I think they went in to investigate her death and it lead them to something big. But what, IDK.

"I have every reason to believe that the case will come to fruition in terms of an arrest," Scott said. "And when it does, I can assure you that you and everyone else will be just as fascinated, and will fully understand why it took so long."
Scott added that due to the intricate set of circumstances surrounding the murder case, he and his department have to be very guarded in the information they release to the public, and that a "slow and steady" approach will win the race to prosecute the person, or persons, responsible."

Mike Scott

You have to see the video in this link (and not just read the news article) to pick up words and nuances from Sheriff Scott. He mentioned that this case reveals a startling set of circumstances and that when it all comes out, the public will understand why it has taken so long. He mentioned he is confident an arrest or arrests plural, and again the fascinating nature of the case, lots of physical or other evidence. These statements strongly imply there is more than one suspect.

Still feel that this murder could have occurred by a woman. Now that will surprise people wont it?

Intricate
adjective
very complicated or detailed.
"an intricate network of canals"
synonyms: complex, complicated, convoluted, tangled

Use of this word is making me think the connection btw the unsub and the victim may not have been immediately obvious; not a 'usual suspect'.

Not relevant but an interesting read re: "intricate" plots.
A Revenge Plot So Intricate, the Prosecutors Were Pawns in short, it involves a suspect who framed a woman (who accused him of rape) by spreading fake clues over time, fooling police into believing that all the evidence pointed to her in a robbery.

Yup. They may have been able to decipher the unsubs size from the victim's wounds, maybe that was the first clue that they were looking for a woman.

It would also be easier for a woman to drive the van and maybe look like the victim on traffic camera, but on second look...

In the video he says arrest or arrests plural. The plot thickens. So can we expect possibly multiple arrests ? If so, WTH happened?

I think we can almost say for sure we'll see more than one arrest. Complex, connectivity, intricate set of circumstances - all adjectives used to describe conspiracies. More specifically, language used in complaints/indictments alleging criminal conspiracy against multiple defendants.

Intricate sounds like a conspiracy of those in her systematic line of work as an holistic practicioner. Jmo.

Coworkers?

Coworkers?

Maybe coworkers, maybe a combination of coworkers and business competitors/revenge seekers? Someone with access to the victim planning, plotting, assisting but trying to distance themselves.

There is just too many coincidences that night for me to think there wasn't a conspiracy. I think the suspect, suspects will be in a very small group of people that knew she would be returning by herself. jmo

Many people on this thread seemed to lean toward the motive being personal rather than business related. However, this development of almost assuredly more than one unsub may lead us to look more closely at colleagues, professional connections, etc. From the beginning the Sheriff has used terms such as complex and connectivity. We dId not grasp that as definitive before, i.e., meaning a conspiracy or more than one unsub even though it was mentioned here and there.

I'm not sure about that or what neighbor made that statement.

Guess it may be where they (neighbors) reside exactly to see the comings and goings. PapillonLove, <modsnip> has also seen the kids in the pool swimming.

Yes, I have heard the children in the pool. I have also noticed On a handful of ocassions that there were lights on in the house. I only notice it at night since obviously during the day it's hard to tell if lights are on...

It's the hottest month of the year in Florida. It's confirmed they are "coming and going" from the residence. (mail to collect, bills to pay, personal items to retrieve, etc..) It would not be surprising to me if the kids were swimming in the pool on a hot August day while their father was doing whatever he needed to do while at the home. This case has been plastered all over the media, including the address of the home. If I were the surviving spouse and not ready to move back in, the first thing I would do is set my lights on timers so it appeared to be occupied. Heck, I might even hire a housesitter.

Staff Reminder:
We always appreciate locals and/or neighbors sharing their observations, photographs, impressions, etc... I just don't want anyone misinterpreting that anything shared here by a local and/or neighbor is to be considered factual. The neighbors that the media source cited may be as reliable as anyone sharing their observations here. They just aren't here posting. That's all. :)

Maybe they are residing there, maybe not. Clearly, the neighbors have different viewpoints of whether they are or not.

Maybe they also subliminally coaxed a deranged patient to carry it out as well. Very intricate indeed.

IMO, motive is personal and business related. Coworkers, colleagues become friends, foes.

I was thinking the same thing. It's a hot summer. So of course it makes sense for the kids to swim while dad is tending to things in the home during the day.

Plus it can help to ease the transition for the kids if hubby ever does decide to move back in when ready.

Lots seems to going on with this case ALL behind the scenes closely guarded WHICH is appropriate. Could still take some time, more than we here would like as we're anxious. But evidence, proof and The Who Done It needs to be 'right on'.

Well Im glad he said something. Makes me feel more confident there will be arrest (s). The wheels of justice seem to move so slow.

NIN, I think we needed wine today instead of tea ... this case gets more intriguing by the minute, although I haven't changed my mind on who the perp(s) may be. I still believe it has a personal/coworker connection.

I also found TS's sisters statement interesting and appears to point to doubts about LS and/or the nearby wellness clinic .. IMHO. If MS and TS's sister had confidence in the nearby wellness clinic, I think they may have referred their patients to them instead of putting them in touch with the other doctor who is doing the phone consultations. At least that's the way it appears to me.

The reporter, Katie Jones, stated that the Lee Co. Sheriff mentioned the other two doctors' deaths [Dr. Bradstreet and Dr. Henendal] with ties to FL.

http://www.scrippsmedia.com/fox4now...-doctor-deaths-raises-concerns-311847991.html

Dr. Teresa Ann Sievers' mysterious death in southwest Florida comes just weeks after a string of other deaths involving doctors from Florida who also practiced alternative medicine.

Erin Elizabeth is in a relationship with a high profile alternative medicine doctor. She says she’s a little worried about this recent trend. If it is a coincidence, it's a big coincidence" she added. Also, Dr. Patrick Fitzpatrick of N Dakota and Dr. Jeffrey Whiteside from Wisconsin are missing since June 29.

Perhaps the murder investigation is complex, filled with intricacies, and have lead the investigators to something "big". It could be that the connectivity is due to the other holistic doctors being murdered or mysteriously missing. The treatment of patients with a holistic approach cuts into the Big Pharm profits; especially if holistic cures for cancer, autism, etc were being discovered.
