First article to mention autism. Anyone else find further MSM that confirms this please advise. She likes bright lights however autistic children tend to have a fascination for water too.

This one mentions the autism too. Is that considered an msm source?

But it doesn't seem to be in any other article on the tc palm... So I'm not sure

This makes me sick to my stomach since I have a non-verbal 4 year old with autism. My worst nightmare.

I can't believe they still haven't found her :(

I feel awful for the family, it sounds like she wasn't out of their sights for more than a few minutes and LE was quickly one scene.

It looks like a lot of water within a very short walking distance along with a couple of wooded areas that would easily camouflage a wandering child.

BBM- I wonder how many homes in the area have their Christmas lights up and on right now and if that might be what drew her out of the house?

I don't know how all you mamas with little ones stomach these threads!!

Oh, heartbreaking, but at least they managed to find her. Rest in peace little one.

Her poor, poor family. My heart goes out to them.

:( Rest in peace, little angel.

Rest in peace, little one. I pray for her family. :(

This may help ease that anxiety. I wish this was more well known. Please check into this! My nephew is high functioning but loves to wander and will not respond to strangers calling his name. His mama helped get this set up in their town and it's been so helpful!!

Our area doesn't have a free program for this. So far, my son is not a wanderer. But I am considering an AngelSense monitor when he starts all-day school in a couple years. Even if he still isn't a wanderer at that time...I think it would be worth it, just in case.

Rest in peace baby girl Chelsea. :heartbeat: Praying for her family!

OMG how sad for this family! I was worried with the amount of gators in the area that they wouldn't find her so there is small consolation that they have their daughter back for a proper burial. Just so sad.
