Just talked to a local lawyer: there WILL be an appeal filed, probable grounds: trial should NOT have been in Boston! IMHO, no way will this appeal be granted as the Judge was wicked careful in providing fairness to DT.

It was because TM gave up his rights to appeal after a few years into his conviction. He wanted to die.

IIRC McVeigh refused all appeals. He wanted to be executed as quickly as possible. I think it only took 7 years until his execution.
