It’s interesting that they keep wanting to test the tox after these negatives. Does this mean LE may have some type of knowledge that SA had ingested something and it just isn’t showing up on the tox report yet?

@PayrollNerd - when you get a chance - is there a next court hearing date yet? TIA! :)

@PayrollNerd - when you get a chance - any updates yet for this case? Last hearing was on 6/28/24. TIA! :)

The Miami-Dade Medical Examiner’s Office has ruled the deaths of 3-year-old twins found unresponsive in an SUV on Interstate 95 a homicide, police said. State prosecutors must now decide if their mother will face new felony charges. Shirlene Alcime, the 42-year-old mother, is being held in the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center on two counts of child neglect resulting in great bodily harm. She pleaded not guilty to those charges in March. On Friday, Miami-Dade police told the Miami Herald they would be meeting with the Miami-Dade State Attorney’s Office to determine if any additional charges will be filed based on the medical examiner’s new findings.

I have a status hearing on 8/9/24 coming up for her.

Six months later, it’s still unclear how 3-year-old twins ended up dead inside a car on Interstate 95.
[....]
NBC6 requested the medical examiner's report but was denied. The medical examiner’s office stated the report is “confidential and exempt” because "an autopsy report of a minor whose death was related to an act of domestic violence held by a medical examiner is confidential and exempt.” They said only a surviving parent of the deceased minor may view a copy of the autopsy report “if the surviving parent did not commit the act of domestic violence which led to the minor’s death.”

Alcime could be facing murder-related charges, according to Miami-Dade Police, however, state attorneys haven’t determined the exact charges they will file.
[.....]
MDPD later clarified that detectives still need to meet with the State Attorney’s Office to determine what the charge will be, and that it could range from murder, manslaughter or second-degree murder.
[.....]
Despite jumping off the overpass, Alcime survived and pleaded not guilty to the charges against her in March. She’s currently in jail after getting denied bond.

unfortunately, no next hearing date - so I will have to tag @PayrollNerd - when you have time - any next dates yet? TIA! :)
