Now we have a #4 and maybe #5, from the video I just posted---- Mom saw her when she got up to make a bottle at 2- 2:30. Then mom, in her portion, said it was 3am.

Does anyone here speak Spanish and be able to translate? I am very interested in that last couple of minutes. She said a LOT, so I am sure her (very sweet and kind) translator couldn't remember everything she said. No one could.

(Im full of edits today!!!)--- a couple of new things of interest. They say the stove was on when they got up at 7am and he says he always leaves one door unlocked. That was the only thing unlocked when they got up.

I must be older than I think because when I was nine, about the latest I remember staying up was maybe 10pm in the summer. My own 10 year old now, even with school out, will call us to tuck him in close to 9pm-9:30pm. When did parents quit taking care of their children? I must have missed this new way of life during the years I was birthing babies and chasing toddlers!

People have always had different bedtimes and lifestyles, especially on holiday weekends.

per neighbor:

“So unlikely it just doesn’t make sense,” she said. “”She never goes more than four, five houses. She’s afraid to go in the woods. She’s afraid to go anywhere near the major road. This is just so wrong.”

According to a statement on the Lee County Sheriff's Office website, Diana Alvares was last seen at her home early Sunday.
The girl's mother tells the News-Press (http://newspr.es/20QwL0f ) that Diana wasn't in her bed in their mobile home later that morning.

Sunday night was the first night Rita Hernandez's daughter ever spent away from home.

She last saw her asleep in her bed at 2 a.m. Sunday. By 7 a.m., she was searching her home and calling the police. Diana Alvares, 9, remained missing late Monday

[...]

Hernandez said Diana typically played in front of the house, going no farther than each corner. Neighbors said she was attentive to her three younger siblings, and her disappearance is out of character.

Diana's stepfather, Uribe Jimenez, found it odd when he didn't hear her that morning.

"They wake up before me so I know my kids are there. Just trying to get ready for church this Saturday, I don't hear any noise, nothing. So that was too strange for me," he said.

He says there were no signs of someone breaking in.

"No, I don't see any window broke. I don't see like if somebody tried to open my door. I don't see anything, nothing like that," said Jimenez.

"She wouldn't ever leave at night. Anywhere after 9 p.m., they don't leave the house unless they're together," said Martinez. "This isn't a case where she's running from home for any reason."

I think the MaM comment is mixing the child up with another, who knows, good catch.

Frankly, I am not believing any of this 'new' information. I am only going to believe what the police have putout, and they darned sure never said any of this stuff, and it doesn't even make sense according to what her mom has said about her daughter. I don't think Diana would ever leave the house at that time of morning willingly. Its a rotten shame that the media can start these unsubstantiated rumors when they are suppose to verify everything they putout but don't. Sigh. The media seems to get worse and worse on every case lately. They don't care about the facts anymore. They just want to be first.

As for her leaving her home without any electronic devices I took that to mean at the time when she was abducted.

abc action news is the only news org stating she was walking someone home at 2am. they have offered no other coverage on this case and I personally feel their report is inaccurate.

Time will tell, but I will not be giving that report weight because none of it is sourced and that sure isn't in the Lee County Sheriff updates and releases.

Yes, I agree. And abc Action News is a Tampa Bay station.

WINK News is local to Diana, and they have not reported anything about her taking someone home at 2:00 a.m.

Why did they stop that video as she was answering the question "Was the door unlocked?" I need to see if I can find another video. Obviously, the info the parents give us from their mouths will be more accurate than MSM. This is the new info that is important, if you ask me.

Very good info in this video. At around -5:14 the reporter says "she's been missing since Sunday at 2 AM, right?"...The step father's answer (actually hand gesture and eye movements) bothers me.

No, I'm not accusing him because I was actually believing much of the story up until then but it just bugged me. Big time. I think there is obviously many pieces of this puzzle missing. I will sit back and wait to see how it all unfolds.

(Just FYI, I have been trained in many areas wrt to body language, but am not verified so this is JMO.)

But why don't they say abducted, or was taken, or even was last seen? "When she left the house" just doesn't say the same thing, in my opinion.

Another video. I am just starting to watch, but it shows the type of weather and terrain they are dealing with.

https://www.facebook.com/winknewstv/videos/10154217498374161/

I am very scared that the article tlcya posted said they are focusing on the swampland. I am also concerned that they report they always leave that door unlocked. That means anyone who frequents the home knows that. The stove being on could signify her fighting on her way out and grabbing or kicking the knob. None of it sounds good.

My kids will at times stay up until 11-12 am when on summer vacation and we don't have nothing to do the next day. My 11 year lasts until maybe 11:30. My 5 year old drops at 9:30.

I am currently on sick leave. When I work, my kids go to summer camp and we are all in bed by 8 pm then.

While I tend to agree that ABC's story about Diana walking someone home at 2 in the morning isn't true, I still want to know where that info came from. I mean, it's so OUT THERE and not even close to what the parents say happened.

I'm first in line to not trust MSM, but seriously? Why that story? Where did it come from?

About this video--- its running slow, so the 8 minute video will take me 80 LOL. They are having to use machetes, which makes you think that it would be too hard for a human to go in there. Do y'all think there is a reason they are searching (like phone pings) or are they just searching close areas?

Okay so I'm very chatty tonight, it seems.

It's so frustrating and disheartening to me that there is virtually no activity on this case right now in SM. Twitter is pretty much silent and it's even too quiet in here.

Even just a few years back, when a child went missing these threads would be filled with people immediately. And I mean tons of people. Are we just getting so used to it that it doesn't even register as a shock anymore? :(

I do understand that it's a holiday but I have been noticing this for some time now.

I hope and pray they find this little one.

There's not a lot to say. We don't even have enough information to do much sleuthing.

Mom just doesn't understand why her daughter is missing. When she got up at 2-2:30 to feed the baby, she checked on the kids. A boy and a girl share a room. She checked on them. Then she went to see Diana and she was uncovered. She covered her with the blanket (I take it it's the missing blanket). Then she went back to bed. She woke up at 6:55 to wake the kids up to go to church. She noticed that all of the stove was on (I take it to mean all burners ). She checked the doors. Concerned that something was wrong. She checked on the kids. The two were in their room. She went to check on the oldest and found that she was not there.

I did noticed that the translator was adding info and was not asking the same questions that were asked.

Please note all this is MOO!

Stepdad said on his video that all windows and doors were locked EXCEPT for the door outside his bedroom door. He always leaves that door unlocked.
