I'm just wondering if anyone knows the approximate date that Dr. Phil met with George and Cindy for these interviews? Have googled for an answer, but haven't been able to find one.

I can't find a link but I want to say I saw Aug. 3 as the date when the interview took place.

I didn't know I had to explain my opinion of these people. IMO they're all liars and GA is better at it because he manages to garner sympathy from some...there's more but this thread is for the phil carnival show

In another Anthony update, WFTV reported that George and Cindy Anthony were spotted flying first class to Houston with their attorney, Mark Lippman.

In the jail letters to Robyn, Casey talks about getting dad away from mom and out of the house again...


Casey was still trying to break them in court. Remember the outburst when Cindy wouldn't look at her and Casey thought she was going to protect George after the allegations her defense team made? Detailed allegations made long after this letter where after accusing her brother Lee she goes on to say:

Cindy changed her tune testifying more pro-Casey after this outburst occurred once she and the jury left the courtroom.

An observation I made watching part 1, in one of the jailhouse visit videos Dr. Phil played for George and Cindy Casey's response is highly agitated and dismissive of her daughter when Cindy tells her "the whole United States is looking for her." Cindy goes on to say; "Everyone is looking for her..." Casey anxiously swats at her cheek while sighing deeply and then she says; "Good." insincerely.

Here is a good example of the twisted Cindy/Casey/Caylee relationship. If Casey convinced herself she was "protecting Caylee" as she claims time and time again I believe she thought Caylee's fate was protecting her from Cindy, not George or Lee.

That outburst you posted..it's interesting to now know how mad GA really was at her (even though I always believed TM) and that she was so mad when he came back when Caylee as a baby. She must really expect CA to take her side above GA at all times...

What makes you believe that she was part of those accusations or had any control over it?

He's no longer licensed.

He could still counsel her, though. He's got plenty of money, he doesn't need to charge her or expect reimbursement from an insurer. Obviously he has the skills and experience.

It's just a thought. She seems to like him (of course we don't know what she said when she left).

Oh, I totally respect your opinion, and I'm sorry if it appeared otherwise in my question to you.

I, too, have followed the case since the beginning, and I do have a different opinion than yours ... I just sincerely wanted to "hear" and try to understand the basis from which you formed your opinion.

How could she have been told Casey was working two jobs then a sentence later in an explanation in response to Dr. Phil's question refer to Casey's employment as "the job". Singular.

The 'job' (singular) can refer to either of the two jobs she thought Casey had at the same time. I don't think that was a slip. Or it could be an editing issue. I don't remember if there was a question in between or if the camera angle changed or anything.

It wouldn't surprise me if ga was in full agreement with that whole senario. It's my belief that both ca and ga did everything and anything in order to save their princess.

I think GA is the more suave one of the two. I also think he is the one that saw the $$$ opportunity before CA. JMO

That is like trying to answer why women don't leave their abusive husbands.

I would suspect that George may have had a very controlling mother much like Cindy. If so, he was raised with the idea that the woman of the house is in sole charge of the decision making concerning the children. He certainly wouldn't be the first husband/father to be pushed aside by the wife/mother as having little value in the family home.

I do think George has been severely emotionally abused for 30 years and thinks he has no identity other than being Cindy's husband. Also it is very common for those who are even in abusive relationships to genuinely love the person that makes their lives hell sometime.

Now because of the circumstances and them being ostracized by so many... I believe they both think that all they have is each other.

I think playing the good parent/bad parent routine was the only way George and Cindy knew how to deal with Casey. I disagree with those who claim that Cindy is controlling, I think Cindy played the part of the peace keeper and, because of that, she was controlled by Casey and, to an extent, by George too. She's still playing that role, trying to make excuses for Casey to keep George from hating her, and trying to soften what George says so as not to infuriate Casey. It's no wonder to me that Cindy seems a bit off her rocker, she has good reason to be, IMO.

Actually, I could enjoy discussing this topic on another thread or something sometime. I have many reasons for my opinion of him.

I personally think the only reason George is still with Cindy is because of the potential financial gains. I don't see that marriage lasting at all, at least until the Caylees Fund runs dry.

Your right that they can't spend non-profit monies anyway they wish. But isn't it true that some non-profits spend a majority of funds on administrative costs such as salaries rather than their stated cause? That is to be seen in the case of the Anthonys but it is possible.

Nonprofits may spend as much or as little as they like on admin. costs, though they may be flagged by the IRS for spending a huge amount on admin costs for several years, which may result in an audit. It is pretty typical for a new nonprofit to spend more $s on admin as they get the nonprofit up and running.

Salaries are not considered across the board to be an administrative cost. If a staff person is working on programming, then this is a program cost, not admin. When I was the ED of a nonprofit, 80% of my time was spent on programming and 20% was on G&O, and our financials and 990s reflected that (I had to detail what I did with my time for the auditors to come up with that ratio).
