Enquirer Sez What Set George Off Was...

My DD was born a week after Caylee. She was often rewarded with a sticker for doing a wee on the toilet (and later, a "big, big" sticker for making a "splash" )

I'm sure if George and Cindy were spending so much time raising Caylee, then any of Caylee's stickers would be quite familar to them.

I had EXACTLY the same thought. Caylee was of an age when she should have been potty training and we know she was still in diapers.

Many parents/teachers use stickers as incentive to use the potty.

Here's yet another possibility/thought. Could Caylee's death have resulted from Casey smacking or pushing her because she went in her pants rather than on the potty?

i sometimes am given a sticker and the nurse puts my name on the sticker
and i wear it around and eat cookies and juice for 20 minutes or so

now, i dont think george is the blood giver type but perhaps the sticker could have some identifying marks on it that will reveal some type of timeline or something else on it.


more than likely the sticker has the killers finger prints all over it
which will make casey GO DIRECTLY TO JAIL for a longgggggggg time

BC said last week that the A's hadn't even gotten the latest info. I found that hard to believe.

I don't trust a single thing BC says or does. In a different way (I doubt that he has murdered anyone) he is much like Casey.

So Cindy lied again concerning GA and his breakdown. She said it was about the jewelry for Caylee's funeral....I am shocked!

I wonder if the Enquirer will do a good job on this case. They did excellent coverage in the OJ case.

I read somewhere that he fell apart when they started planning the funeral. They did a lot of the raising of Caylee and she lived in their home so they were no doubt as close to her as if she had been theres.

Planning a funeral is pure hell because you are so numb that you can't think straight and then you have to attend to all of these details and do all of these things. It seems to me that George and Cindy would have picked out the jewelry together. I don't think they were buying some I think it was probably jewelry that Caylee already had. Maybe some of her favorite. I can't imagine planning a funeral for a little tiny 2 year old. How heartbreaking. No wonder George fell apart. I think I would too.

I think GA's breakdown was the result of many stressors-

Caylee missing for six months
The media/crowds/attention
Pressure from Cindy
The location of Caylee's remains
His strong suspicion that Casey did this and is facing prison/death penalty
Planning the funeral
Details of the conditions of and things found w/ remains


Think about it- much of what was released as having been found gives us cause for speculation- for the Anthonys, these items may recall memories. The Winnie the Poo blanket, the sticker, etc. It has to hurt tremendously.

I believe he said the same thing on trutv today-didn't believe it either!

I remember Conway on Banfield and Ford saying that he gets the info and then he feeds it to George and Cindy a little at a time so they can take it in a little at a time. I think he said that George hadn't heard about the latest before he decided he didn't want to live anymore.

Ashley Banfield also asked him why the Anthonys don't visit Casey. Conway said that they don't their every conversation recorded and given to the media. He said it is a little of each person including Baez that thinks it is best if the family stays away. Who knows what the real truth is. Ashley asked "well it is their daughter and they love her so can't they just go and tell her that the love and miss her?" Attorneys have ways of circling questions without giving an answer. I don't believe she received one.

So LE showed the A's the actual heart sticker? That means Cindy must have recognized it, too, then. Wonder why it affected George so severely, and not her?

Because George has a conscience and after five and a half months of suppressing it to keep peace with the missus, it burst free is my humble guess. I hope he stays in hospital until he's strong enough to emerge strong.

Sez- what set George off was reality, G+C have been played by Casey for over 6 months. They so desperately wanted to believe that what Casey was saying was true. They had hung onto the belief that Caylee was kidnapped, and when the information was released the day before he left I for one think that is what "set him off", the items that where found came from their house not the "babysitters" and that tells him that his daughter is the one that is responsible for Caylee's demise. He cannot come to grips with the fact that his "child" could/would do such a thing.

They did not show anything to them, imo. I don't believe after they found Caylee's body they shared such information which would be considered critical to the case.

I agree. If they had shown or mentioned the heart sticker to the A's, GA would have had his breakdown more than a month ago.

I believe the A's heard it on the news just like the rest of us.

Maybee the didn't show them the actual sticker, but maybee they did show them an actual picture of the sticker??

Maybe they found identical stickers at the A home on one of the several searches of the home they did after finding the remains. Lots of people use stickers as rewards for using the potty and Caylee was toilet training per Lee. They wouldn't even have to show them a picture of the actual sticker stuck to the tape, just release to the A's that a sticker found at the scene matched stickers from their home.

I actually went out and bought that rag for probably the third time during this case. I found nothing which wasn't already here that I felt was worth anything. Maybe WSers deserve that award this year (our facts and theories are more accurate). Just saying...

The journalist was probably logged on to WS while he or she was writing the article.

This article says they watched the last hearing. So I imagine at least Cindy was watching this one today.

"Conway says the Anthony’s took some time out Thursday to watch coverage of the motions hearing when they heard Casey was going to be in the courtroom. It was the first glimpse the Anthony's had of their daughter Casey since her last arrest in October.

"They were glad they got to see her," said Conway."

I think that statement by Conway is encouraging. They can love her, they can stand behind her, they can support her, they can worry about her, but yet they want to know the truth. That is quite different than much of the statements we have heard for 6 months. That tells me that they are changing their minds and I have no problem with them supporting her or standing behind her if they recognize reality.

Maybe most have it wrong. Maybe Cindy turned the corner and George was the last holdout??? Maybe he wrote that she was innocent because he can't accept what she did and Cindy has already recognized it.

Well if the sticker is what set him off, yet he professes Casey's innocence, perhaps the letter was more along the line of in his heart he can't believe Casey did it, but his head knows otherwise.

If he doesn't know by now, I'm frankly glad he is receiving psychiatric help. Both he and Cindy would be beyond delluded to believe Casey didn't do it. I do think that Cindy knows, but she just can't let herself accept it.

Maybe George is the one that hasn't accepted reality yet as so many think he is the level headed one in a way. I wonder if Cindy and Lee finally came to grasp the situation and George ran off because he can't. We have heard zilch from Cindy and it appears Conway has melted some of the resistance we have seen that they believe she didn't do it.

Yeah,if your already suffering from such a huge culmative load I can see a little detail like that would go all the way in like a knife to the heart.
Hell,I felt that way when I heard about the sticker and I didnt know Caylee.
I cant imagine if it was freighted with personal signifigance.
That would be enough to send you over the high side for sure.

Why would GA write that KC was innocent in his suicide note? Because what if she is released on some kind of technicality? Then the whole family is in danger. Again. So they are trying to stay on her good side so they don't get whacked, IMO. I shudder when I think about her "sleeping on a mattress on the floor next to CA and GA" when she was out on bail. "Because she was so scared."

cause shes damn near a sociopath herself? could that be it?

cause shes been lying the easiest and the most since they both turned to the dark side?

JMO, I don't think so, because I don't believe KC thought the body would be found. After she killed Caylee, she gave her a "kiss off" for good, then out of sight, out of mind.

ITA....he so reminds me of Casey...with different stories every day thinking we won't remember he said something different the day before.

What's telling to me, is that it was "rumored" that Casey said something to the effect of "oh, God this can't be happening" when Caylee was found. (IIRC, this was from Tim Miller thru poster "Friday").
She needed sedation, but not psych hold. Yet, her dad is in a hospital from a suicide attempt because of all they've been thru....and as reported, he may be having an extended stay somewhere close to home. I don't know about you, but IF my child was supposedly murdered at the hands of someone I knew and "loved and trusted with my child", I'd be in worse shape than George....I'd be fileing my plastic utensils into something to kill myself. God help this family if they're withholding evidence to prevent Casey from being convicted. AND...BTW, screw the obstruction charges...I'd be telling EVERYTHING to LE after my grand child/neice was found under those horrific circumstances.

ETA : Even BEFORE Caylee was found...from the get go I'd be talkin to LE....there would be no reason for me to worry about "obstruction" charges.
