Where was the bruise he's saying was to the bone/great amount of force? Buttocks or shins?

I thought it was the buttocks---but it was confusing the way the tweets were coming out, in spurts.

WOW. Thank you for posting this link.

Interesting. The first ME put the Time of death as : 11:17 pm Mar 1st, 2004

How the heck did he figure out the TOD to the minute?

Also, he lists all of the bruises, but I see no mention of them being old or new bruises.

The time of death was when she was officially declared dead. It was not when she was actually killed.

We should all take a quick look-see at this 2004 autopsy. Because I think the defense is going to rely heavily upon it in their cross.

Just jumping off from your post re: autopsy report file.

I started to read and noticed on second page there is no state file number and Dr. Bryan Mitchell did not sign it, also on page three the time of death is nine hours after the time of autopsy..........

If this has already been discussed, please forgive me - I just started following here at WS (for this case) when the trial started.

Will this help/hinder the case?

Thanks, Ruby.

ETA: I will continue reading the rest of the file - I noticed these few things and had to post about them.

What the heck could her COD be? The only thing i can come up with is what has been posted. Especially with todays testimony. There was a struggle. She was drowned in the toilet and she was dumped in the tub. Thoughts?

BADEN: Even initially, there was enough information that it was a homicide because of the fact that she was an adult, healthy, hadn't been drinking or anything, found dead in a bathtub. It does not happen accidentally. No history of seizures or illness. And in addition, there were indications then of multiple blunt force traumas, of being beaten up. And one of the things we were able to look at today is those bruises were still there, and we could see with the naked eye that they were fresh.
VAN SUSTEREN: All right. Now, you say that you can — I mean, that makes a big difference, if the bruises were fresh...
BADEN: Right.
VAN SUSTEREN: ... I mean, close to the time of her death. How do you make that determination now, you know, three-plus years later, looking at the remains, that those are fresh bruises?
BADEN: Well, even in 2004, the doctor who did the autopsy describes them as fresh bruises. And now the color is what is very helpful. It gives us a purple, fresh color, like in a boxing match. A person gets struck in the eye, and then, the next round, there's a purple discolorations around it. A bright purple discoloration is indicative of fresh hemorrhage, and that should be always confirmed by looking at it under the microscope. That wasn't done previously, but we've taken sections of that to look at it under the microscope to determine conclusively whether it's fresh or not.=======================================================

I must be missing something. I did not see anywhere that the ME in 2004 said the bruises were fresh. Did anyone else find that in the report?

FYI from Justice Cafe ... there is a case timeline. This actually involves the disappearance of Stacy and Drew's life prior to marrying either of them.

Re: Autopsy Report File.

With out being a doctor and understanding all the medical lingo, can someone help me decipher the diagnosis section?

All I could get from it was there was water in the sinuses. Was water found any where else, at least in the lungs?

Thanks, Ruby.

Feb. 27. Steve Maniaci and Kathleen have dinner and drinks together; later have sex.

Feb. 28 Kathleen and Steve have argument over phone; neither wants to leave their home and go to the other's house. Source

Feb. 29 Steve unable to reach Kathleen. Source

March 1 Steve unable to reach Kathleen. Monday evening, gets call from Kathleen's neighbor that Drew is at Kathleen's house with locksmith and they are going to enter Kathleen's home. Steve calls later, and the neighbor tells him Kathleen is dead. He drives to her house, and sees Drew there and has conversation w/Drew. Source

IMO The DT will likely try to show that the bruising/abrasions were a result of the sexual encounter between Kathleen and Steve. I don't buy it.

That's what i want to know too. With a drowning water in the lungs is key. I see nothing about that. That's basic 101. If she was unconscious it would account to no water in the lungs. We know there were no drugs/alcohol in her system that would attribute to passing out and slipping under the water. Based on todays testimony it appears she was placed in a dry tub. Speaking to the blood in the tub.

I hope the jurors don't fall for the defense tactic of breaking up the flow of the testimony with their multiple objections.

And poor Ralph Meczyk ... who lost control and randomly shouted objection when he had none. I guess he just wanted to be part of the team.

LOL well it was funny. Gotta find humor at the worst of times :what: All i know is if i was a Juror I would be thinking stop wasting my time. Present your case. Represent your Client in a concise professional manner. I am here to hear the facts and come to a verdict. Before Christmas :banghead:

How many of those sidebars were the jurors escorted out I wonder. Poor poptarts.

Are the Jurors in this Court allowed to take notes during trial?

I'm still not caught up reading......

though, I have decided if Drew walks, I am renaming Will County, Drew's Will county. ARGH!

There are no new bruises to the decedent." Nowhere did Mitchell state that in his autopsy report. #drewpeterson

AymaMuse: RT @facsmiley: Because Coroner O'Neil told them this: "There are 6 or there are 7 other bruises noted...all of which are old.
=====================================================

Someone on the DREWPETERSONTRIAL site is tweeting the above info.

Is that correct? Did the original ME say the bruises were old?

Don't those idiots know we can read?! Or do they really think everone is naive enough to hang on their every word of this distorted story they're trying to sell?! From the beginning, ie: Kathleen being a hot tempered, lying sex fiend to name a few? :furious::furious: Grrrr, I'm SO mad!! Does anyone know if the jury will be able to see that? And especially her letter, oh how I pray?!
