I was just in the JAII site. There was a long scathing article “Corruption, State Sponsored Murder & Twelve Angry Men”. At the end of the article it said they have a real special wish for Chris H

and as for you Alexanders (CLICK HERE).

When I clicked on it, it jump to another screen and immediately started to download.. I quickly cancelled before it finish downloading so I don’t know what it said. A threat?? More harassment?? Clearly they are not going to let the family alone. If anyone is brave enough to do the DL, please let me know what it says.

I sure would hate to be on a jury and find out the defendant is actively pursuing teens and telling them how to lie and steal and cheat....isn't she just the best (snark) little prisoner ever??? Gag.

According to this November 2014 article the calls are stored for 60 days. ?

The Sheriff's Office will store video calls for 60 days and will monitor calls for criminal or sexual activity.

Respectfully, I disagree. We filed a civil suit in regards to my brother's murder. We won. The money was used to fund 3 scholarships: One at Duke University, one at the Hill School, and one for the Children of the Chester County Detectives who solved my brother's murder.

While you are entitled to your opinion, I take it you have never walked in these shoes. IMOO

So true Zuri, and wow what an awesome outcome of your suit! We did not sue. The man who killed my brother had little, and left a wife and young child to deal with his crime. Just a simple matter of choice, but no one has any say in what that choice should be. I support the Alexanders fully. (((((HUGS)))))

That sounds really, really bad. Probably best for us NOT to go there. They're all in a furor because Joe banned some. It interrupts the plans they have. I'm afraid the download may be showing a killing. Remember SW's video of her shooting Juan on TV during the 1st trial? Beside it being a virus.
I read on the State FB page that people saw threats to sheriff joe too.
That site was reported to be investigated because of the 'official' court doc of jurors names. So why are they still posting threats?

I understand that it went as follows, Lin. IIRC it was Troy who said that these video sessions are not being recorded (I think in his online news program yesterday), as for how the infractions/incidents came to light and resulted in banning the 10 people from vid chat with Travis' murderer it was reported to Arpaio by the "Jail Intel/Monitoring Team". Is this how others understand things went down? Thanks for any feedback to clarify.

Thanks, yes I missed that. Now I can understand why they might not want the public to think the calls are unmonitored and not recorded, but I can't imagine that any LE agency would turn that function off. It's actually one of the best reasons for LE to use it and to discontinue personal contact or non-contact visits. IIRC it's in the company's sales pitch. I think they do have every bit of what is said and probably back up copies too.

Yes, I was surprised that JSS waived pre-sentencing because I thought that was what the 30 days was for. I couldn't understand Nurmi on the video, but what reason did he give for her needing that time? It's not as if she wasn't aware she was going, so why the request and why did JSS agree once she confirmed they were waiving pre-sentencing?

That bothered me too. I could have sworn the whole purpose of any delay was if the defendent wanted time to prepare some kind of statement to present to the judge before sentencing. Since the defendent waived her right to present that, there is no reason for any delay. It was another bad decision by JSS imo.

More favoritism granted to the defense because JSS is "afraid of appeals", so lets just give this defendent every thing under the sun and X-mis presents too.

I may be wrong, but if I recall correctly what happened, it was done out of order.
The judge first talked to the defendent's side about the date and finalized the date and then the judge started to talk to them about whether they wanted to prepare a statement. Then Jodi got up and waived that herself.
Then, there was 1 last discussion about the date again, but it was all based on the 1st date that JSS already established.

She should have sentenced her immediately after Jodi got up and waived her right to prepare/give a statement.

I may have the timing wrong on how it went down but that is how i recall it.

Remember her time at Estrella is running down. This time next month she'll be spending her first day in Perryville. No video arcades...errr...video chat, strict enforcement of the rules, limited visitation, limited phone calls.

Has the formal sentencing date been changed? What is the updated sentencing date?

ETA: Just read post entries after the one I quoted. It seems a change in the date is in the works. Hope earlier sentencing date becomes reality!!

Exhibit 2.3.1 spells out the technical capabilities of the system, and those include recording and monitoring. The end user (Estrella) has the option of not activatating the recording feature, in real-time or for playback (makes sense the system has this shut off feature, since attorney-clinet visits can't be recorded).

From the snippets out there I'd guess that Estrella doesn't monitor the calls in real-time (too labor intensive and expensive). Hopefully the calls have all been recorded and are available for playback, though I haven't seen confirmation of that.

The vendor info is interesting. Interested "visitors" sign up with the vendor, not through Estrella. The calls can be paid for with a pre-paid credit card, available anywhere. Visitors are supposed to provide a photo of themselves and one state-issued ID. International callers are supposedly not allowed, so don't know how that alleged person from Greece gained access.

I really, really want to see a copy of that 'Manifesto' now. Thinking back to how early she wrote it... I believe it will be shocking and very, very telling.

How do taxpayers fund a million $ plus defense for an 'indigent' killer who has the funds to pay for 9 hours of video chatting? I know they are apples to oranges but if I was a resident, I would be pizzed and attending every city meeting and lighting up the phone lines of my local and state representatives.

Have we heard anything much from MDLR?
