What does she have up to her ear? is she on the phone?

I believe it's a listening device to amplify testimony and/or to allow her to listen to side bars.
It's a defendants right to hear all side bars.

I would imagine she's pretty keen on what her ex-husband has to say. It seems to me that she always held his opinion in high regard, can't see why that would stop now.

I am deeply saddened for Colonel Schenecker. While serving his country, he lost those which he treasured most in life. As Cuckoohead said, I agree he is falling on his military training to refrain from showing emotion. How hard this must be for him. I truly hope he has found some happiness since. JMV

Between the time of the murders and taking to her slumber on the floor of the lanai, we now know that most of that time was creating post-it notes. She probably would have created and affixed more had she not been high on spritzers and pills and drowsiness.

The defense team hopefully doesn't go full throttle on PS. Like you said, he lost those which he treasured the most.

I think he went way beyond what I would have done. I'd have been fed up long before and put both kids in a boarding school and started divorce proceedings by leaving her a post it note stuck to one of her wine bottles that read 'color me gone'.

As a person who lost someone very close to me, 11 years ago today in fact, sometimes the pain is just too great to allow it to surface.
Unbearable doesn't even begin to describe the pain in your heart.
I think he is doing remarkably well considering the reality of his situation. He is sitting in a courtroom testifying in a murder trial for his ex-wife who murdered his two beloved children. Three people he loved were taken from him that day, everything he knew was just. gone.
Military training or not, you find a way to put those feelings away and you just can't allow yourself to revisit them. It's just simply too much.

I think they are going to--I think they will blame him for leaving the kids in her care. :moo:

"You're a failure, " written by #JulieSchenecker says Parker

Camera was on the defendant before jury came in and she looks pissed about something. Was talking to the attorney/mitigation specialist??(not sure who she is) on her right in the cream jacket, and while the lady was talking to her, a nugget of some kind flew out of the lady's mouth..she got distracted by it and got giggle out of it. Defendant turned to speak to attorney on her left, i couldn't read her lips, but she was scowling toward the stand.
I'm assuming she's miffed about something regarding PS's testimony.
I rewound it to try to read her lips, but her mouth movements are very odd when she speaks. I could tell she had to repeat the same sentence twice to the attny, but I couldn't even make out one blasted word!
I think it's quite amazing how much her face changes when she smiles. She looks like a completely different person.

Parker and #JulieSchenecker were writing in the journal a little bit together on how to deal with strained relationship with mom/daughter

Parker Schenecker testifies he saw #JulieSchenecker in Feb. 2011. She said to him: "I guess I stomped your heart flat, huh?"

heartless

PS did meet with his wife after her arrest. Did anyone catch what JS said? Something like 'you stopped my heart dead out'??

Parker spoke to #JulieSchenecker after murders. she said "I guess I stopped her heart flat didn't I?"

Typical yet odd flat affect from husband of Julie S. Answers every ? with Sir, and he is long out of the military. Everyone in my family is gov or military in some form...and I am seeing a flat affect from him. Could be to temper on the stand...his personality I dk yet. Monotone, flat affect...take note.

Again, there is no Reason to address him with SIR with EVERY Question he answers. The truth is in the details no matter how small. This is the first chance we get to see husb; and his demeanor except for a few interviews I think I saw; that also set me off. Dont mind me...I read body lang and voice...and I hear things literally that I'm not liking here.

I don't thing he's "long" out of the military -- he was serving as recently as 2011, and had been in the military all his life. Plus, the "sir" thing is a southern thing....

but the flat affect...I also picked that up from the tone of his emails to his wife -- quite impersonal, most of them, and also a bit harsh...sounds as if he thought she should just snap out of it and pull herself out of her depression by her bootstraps...I know overall he was very concerned for her and the rest of the family...but still...

...of course, flat affect could be due to all the pain he'd gone through ...losing his kids...probably blaming himself...trying to hold it together in the courtroom
