Nerve damage and neuropathy can cause bad pain. She's complained of pain. True paralysis would have to come from spinal nerves or motor neurons in the brain, imo. My husband has spinal damage and most muscles in one leg do not work, but he has partial feeling and use of some upper leg and buttock muscle and can walk. It doesn't cause weakness, it's paralysis. I wonder if her bladder is working. We'll never know that probably.
