I just hope the judge if it gets that far has more caring for the 2 helpless children then a 45 yr old with an awful parenting history! Don't forget there was a father who spend years and a ton of money fighting to save his daughter.

He tells me Jarreau's accusations are challis and cold. And claims Jarreau offered him money to adopt his daughter.

Negatives are flying from both sides.

Ugh, that man and RP need to go the hell away! Cherish is dead and he has some nerve bashing the only decent parent she had. I'm so sick of fail parents ... so very sick! Guess he thinks they should get a pass on Cherish's death and should be allowed to risk the others as well? I'm disgusted with these two.

Negatives are flying from both sides.

When the negatives are flying from a father who lost primary custody, who was deemed the safer parent, toward the parent who handed their child off to a stranger, a mom who sent an old man to a fitting room with her daughter, I'm going to give that bio dad a pass.

I'm going to take AP's version of events with a very large grain of salt, and at the same time, pull on my hip waders.

We know for a fact via court records that Billy fought for custody for Cherish. Yet, were to believe (ON AP"s word only!) that BJ tried to 'sell off' Cherish to AP? We're to believe (NO court documents, just AP's word) that at the same time BJ was fighting for custody (proven by court records) BJ was trying to sell Cherish to AP?

IMO, what appears cold and callous (word I think the journalist meant to use in place of challis, which is fabric or cup) is not standing by your girlfriend's side while she's at her baby's funeral. It's not showing up at the funeral of the child you allegedly helped raise since they were 10 months old.

ETA: I know, I know, I'm giving myself a time out on this thread. I shall remain silent until there is new news regarding the perp/hearings or custody issues on the remaining children.

I do not know if court dockets are allowed to be linked here or not. Many times you cannot see everything by the dockets, one would have to read the entire file. I am not siding with anyone here except cherish and the other two little children. I want the remaining two to be safe. I also do not want to see them lose their entire family in one fell swoop. I hope rayne can turn this around. I relate to the mother due to similar circumstances (loss of child) but our cases are apples and oranges.

I have just seen a lot in msm and online that makes me realize these kids were doomed in a way from the start (maybe not the loss of life as what happened to cherish). This is all my opinion based on research of ALL the players in this case and based on everything that is available online including the court documents.

It's sad to read about Cherish's sisters being removed from the home. I too hope that Rayne can get the help she needs to be reunited with the girls.

The girls need their mother and stability and I really hope Rayne can do whatever is needed to get her kids back.

Quick question: I'm not seeing a thread for DS in the 'awaiting trial' forum, am I missing it, or is there not one for him? Is he not awaiting trial?

I don't think he has been to court yet. He has only made one appearance for the charges. i think the next court date is later this month. Ill try to find it.

I'll agree with this:

Girls need a mother who is stable.

Both the father and the grandfather of Cherish Perrywinkle’s two sisters are vowing to win custody of the girls who were taken weeks after Cherish’s abduction and death.

His custody case plan from the Department of Children and Families calls for him to attend parenting classes twice a week, keep a steady job, rent a two-bedroom apartment, receive grief counseling and pass a psychological evaluation.

It is really upsetting to think that the man who was unwilling to attend her funeral yet had no issue running to the media to bad mouth her father could be allowed to raise her sisters. That man is no more fit than the mother that allowed a sex offender to walk off with her.

This is why I made my last comment. Msm mentioned their court case so i searched for both of them, then cross checked other names that popped up. I don't think cherish or her sisters stood much of a chance because in reading the bashing back and forth the only one who has refrained from bashing is rayne. I have not read one single article where mom bashed fiance or Bio dad. But we do see dad complaining about mom, fiance complaining about Bio dad. These things are horrible for children All I saw saw was back and forth. Jmo I hope the two little girls can be made whole again, or as whole as possible. I don't see it though.

BBM: That's all it is to them...WINNING, a game, $ to line their pocket. These are young children who have lived in filth and scum, going hungry and not taken care of properly. NOW, they want them? Why didn't they take care of the children when Cherish was around? This, so called step-father is not believable at all! There is NO way that Billy said he would sell his daughter! He still has the same attorney and was fighting like hell to get his daughter out of there!

The court evaluator was right and Billy should have had custody all along. I hope and pray CPS does not allow the two other children to be used as pawns. They can't even take care of themselves, how can they take care of the children? I hope CPS takes a longggggg time to decide this and keeps their eyes on the children the entire time. This is not a game! One child is dead, there are two others are at risk. At least, give them a chance in life. JMO

"Cherish and her mother were shopping for clothes the night before the 8-year-old was scheduled to fly to California for the summer.
A trip to see her father, Billy Jarreau. A trip she never got to make.
“He was going to pick her up at six in the morning and instead he received a phone call from detectives that they found his daughter dead,” said Gerald Wilkerson, Jarreau’s attorney. "

BBM. If Cherish was supposed to be picked up by her dad at 6am, then WTF was Rayne doing with her out at 11pm? How was Rayne going to get Cherish to the airport if Rayne didn;t have a car and didnt have the money to take a cab?? I want to know because it looks like Rayne had no intention of putting Cherish on that flight. There is more to this that Rayne is telling.

Wow. Jinx! Great minds...:seeya:

His father and the girls’ grandfather, 65-year-old Tom Pearson, said he feels well-equipped to take care of the girls financially and emotionally.

“I am trying to get custody of my grandbabies,” he said.

He said he had offered to temporarily take the girls after Cherish died so Perrywinkle could have time to grieve, but she got upset at him for suggesting it. Tom Pearson said he’s wanted to get custody of the girls for a while.

“The kids were always in danger over there,” he said, noting that Perrywinkle and his son often argued. “I want the best for her, I really do. But not right now. Not with my grandkids.”

Eh.

Did he report the constant danger the children were in to the appropriate authorities?

The parenting plan for AP calls for holding a steady job. Is he currently employed? What line of work is he in?

Edit: should have read further along

Aharon Pearson said he has been working as a window cleaner for about five months.

is that the sum total of his work experience or just the latest job?

i don't think a 65 yr old man is the best caretaker for these young kids right now. I think they should consider the older sister in Australia. She seems like a better fit for young girls that would miss their mother. JMO

“The kids were always in danger over there,”

We have to, number one, make sure the children are going to be safe, they’re going to be cared for, they’re going to be protected,” he said. “If you have a case where the children may be familiar with a certain person, then that needs to be taken into consideration, too

Seems to me, the spokesman for DCF may want to review what he stated. Familiar and safe do not go together in this case. The people most familiar to them also kept them in danger, imo.
