Hi Kensie! I have been watching some on HLN, saw nan tonight. I think that Frank Taaffe (whatever) is driving her nuts. I also think it is the sataions idea to have him on. Talk about a racist!! he's no.1 in my book. I wonder what people would say if this were reversed. A car full of white kids and a black man shot one of them? This is all insane. I just hope the jury comes up with what they feel is the right thing to do. IMO. O/T I went out tonight!! :floorlaugh: went to Wallyworld to do some shopping. felt so good.:loveyou:

I'm thankful I will never cross paths with Taffy (as long as he stays put in Florida, cause I'm damn sure no one in my family will ever set foot in Florida)
I wouldn't be capable of restraining myself. I'd have to kick him in the shin or whatnots;)

I agree Steely. Dunn's been sailing along on his Dad's coattails for so long, worked at his Dad's company for several years before he unfortunately killed this young teen, killed Jordan for no reason at that. I don't think he's been told NO for most of his life, although he has had some scrapes with the law, but nothing his parents couldn't buy him out of... IMHO.

Totally my thoughts too. Then in the jail house letters he tells GF they can go to Utah by his parents place. Did he ever stop to think maybe the P's are trying to get away from HIM....
No, now he is dragging a soon to be 4th wife for them to help him take care of. Something is not right upstairs. LOL

The margins are gone! I cant thank unless I scroll waaaaaaayyyyyy down the line.:laughcry: :loveyou:

By Jove the lines are back!!:floorlaugh:

They're fixed now Nore. :loveyou: Long time no talk to Nore, I've been slacking off on my trial watching, tsk tsk! I've got insomnia tonight, been watching "The Closer Season 1" on Amazon Prime for FREE! Now I'm up to Season 2 and I don't know whether to watch or go to bed. My eyes are like big saucers, I kid you not.

I was just watching part one of the Dunn trial on YouTube and have had a bit of an epiphany about why the jury might have wanted to view the video. Steven Smith testified that as he was walking out the door to his truck a voice shouting "you're not gonna talk to me that way!" And that is of course when Dunn reached for his gun. I think the jury might be trying to guesstimate how much time it took for Dunn to get his gun and ready it to shoot. Dunn said it only took a couple of seconds. But it seems like, based on Smith's testimony it might have taken a bit longer than that, showing Dunn made a clear and thoughtful decision to grab the gun and use it. I'll have to re-watch Dunn's testimony to see if he's saying Jordan tried to attack him before or after he shouted that (or what he says is "you're not gonna kill me today!") but it also seems unlikely, in either scenario, that if Jordan was advancing on him and ready to attack, that Dunn would have had enough time to grab his gun and ready it and shoot before Jordan could have made it to him if it did indeed take more than a couple seconds. What I also gather, and what the jury may notice, was how quick the argument was. Smith says that when he was at the counter you could still hear the music. Not a minute later he walks out and says that he could no longer hear the music. The jury may just be trying to piece together an approximate time line based on testimony and the video. That's exactly what I'd be doing. We'll see what happens.

That's an excellent thought. I think you're giving a Florida jury too much credit though.

BTW, I've been thinking. (I know unbelievable right) Everyone seems to think it's 11 people against one. I have a feeling it's one person against eleven.

During Dunn's testimony regarding the Black Friday letter to his brother, the focus was on Dunn's conflicting statements about whether Jordan was in the car or opening door and coming out of it.

Multiple computer glitches had my DH techie working on my computer yesterday. Too many windows open lately with multiple live-streams running!

I ended up on the sofa with the back-up laptop I have a hard time reading, so my reply is late!

I think the jury has been focusing on the timeline and Dunn's inconsistencies. They wanted the date for the letter as there was no year on it. Now, they are able to line up his interview with LE after the killing, the letter, and his testiphony in court.

I'm not surprised there is no verdict yet, considering such things as stated above. In addition, we can all agree that the jury instructions are a labyrinth that even the judge and attorneys had a hard time with them.

Give them the time to untangle the knots. I'd prefer that to an ill-thought-out, quick decision as we've seen in other cases I don't need to name.

Letter from 6/23:

"For some reason, they're not taking me seriously and doing what I said! I sure am not used to being ignored like this..."

Regarding when the phones were out on some floors at the jail, and MD wanted them fixed. He's a control freak, imo. Wow.

Yeppers, controlling by shooting them and teaching the "thugs" a lesson. In another letter he writes "This may sound a bit radical, but if more people would arm themselves and kill these ******ing idiots when they're threating (sic) you, eventually they may take the hint and change their behavior"

(crossing fingers I don't blow margins)

I'm thinking, hoping, it's the difference in the charges not that he's not guilty. I'm thinking the issue is between 1st and 2nd degree. There is no doubt he is guilty and was only thinking of himself. He clearly let's his arrogance show through his testimony when his attorney isn't spoon feeding him. No remorse whatsoever. jmo

I listened to HLN a bit yesterday and it was pointed out that ANY guilty verdict on each charge could lead to major jail time. One example was manslaughter. It is a 9-30 year sentence. Attempted murder charge is 20 years. If found guilty of manslaughter, the judge would probably not give him the minimum and could stack other guilty sentences. That made me feel a little bit better.

I had not seen the interior of the courtroom from this angle before.

Wow, thank you! I was wondering what the sentences were for the various charges. As long as this narcissistic racist never sets foot outside of prison again for the rest of his life, I'm good. But, I firmly believe the State proved M1 beyond a reasonable doubt and I believe Jordan's family and Leland, Tevin and Tommie all deserve guilty verdicts against this smug, self-righteous monster.

I agree. I think that with all those charges they want to get it right. I think they are trying to be thorough.

Is Florida a state where the sentencing follows IMMEDIATELY after the verdict without any delay? Jodi's trial and immediate sentencing is stuck in my mind, and I cannot recall Florida's standards.

TIA
