Mr Brewer's. Her vanity suggests that photos would have to be taken to show off her new hair colour, as soon as possible. Juan hinting around this time is a further nudge in the direction of that timeframe. Arias had no qualms about showering at men's houses, as testified in court.

After seeing her latest pics, I think she's had facial fillers before the murder of course and they're wearing off now. Possibly some botox too. The lumps in her face look suspiciously like worn off bad facial fillers and worn off botox. Despite how stressed she is, no one ages that much in a year. That's imo enhancements wearing off. Makeup wouldn't cover that up because some days I can tell where she's wearing makeup. Almost every court pic she has some on. Some days more than others.

According to an MD on the website realself.com: "Botox works only 3-4 months. Some people feel that they get 6 months out of it..but they are the exception. Restylane works 6 months to a year ..more on the 9 month side. Sculptra is a type of filler that has shown to last over 2 years. However if you want a magic shot that will reverse aging without needing anything again, there is nothing for that....botox, fillers, laser, surgery..None of them stop the aging process."

Someone in jail wouldn't have access to any of that and she's been locked away for over 6.5 yrs.

June 3 Jodi shows up at Darryl's, close to Monterey, around 7am. She ate breakfast with him and son Jack. She checked her email on his computer. She got the gas cans (she had called him twice in late May and early June asking to borrow them).

Perhaps she also checked Travis' email and this put,er, fuel on the fire? Added urgency to her trip? You betcha!

Have you also noticed how much she actually changed appearance in the photos of her taken pre-murder? It's as though her chameleon quality extended also to her looks, and how she looked reflected who she was with. Looking at some of those photos, to me she looks like a different person in almost every shot.

The fact that none of them will speak for her allocution or even to save her during the first trial shows that she's delusional. She had to be deep in the planning stages of Travis's murder is my guess. It's always been speculated that as of May 26th Jodi decided to kill Travis, but what if it was before that? My guess would be Jodi went to Mesa and Travis didn't commit to her, then Mesa didn't work at all, Jodi went back to California and Travis didn't care. That would possibly fit with the journal timeline too. The names in her journals are just names. They're part of the game she played that she thinks she's winning.

I think it was more than that Travis didn't care. He actively wanted her to leave Mesa and encouraged it. He even sold her a car on the cheap so she could drive away.

Is there any chance the "phone sex tape" was actually recorded live in TA's bedroom at some earlier date and then manipulated onto her phone?

Regarding JA's um enhancements, I should have specified what I meant by facial fillers. I think she did do botox in the past, but may have had a face lift in her past. She spent all that time in the sun with no sun damage, plus the lumps in her cheeks. Skin doesn't lose elasticity like that in a few years. The difference between 2013 and now is crazy drastic. Makeup can't hide lumps in your face unless she had access to more makeup and was able to contour and highlight and conceal every day during the last trial. Was Wilmott playing makeup artist? Do we even want that answer? I do think she's had lip injections as well. Her personality speaks of insecurity, falsehoods, and just strange things.

You can probably get silicone shots or something into the cheeks to fill them out.... I'm guessing not botox, but something more durable. I doubt she had a face lift. Maybe a nose job? I also have noticed how different she looks from last year, but she was already headed in this direction. Her face has become cellulite-y. There is also a chance that medication might change her looks substantially, but I'm not sure what medication that might be.

There are some off market injections done in Mexico and other "filler" parties at bargain prices that last forever, and ever and are so dangerous.

She was 27 at the time of the murder. Never heard of anyone getting a facelift at that young age. She didn't have the money for it plus there's no evidence she had any cosmetic procedures on her face or injectables. No access to cosmetic procedures in jail either.

"Facelift" would be odd at that age but there are a ton of procedures that wouldn't be that unheard of. Micro dermabrasion, for example.

But honestly, some folks just seem to hit an expiration date harder and faster than others. Plus I'm sure living at the Arapahoe Resort and Spa doesn't bring out the best in anyone.

Her face looks off to me. Like some stuff shifted from a bad cosmetic procedure. Or a few. It's like if you had a Pomeranian or a Persian cat and neglected it, just fed it and gave it water, changed the litter, but didn't really groom it. That animal would be healthy, but look really weird. Like crazy. I'm not saying I feel bad for her, but when I saw pictures it was very shocking to me. I was like this has to be why she kicked the media out. The journals confirmed that for me. She's an ungroomed animal.
