That man never established paternity. Plus, CPS requires a lot from family members to get custody.

All they should have required was a home study and a DNA test. Maybe he hasn't tried to get custody? I really hope it's not a state jurisdiction issue. I'm sure baby is okay with his aunt but I'm curious as to why dad hasn't stepped up/isn't able to have him. He only has one loving parent left. Sad.

The witch doctor's calendar call is June 10th. On the court website, you can see that his attorney will be deposing all of her family members via zoom in July. Does anyone know why family members would be deposed by the defense ?

I think LE had information that led them to believe Leila's body was in the landfill, but they just couldn't find her. It's like finding a needle in a haystack. Very sad for the family.

Self-proclaimed witch arrested in apprentice’s murder speaks from Broward jail

In 2020, 21-year-old Leila Cavett traveled with her young son from Georgia to South Florida to sell a white pickup truck to a man named Shannon Ryan. But she suddenly vanished.

''Ryan, a self-proclaimed witch, told Local 10′s Crime Specialist Bridgette Matter from the Broward County Jail that he did not kill Cavett.

“I can’t go into the particulars of the case like that because this is being recorded, but me and her had previous acquaintances together,” Ryan said.''

Awwhh....what I wouldn't give to have her be found! What frustrates me the most with this case is that S.R. has made it his story....his self-proclaimed trying to help this as he describes "wreck" of a woman and she just went off into the night with a bunch of random men. One can only imagine what the actual truth was....but I imagine she is nothing like what he says as we know he is nowhere near what he claims to be. I think we can just assume whatever he says....the opposite of that is probably the truth.
