An Egypt Air jet that took off from Paris and was on its way to Cairo has disappeared from the radar, according to the airline.
In a tweet, Egypt Air said flight MS804 went missing from radar while en route. It is carrying 59 passengers and 10 crew members.
Egypt Air cited an official source saying the airline lost contact with the flight at 2:45 a.m. Cairo time. According to the airline, the plane was on the rise and disappeared before entering Egyptian airspace by 80 miles, or 10 minutes.

An Egypt Air Flight MS804, a Cairo-bound passenger jet that departed from Paris on Thursday morning local time, has gone off radar somewhere near Greece, according to the airline, as well as other posts on social media, including from Sky News Arabia.
