AL is coming up on the Today Show. More of the same "Junk Science", "phony evidence" and "It will come out at trial" BS, I'm sure.

Good point - I have not listen to the interview- but- I also find it odd that she mentioned that throwing a witch in water to see if she would float was used at the Salem Witch Trails to determine guilt, because it is completely untrue. That means of seeing if someone was a witch was used in parts of Europe in the middle ages. but not during the SWT. So, why did she state that when even basic reading of the history would show that she was just displaying her ignorance? Is it connected in some way?

I think the "dunking" was done in Virginia. I lived in Virginia Beach in the 60's and there was a road called Witch Dunk Road along side a large body of water and that is what I had heard while I lived there. They would tie you to a chair and dunk you in the water, if you float or get away, you're a witch. If you sunk....well, let's say it was not particularly good news either. I have not heard of them doing that in Salem and I live in CT now.

How can she say there is no evidence of a homicide? That is not going to go very far with jurors. Dr. G ruled that Caylee's death was a homicide. Two year olds don't just die for no reason.

I wonder if Mrs. Lyons is a bit pissed that her book was turned into the Casey Anthony Show?

I wonder that also. :twocents: if not for Casey AL would not be very well known. She now will probably (unfortuantly) will sell alot more books and gain alot more media exposure.

Well, I guess they have dropped the SODDI defense because "there is no evidence of a homicide." I can see KC now banging her head against the wall, "I never should have used the duct tape."

That or, they will try to play this one off as an accident of sorts..
This way, they can continue to say that Casey didn't "kill' her daughter..

If so, I can't wait to hear their lame explanation of the cover up of an accident..:bang:

What a coincidence that she would take on the job of head council in a death penalty case knowing she was going to be publishing her book on that very topic during the litigation of that case. She is on record for having a complete distain for the death penalty in general but shouldn’t be concentrating on why CASEY should not get the DP? It seems her fight to abolish the DP belongs in a different venue. By the way Andrea, we know what KILL means, you don’t have to keep reminding us of that. After all, that is why we are all here.

This was probably the most laughable thing she said, IMO. As you said, Dr. G ruled it a homicide. Now, since they are likely going to say Dr. G was mistaken and it wasn't homicide -- they are obviously going to try to say it was an accident, right? But, how can you fit the duct tape and triple bagging in? I am sooooo curious to see what direction they are going to spin this.

And I really hope when it comes time for JS to decide on the COV, he replays all the many, many, many media blitzes JB & crew have done and reminds them they have been on NATIONAL tv shows. THEY are keeping this in the forefront of the NATION and there aren't going to be many people who haven't heard the details because of the DEFENSE.

I think she could have said *I am here to promote my book not to discuss the upcoming trial I am involved in* KWIM? Showboating all the way for these people in my opinion.

Andrea (hand up and waving - pick me!) If it wasn't homicide and you're having difficulty saying it was an accident - I bet I know what you've decided to say at the trial.
Crib Death! Right?????:banghead:

I got the same vibe listening to the interview today - I almost felt as if Ms. Lyons was hinting that she was told what happened and KC didn't murder Caylee. Therefore, accident.

Sounds like a perfect little project for KB or one of her associates. Putting all those soundbites together from the begining to the end. Title it, "Taxpayers this is why JB wants at COV at your expense."

I love it already.

I thought it was odd that AL said "She did'nt kill that kid."
What a crude remark to make about a beautiful little murdered child unless
she was trying to minimize the fact that KC often referred to Caylee as that kid.
Similar to the Anthony's tatoos if you know what I mean.

Oh, totally! :thumb: Something tells me she just maybe on this already!

Couldn't you just see it at the hearing . . . JS playing a lengthy video of all the defenses spewing and saying "And, who was it that fought the gag order the prosecution wanted?". Maybe he could throw in a "The only tainting that's been done is by the defense. You made your bed, now lie in it"

Sounds somewhat detached to me.

Yeah! Child. Kid. IMO AL is cold blooded and I will never understand how defense attorneys do what they do. I hope that when the prosecutors talk about Caylee they will say *2 year old Caylee* and I hope her age and name are said as much as possible.

I won't be buying that book...........
I do have an uncle that buys books at the dollar store.
It probably will end up there in a couple years, and he will
buy it and pass it around then I will read it, if not totally disgusted
with this woman.
She turns me off from the first time I saw her, nothing to do with KC really.

Did anybody catch this part, about 1:30 into the NBC clip, where Kerry Sanders is talking:

Andrea Lyon is a professor at Depaul University in Chicago, where, as part of their coursework, she has upwards of a DOZEN students also working on this case.

Loved that Kerry brought up one of her inflammatory comments, wish he would have gotten a couple more in. Too profane I guess. :)

I did.

In my opinion it was the dedication of Dershowitz's brilliant students that got von Bulow off the hook (REVERSAL OF FORTUNE is the name of the book and movie about the true case).

I didn't think AL's voice rang with much conviction when she said KC didn't kill her kid. She kind of choked the words out.
