Judge denies bond for William Wiggins in connection to triple murder

BARTOW – William "Robert" Wiggins, who faces charges related to the July 2020 triple slaying of three friends at a lake in Frostproof, was denied bond Tuesday by a judge who noted he had repeatedly violated court orders by communicating with his older brother, the accused gunman.

Thanks for this update @PayrollNerd. This description of Robert while in custody is exactly what I've been envisioning! He most likely forfeited $$$ from his last bond when violating the terms of his release, don't know where/how they could afford to get him out again. MOO

Don't you just love how his father was trying to convince the court RW needed to help his father TW, Sr.? As if the two of them had done so well taking care of each other before...... and such a fine job of raising his son too... Cough, Cough, Cough. O. M. G.

Yes -- this is the same father that insisted Robert talk to his brother TJ (handing him the phone) within days after he was released on bond! :rolleyes:

*Pretrial Conference Hearing (@ 8:30am ET) - FL – Damion Allen Tillman (23) Keven Michael Springfield (30) & Brandon Cyril Rollins (27) (July 17, 2020, Frostproof) - for *William "Robert" Wiggins (21/now 22) TJ's bro arrested (7/21/20) & charged (7/23/20) with 3 counts of accessory after the fact of a capital felony & 1 count of tampering with evidence. $15K bond for accessory & $1K for tampering charge & charged (7/23/20) & indicted (9/30/20) with 2 counts of nuisance injurious to health. Plead not guilty. Bond $45K accessory ($15K for each count), $1K for tampering & $500 ($250 for each count) for nuisance. Bonded out, all Surety bonds @ $46,500 on 8/7/20. Violated bond conditions, back in jail 8/20/20.

In testimony Tuesday, Polk County Sheriff's Detective Alexander Tan said the Wiggins brothers frequently discussed the case and that the older brother & their father were attempting to apply pressure to Robert Wiggins to not testify against his brother. Tan also testified about emails between T.J. & Robert Wiggins using their mother, Kimberly Keen, as a facilitator. BARTOW — The trial of Tony Lee “T.J.” Wiggins Jr. has been set to begin April 3, 2023 by Judge Jalal Harb on Friday.

Wiggins is charged with the July 2020 shooting deaths of Brandon Rollins, Damion Tillman and Keven Springfield as they prepared to go night fishing at a Frostproof lake.


@PayrollNerd - unfortunately I can't access Polk County (again) - any new court dates for Wiggins? TIA! :)
