Same content as link above, with video of Jeff Hall's comments.

Just my opinion, but despite whatever troubles they had between them, I think Jeff is sincere about going the distance for her and her legacy to his children. Nine years. God bless them all for keeping this flame alive. This family deserves closure.

Oh Brandy, I wish you could be brought home. So sad, breaks my heart.
Godspeed Brandy

Lawyers have a job to do for their clients and they do it, but just sometimes...

(bolded by me)
For many years now, Mr. Richmond has been interviewed and re-interviewed by law enforcement and has been subject to public scrutiny,” Landman said. “In the end, there is not a scintilla of real evidence (other than speculation and innuendos) that he had anything to do with Ms. Hall's alleged disappearance.”

Alleged? Really? So Randal's lawyer doesn't accept Brandy has really disappeared?

Off topic, but has anyone here heard of infamous former policeman Drew Peterson?

What I found interesting is that he murdered his third wife when he had an affair, and got away with it. Until his mistress Stacy - by then his wife - wanted to leave him and told her lawyer that Peterson confided in her about the murder.

That statement helped bring about Peterson's conviction for murder of his third wife. Sadly, it came too late for Stacy, who by then had gone missing under extremely suspicious circumstances. I fear she learnt two things too late:
1) Partners who are unfaithful once can often be unfaithful again
2) Partners who kill one lover or spouse, sometimes kill again

It must be so worrying to live with a partner you suspect has murdered a former partner or lover, and even worse to separate from them if they've confided in you about the murder. I'd have thought you'd be forever fearing they would decide you were too much of a risk to leave alive, in case you talked.

By the way, don't the media articles keep referencing Randal Richmond's then wife? As though they are now divorced? Wonder what relations are like between them now, and if he has a new partner?

Brandy's pickup was a big vehicle to push into a pond. Wonder if there's a slope around it, or if someone had to drive the vehicle into the water and exit by the window before it sank completely? You'd need a cool head and a level of physical fitness to do that.

You'd also get wet. And so either returned home wet, or got changed and went home in different clothes to the ones you left in. That's something a partner at home might notice, I would have thought?

I think Brandy's body wasn't left in the truck because whoever murdered her knew that bodies are preserved much better in water than say, buried in woods somewhere. So they must have feared they'd left evidence on or in her body that could link back to them. That makes me wonder if there's a possibility Brandy's killer raped her before she died, and if the 'medications' stolen included the contraceptive pill? Kept as some twisted trophy/remembrance of her?

I find it hard to believe they can't get RR's DNA. A paper cup, door handle of his vehicle, etc. That's all they need at this point.

actually i read that bodies decompose fastest in fresh water. then land, then salt water. they did an experiment at the body farm in san marcos TX

Bumping for Brandy

From December:

A Christmas reminder: Missing firefighter Brandy Hall

http://www.floridatoday.com/story/news/local/john-a-torres/2015/12/17/torres-brandy-hall-christmas-reminder/77422926/

The yellow sticker affixed to the front of Friday's newspaper is rare in that no one is trying to sell you something.

On the contrary, the retired detective who purchased the ad is hoping it will buy something precious – peace for the family of Brandy Hall.

"I hope people will place the sticker on the fridge or mirror and realize that not only is Brandy missing another holiday but also thousands of persons throughout the United States are also unaccounted for," said retired detective Sid LaDow, one of several retired and active law enforcement officers who voluntarily work the case of the missing firefighter.

And that leads us to the yellow sticker in the front of today's paper, which in turn leads back to Sid LaDow.

He wouldn't let me use his name during a story I wrote about the case last summer and I had to persuade him for weeks to let me use it this time. The retired detective is not comfortable in the spotlight. He has made Brandy Hall his only case, the last case he'll work.

Over the years LaDow has grown close to Hall's family, celebrating holidays and birthdays with her children and husband. It's that passion, that obsession that will hopefully yield the peace the Hall family so desperately needs.

"I will quit the day Brandy is found," LaDow said, "or the day the Good Lord claims me first."

Ten years later, Brandy Hall's family holding memorial

http://www.floridatoday.com/story/news/2016/08/16/ten-years-later-brandy-halls-family-holding-memorial/88835648/

For police, it's been 10 years of failed leads, hundreds of pages of notes and a lack of any substantial evidence to figure out what may have happened to the 32-year-old mother of two. This year, the ones who knew Hall are deciding to focus on what they do know: she may be gone, but she will not be forgotten.

Hall was declared legally dead last August after her family members petitioned the court. The amount of blood found in her vehicle implied this was likely true, according to police reports.

“It wasn’t really closure and it wasn’t really moving on, it was just something that we felt was necessary after nine years,” said Taylor Hall, Brandy’s daughter and the oldest of her two children.

Taylor, 20, along with family friends TJ Sherwood and Cindy Farrington, are hosting a memorial event this Saturday at the park behind the Malabar Volunteer Fire Department from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Despite the haze still surrounding this 10-year-old case, Farrington stresses that Saturday’s memorial event is meant to honor Hall’s life, not clarify her death.

“It’s not a gathering to point fingers or place blame, it’s to remember her and maybe someone will come forward so her kids can get closure,” Farrington said. “This whole thing this weekend is so people don’t forget.”

Woods being searched for Brandy Hall's remains

More than 12 years after the 32-year-old mother-of-two vanished, the search for Brandy Hall continues.

On Wednesday, several groups with cadaver dogs, numerous volunteers, a noted forensic anthropologist, Brandy's mother and daughter and private investigator Nicolas Sandberg will begin searching wooded areas and wetlands in the Palm Bay area hoping to find any clue that may solve the mystery.

Went to get my oil changed today after a dental appointment in Palm Bay. I used to live here years ago but live more south now just never gave up certain regular spots here, hence dentist here lol. saw this waiting in line on the fence behind the garage. As a regular on this site of course I immediately came here to search her name.

I had never heard of her and reading up now. :(

Omg

I’m in shock. I use to live right down the street from this pond her truck was found. How did I never hear of this??

I'd never heard of this case either until today.
