She even tried to get her father to take the rap for her, he said no he was just kidding he said like all good parents " I wish I could take this off you" she then said her own son killed Abe. I have had enough of this chick!

Wow I never knew a judge could admonish a defendant for crying in court. Heck if I was in DM's shoes I'd be crying a river every day. This judge is really short on sympathy. Isn't he supposed to be impartial at this point?

It's actually not too unusual for a Judge to do that. The belief is the person crying may be trying to influence a jury to reach a verdict based on emotions instead of the facts as presented.

I don't remember the room # now, but I think it was 53A or 53B. I parked at the Twiggs St. Parking Garage - a city garage - and I got to pay with a credit card. $7 for 5 hours or more.
Leaving the garage you go left and cross the street at the crosswalk and enter the Courthouse at the Twiggs Street entrance. You'll go through a metal detector.
Take either the escalator or the elevator to the 2nd floor. Watch for the sign for the overpass that goes over the street to the building across the steet and take that.
Once in the building across the street, take the elevator to the 5th floor. Bathrooms are across from the elevator. Turn left off the elevator and the Courtroom will be on your right.
As long as you are quiet, you can enter and leave anytime. Court starts at 8:30am tomorrow, but if you are late you can still go in.
At lunchtime they send everyone out and they close and lock the doors until just before Court is to start again.
In the building where you originally go in with the metal detectors, there is a cafeteria on the second floor. They have good egg salad sandwiches. There are also vending machines there.
You will not be able to see anything on the monitor as it faces the spectators, so if they put an Exhibit up on the monitor, you don't see it.
There is a board that looks like a sound board on the left in the Courtroom with a man operating it. That, I believe, is Tampa Bay Times livestreaming.
There is a camera in the front row, I believe, with an Asian woman and a man. The guard told me that was In Session taping the show.
Hope that helps. I'd like to hear your impressions when you return.
I want to be there if and when Howard Stitzel takes the stand.

Susan1, did you see any evidence of 48 hrs or ID Discovery TV there to do a story? I hope that someone does a piece on TV or write a book. I'm finding it hard to keep up at this point - just so much to read.

Maybe you will write a book? Thanks to all of you who have researched and published so much here.

Even Stephen King couldn't write something so diabolical?

Just one more question, can anyone tell me what the nature of Moore's comments were on websleuths? Did it seem she was trying to get information about how much others knew?

I do too I want to know what makes her tick or what her deal is with the greed. I was arguing with the hubby about what makes a person like this. I remember my mom always telling me " we dont have the money" and then when I grew up a friend's hubby told her never to say that to a child . I guess he was afraid his kids would think they didnt have enough money to live on. Makes sense even though I never thought that. So it makes me wonder what her childhood was like, was she deprived or spoiled? I read the mothers statement that she also worked with DD at some nursing staff Veterans office and was fired for miss appropriating funds. She had no idea this was the reason as DD kept it from her, she thought they were fired due to lack of business or the fire they suspect DD started. Interesting...

I came to websleuths because of the attention it was given during the Brandon Scott Lavergne case. I know Brandon's family and could not for the world believe that he was capable of committing such horrific crimes. What, a serial killer in our small town?!!! I found it hard to believe even when all the facts were presented. Now I believe he is guilty of the murder of Mickey Schunick and Lisa Pate and probably many more. How does a person become like that? And how do they go on living in our midst without suspicion? How can they live their lives as though nothing has happened. I'm still dumbfounded and want to believe that it's unnatural for ALL to do these things, but for some it doesn't seem so hard.

I guess this is a case where Mr. Shakespeare's generosity has cost him his life. Undoubtedly he was a kind man who wanted to help others and someone took advantage of that.

Also, I do not think LE would have solved the crime without the posts on Tigerdroppings.com and websleuths so kudos where they are due.

Good morning!

I guess Smith will be back on the stand this morning for cross. The next logical witness would seem to be Detective Wallace since Smith always reported to him immediately after having met with and recorded his and Dee Dee's conversations. The audio tapes where Dee Dee thinks she is talking to the 'fall guy' should be extremely interesting. She will start the waterworks during that one too, I betcha.

So far Dee Dee has caused some sort of drama every day in the courtroom whether it be medical or tears (for herself), or even as a poster on here stated "her facial rodeo'!

This has been the most tedious trial I have ever tried to listen to, but I would not miss it for the world! Justice for Abraham Shakespeare, and his Mom!

Good morning all,

Didn't hear back from Gloria Gomez, but it was a funky e mail addy. They are saying on Myfoxtampabay this morning that the trial will probably go at least another week beyond the original 2 weeks they had anticipated.

I did not see Discovery TV or 48 hours there, but In Session is taping the show for viewing at a later date. If you see an Asian woman with long black hair near the front row next to a camera, I was told by the guard that is who she was with.
As far as a book, in my opinion, the best person to write that book would be Merissa Green. I believe that it was her interview of Dorice Moore shortly after Abraham was reported missing and her in depth interviews that really brought this story to the public's attention. http://www.theledger.com/article/20091204/NEWS/912049955 There was even an interview you can listen to the audio tape of Dorice talking to Merissa and Lyle at this link: http://www.theledger.com/article/20091205/NEWS/912055047/1035/BUSINESS?p=1&tc=pg More waterworks there as well. She has also won an award for her coverage of the Abraham Shakespeare case.
Also, when Abraham Shakespeare won the lottery, she interviewed Abraham.
http://www.theledger.com/article/20070119/NEWS/701190388
So she interviewed both the victim and the killer as well as many of the other parties involved in this case. I wish she was still on the case. Jason Leary is doing a good job, but Merissa has personal contact with so many of these people, including the victim, that is brought out in her stories. She works for the Ledger as a reporter. There was another version of this audio with pictures taken during the interview, but I can't find it right now.
Since I'm at it, I found the article where it is reported that Howard Stitzel said he spoke to Abraham in October 2009, months after he was buried in April 2009. Here it is: http://www.theledger.com/article/20...?Title=Reward-Offered-For-Missing-Millionaire
It says he was doing child support work for him. He knew Abraham's voice. He'd done other work with him as well.

Just one more question, can anyone tell me what the nature of Moore's comments were on websleuths? Did it seem she was trying to get information about how much others knew?

If you want to read what Dorice wrote while she was on this site, follow these links:
http://www.websleuths.com/forums/search.php?searchid=6358233
and here:
http://www.websleuths.com/forums/search.php?searchid=6358235

Start with the post on the bottom of the page as that is the oldest and work your way up. The first link is from Thread 1 and the second is from Thread 2.

I'm impressed! They are actually live @ 8:45 this morning. The jury is on it's way in!

Just my opinion, I don't think she posted here at Websleuths because wanted to know how much others knew. I think Dee Dee just can't stand not having the last word no matter what it is.

She's obviously an habitual liar (shades of Casey Anthony, even has invisible associates), and makes up "stories" as she goes along if the person she's telling the lie to doesn't seem to believe her story. She thinks she's an author and can write a book because she's a "story teller."

IMO, her lies include; compulsive lying, deception, exaggeration, fabrication, bold-faced lie, embellishment. Add all of that to being a master con artist who thinks she's smarter than the average bear and you got Dee Dee Moore.

Greg Smith is being cross examined by defense who is pushing the point that Greg Smith received a default letter on the mortgage for his house and stating they were going to foreclose. Greg Smith says he was never behind. It appears the defense is trying to show Greg Smith has a reason to be angry with Dorice. But what difference does it make why he did it? It was Dorice who dug her own grave no matter why Greg Smith helped law enforcement.
Greg Smith was convicted of 5 felonies and 1 other crime of dishonesty, he testified.

Witness: Moore asked for help in moving lottery winner's body

In Tuesday's testimony, Smith said Moore brought him a .38-caliber revolver, the weapon detectives said killed Shakespeare. He said Moore wanted him to file the serial number off the gun and get rid of it.

A few days later, she then showed him where Shakespeare was buried, Smith said, and drew a diagram in a notebook explaining to Smith how he had to dig at an angle to get under the concrete slab, then straight down to get to the body.

"She said I would see a white substance—lime," Smith said. "She said lime is what they put on cattle to eat the body."

Even if they show that Greg Smith has a criminal background, that he hated Dorice and that he was doing this to get even with her, what does it matter when it is still Dorice who had the murder weapon and Dorice who showed him where the body is and Dorice who wrote the 2 page letter and it is all on tape with her voice. It doesn't matter how credible he is because in the tapes, she speaks for herself.
