Sad and possible...but I am not sure about someone doing that near a road? I have another idea -- that something happened and someone panicked, took her out of a car, leaving her at the roadside.

Or your idea, but she changed her mind, walked from somewhere nearby to seek assistance, but then collapsed near the road?

I think she'll be identified this year.

Oh my goodness, everything matches, from her piercing, scars, height, weight, hair, even the blue shorts. (Just my opinion.)

Homestead seems pretty far from Fort Pierce.

Definitely does. No nose ring in the 2 photos of Ms. Sullivan. In my opinion, she could pass for much older than 15.
