(I know I'm way behind, sorry), a type 1 is unable to produce insulin, while a type 2 is unable to process what insulin they do produce. Type 1 is definitely more dangerous. If a T1 eats without having the necessary dosage, there is nothing to stop the blood sugar levels from skyrocketing. Short-term this can cause confusion, changes in vision, among other things, and potentially stroke. Long-term high sugar levels can cause the kidney & nerve, etc damage that you hear about. What happens when a diabetic is low on insulin? I understand they can be sick, but deranged, confused??

Just observing but dad isn't doing any pleading? He did just lose his mother and is probably worried about his son but I wonder if they had tension. Jmo.

I think that you misunderstood me. Someone claimed that the divorce took 11 (eleven) and a half years. Is that even possible?
Your lone wolf comment reminds me of his fb post.As a child of divorce I can say that it was probably not the actual Holiday itself, Thursday, that might have been painful for him. It was possibly the overall situation. He is in an empty home, with grandma babysitting him. In his mind, both his parents were possibly distracted by their 'new' lives. They were innocently unaware but I still believe that he felt like 'a lone wolf.'
I think there were 'clear signs' that things were not right for quite awhile. Just because Mom says 'he was fine' does not mean he was fine. His Mom lives far away and has 3 new babies and has a whole different life. Calling your Mom and saying 'HI' is not that fulfilling for a 15 yr old that is having difficulties in school and at home and in life in general.
I think the most difficult time in my son's life was around age 15. He pretty much hated me and hubby, locked himself in his room and blasted Eminem for endless hours---but he did still 'need us' to be there--down the hall. It is a tumultuous time.
I say that as a child of divorce and remember still how painful it was--especially for my younger brother. A lot of 'ugly, messy' issues are revealed and it haunts a child to have to see those things about those who you love and rely upon. And you may feel abandoned and alone, in spite of them saying they love you.
I know plenty of kids that live through divorced families and do fine with it. But a lot has to do with how the families deal with it and how they care for and nurture their child. When one parent moves out of state and has a few new children it can be very stressful--especially if the child is not thriving in the other home. JMO
My Mother was a diabetic, and she always had to keep her insulin in the fridge. Always kept refrigerated, no matter what. When traveling she kept it in those insulated lunch bags, w/packs of ice.
So what I'm thinking is this young man is going to have to be stopping a long the way for ice, and hopefully someone will recognize him.
Another thought...if it's sold 'over the counter', is it refrigerated? I don't get that?????
Here on her LinkedIn you can see from her work history that she lived in MI until at least 2010.

Someone else here mentioned it earlier as well, so perhaps they read it in an article.
This article states she moved into her current home only about a week ago, but she must have been in FL for longer. https://www.google.com/amp/amp.acti...-continues-for-her-and-her-grandson/652723152

Yes, when my father (and several years earlier, my cat) required insulin that was sold "OTC", it had to be picked up from the pharmacy where it was refrigerated. I was never required to show ID to pick up OTC insulin, but I did have to go to the pharmacy to obtain it.Yes, insulin is kept in a refrigerator at Walmart pharmacies.
Yep, it appears to be the case here. Sadly.

I never claimed that the divorce took 11 1/2 years. What I said was that the divorce and post decree actions went on for 11 1/2 years.I think that you misunderstood me. Someone claimed that the divorce took 11 (eleven) and a half years. Is that even possible?
Really? Can a divorce take that long? or just the settlement?Yep, it appears to be the case here. Sadly.
