Per my notes on his bond:

Bond $45K accessory ($15K for each count), $1K for tampering & $500 ($250 for each count) for nuisance. Bonded out, all Surety bonds @ $46,500 on 8/7/20. Violated bond conditions, back in jail 8/20/20.

Wouldn’t the bond be satisfied when he was returned to jail? I’m not sure but I thought it could be lost if somebody runs away.

I had to look it up after I asked the question. Typically, there are two parts to a bond. The collateral for the bond which in this case would have to be valued at $45K+ and the bond premium/fee paid to the bonding agent.

It seems that Florida law provides that violating terms of release (as RW did here) can be the equivalent of failing to appear.

Determination of bail decisions

A processed bail bond in Orlando is not permanent and a court judge can cancel it for a lot of reasons. Defendants that commit another offence when they are waiting for their court date even when that initial crime has not been heard in a court will be seen as violating the bail bond agreement and so they will be re-arrested most times. Also, defendants may be required by law not to go near the victim of their crimes or the plaintiff.

If a bail is revoked, there is a chance that the bail bondsman may be unable to get their money back. Upon revocation, the defendant can decide to go to the court and explain why his bail should not be revoked. The judge will then make a decision if the court will give them back the money.

The court however will still deduct the applicable fines and penalties that are accrued and return the rest to the defendant. In some occasions, the remnant of the bail amount will be forfeited to the court.

It doesn't appear from @Niner's updates that the problem with Tony's counsel addressed yet. I'm thinking the hearing scheduled for 5/20/21 was probably continued.

ETA: I just read the motion and Tony's lawyer is requesting to be removed as attorney of record -- he won't be back and the accused will need a new appointment. More delays...

I don't see a motion to withdraw as counsel on 5/19 on his docket for murder, but on the firearms charge & aggravated assault & battery. Maybe the attorney for the murder charge is taking those over?

A Florida woman will spend three years in prison for setting up a fraudulent account for the families of three murder victims.

Amanda Lynn Brown was sentenced late last month to three years in prison, PEOPLE confirms. She was also ordered to pay back the money she received.

Brown, 33, said she was raising money for the families of Kevin Springfield, Brandon Rollins and Damion Tillman - three friends who were beaten and shot while on a fishing trip last year.

According to documents obtained by The Lakeland Ledger, Brown did not give money to any of the victims' families. Instead, police say she used the funds to go on shopping sprees, send herself cash via Paypal and pay her utility bills.

Judge denies bond for William Wiggins in connection to triple murder

BARTOW – William "Robert" Wiggins, who faces charges related to the July 2020 triple slaying of three friends at a lake in Frostproof, was denied bond Tuesday by a judge who noted he had repeatedly violated court orders by communicating with his older brother, the accused gunman.

"There is no way to ensure the integrity of the judicial process under pretrial release conditions because Mr. Wiggins was being held under pretrial order and continued to violate the order of the court while in custody” Gravitt said Tuesday. “If he can't follow the order of the court while he’s in custody, I certainly have no assurance that he would follow it if he was out of custody.”
